This is just mind blowing. I like to think we (Mexico) are a pretty religious country, but nothing happened when gay marriage was legalized. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough?

He's getting picked on because people like her are perpetuating the hate and discrimiantion against gay people. She should be the change she wants to see in the world.
 
Woah, I just checked on my mom's facebook and basically, my dad's side of the family is super religious and unsurprisingly, they're all very indignant about this SCOTUS ruling, and playing up the whole Christian persecution angle, the mindset of certain religious people truly terrifies me, I'm so glad my side of the family didn't turn out quite like them.

I wonder what the reaction would be if they find out that I not only support this but I'm also gay myself.

Yeah. I was enjoying the salt until she mentioned her daughter is a lesbian and how he grandson gets picked on but guess what? That's your daughter and your grandson, and those same people picking on them are just the spitting image of you. She's going on and on about her beliefs of what a family should be being assaulted all the while simultaneously abandoning her own.
 
I saw some bigot on the local news earlier saying that this decision "destroyed democracy" and that it goes against the "majority of Americans that are against same-sex marriage" (or something like that, it was the 6pm news or so)

People have a funny definition of the word "majority" these days

I think it's funny that people here think today's ruling gives them free reign to name call people who disagree with their beliefs.

Calling the Belize lady a "bitch" and "human trash" is shameful.

She would call for the continued discrimination and sustained unequality of Gays and Lesbians.

Her own daughter is gay. Her daughter has a partner and a daughter of her own. Yet she now cries that this is no longer her country now that Gay marriage is legal.

Her rationale for Children not having gay parents is that her granddaughter is bullied. So of course it is more important to uphold the right of the bully than it is to improve society to the point where no child should ever feel the need to bully another for having gay parents.

Rather than be happy for her family, she cries about leaving the country. She is trash of the highest order.
 
I tried listening to Belize lady, but as soon as she said her daughter was a lesbian I had to turn it off. What a sad, paranoid life she must live.
