I was under the assumption that most of the refunds don't actually involve that since you get Steam credit?
Depends on your choice of payment method.

Yup, lol.Oh god, haha. Wasn't it 10,000 koins? That unlocked 2 or 3 items in the krypt.
The only issue I still have is that MK10.exe sometimes keeps running even after exiting to Windows, but that's it. I doubt they'll ever fix that :/ I have to kill it manually when that happens.Did they ever completely fixed that game? (Framerate issues with x-rays and the storm level)
Thats automated. Happens with any game pulled from sale.apparently it even retroactively disappeared from Top Sellers
On the help page it says they try and refund your credit card and if they can't then they give you steam wallet moneyI was under the assumption that most of the refunds don't actually involve that since you get Steam credit?
You can refund it to your payment method or Steam Wallet.
I guess seeing that they worked on "You Don't Know JACK" is quite fitting, considering the circumstances.
So apparently they will re-release the game in the Fall, but I wonder if the current owners will get a patch of some kind before that.
can't wait for arkham knight a realm reborn 2.0

Who foots the bill for the reversed credit card transactions? Valve?
couple of things:
previously, pre-order revenue was close to a cast iron lock.with every stinker you'd get a few naggy ninnies who'd lumber on down to gamestop and demand a refund or kick up a fuss through official channels, but most would either just trade in a badly made game or have it linger in their collection like a bad smell.
steam refunds changes the dynamic here and warner have to react to it. for pre-order revenue to suddenly become an unknown quantity due to the likelihood of refunds is a terrifying thing for a publisher and they have to act decisively to confront it.
secondly:
i don't want a crack team of surgeons to try and piece this mess back together within the launch window. it's clearly rotten to its core and a mea culpa of this magnitude calls for an equally extreme solution: redo the port in-house (or atleast overseen by them) from the ground up. the only thing that can possibly bring a happy ending is if the lasting narrative is elevated from one of mitigated failure to one of glorious redemption.
Ironically they have one of the more promising EA games out right now.Good, not a fan of AAA developers releasing Early Access Games :^)
You're reading that wrong. It only says SteamOS, Linux, and Mac for Fall 2015, which is nothing new.
Warner must have whooped developers ass due to this. And Iron Galaxy is probably DEAD/soon to be dead.
Not knowing what the timeline is for this re-launch of this puts a lot of us in limbo I think -- trying to decide whether we wait it out and re-buy on PC, or (if you have the option) go PS4. I feel like, one of the things I've been trying to avoid this whole time is 30 FPS gaming, so going to PS4 doesn't really circumvent this mess for me.
Would appreciate a statement from WB/Rocksteady/IronGalaxy on timeline for re-launch as soon as possible. Clearly the issues are systemic, so seeing a patch in a few days time doesn't seem likely. I'm thinking it'll take about as much time as it took Ubi to fix Unity, which iirc was like a month.

According to Reddit, this release also had a really short time for Iron Galaxy to port it.
Good on them for doing the right thing and pulling it/offering refunds but how did it ever ship in such a bad state? Don't these companies even look at what their putting out?
Unprecedented move...especially since 98% of my current playthrough was JUST FINE. Game is extremly far away from any sort of "unplayable state", but they thought that their customers deserve better. So... MAJOR kudos to them.
In the last few years Ubi, Blizz and EA straight up released totally UNPLAYABLE games on PC and almost never bat an eyelid when their communities went apeshit.
Seriously doubt it.
I honestly can't imagine another publisher wanting to work with Iron Galaxy Studios after this incident, regardless of how much they are at fault.
You can still buy the game on resellers like GMG, Direct2Drive, Gamesplanet etc. Not sure why its not being removed from there.
That's false. Whoever started saying that didn't realise they were looking at the time the sub was last modified. It was created last May and has had Arkham Knight in it from the off, with the game's secondary data depots (additional languages) being added about five months ago. IG had plenty of time.
I doubt anyone is gonna give them any work, considering their rep.

Pretty sure MS is still working with them. I'm not convinced one bad port can end your studio. High Voltage has made terrible ports in the past and they are still operating. Even Iron Galaxy made a poor Borderlands 2 vita port and still got contracts after.
My humble guess is that they aren't the only party at fault here.
Everyone's talking about how steam refunds are great (and it's true- they,re the only reason WB is doing this)
I also see posts saying that '' maybe now other developers won,t release shitty PC ports''.
Couldn't they just not release their game on steam instead? No refunds problems in that case..
Their rep from gamers on forums who have no idea what went on behind the scenes?
I wonder how long it will take them to fix the issue though.

Someone's thought of these already, I assume, but:
1) Holy recall, Batman!
2) Batmobile gets repo'd
3) The Dark Knight Refunds
