Gamescom: Microsoft press conference (August 4; Scalebound, Crackdown, QB, H5+ more)

I'm excited for all three. I just hope that the release dates are not all Christmas time 2016, and I believe we already know Quantum Break is next Spring.

Quantum Break could be before Spring, ReCore is spring and Scalebound is likely in the first half of the year. It's currently looking like the big games should be spaced out nicely for 2016.

the company is literally called cloudgine

but yeah, they talked about it at last year's e3, on and off-stage

the game engine is based on cloud

http://www.cloudgine.com/

Scalebound is the biggest mystery...and hopefully it is the last thing they show (meaning it's supposed to be the biggest game, and that's something deserving for Kamiya-san).

At least Crackdown we already had several games. Quantum Break, we've had gameplay footage...but Scalebound is the mystery and we're just excited because that trailer is like...CMON what is this, I WANT TO KNOW.

In Kamiya We Trust.

I really disliked the reveal cg trailer. The dev has a good pedigree, hopefully the game is awesome, but the style and art direction shown thus far puts my interest currently at "ugh".

Wonder if they have any new IP announces like Recore, possibly being made by an Euro studio?

Even for just Crackdown, Quantum Break and Scalebound I'm pumped. This Gamescom feels like MS is finally taking it seriously now.

Hoping we finally get dates for Scalebound and Quantum Break. I'd assume we'll also see Press Play and Twisted Pixel's next games announced here as well?

I think we need to worry more about finding out what Scalebound actually is before worrying about a date. I'm sure with Kamiya involved it'll be interesting and good, but still, we literally know nothing about the game outside it being a genre that Kamiya hasn't done before.

Cannot wait to see what Scalebound is. One of my most anticipated games!

Also, I really want to see what direction they are taking Crackdown in. Was all that destruction demo stuff a real indicator or the direction they want to go? Are we going back to Crackdown 1 and have the massive gangs roaming around but this time with more depth!

QB looks great but I want to see more gameplay.

Twisted Pixel? Press Play? They're the only studios I can think of that we don't know what they're currently doing.

What is Twisted Pixel doing nowadays? I thought a 'Spolsion Man, Jr. was surely going to happen, but I haven't heard anything about them for awhile.

Here is my hopes and dreams for what will be shown:

-Halo 5 BTB & Forge shown
-Halo 5 limited edition console shown
-TR hopefully show an actual tomb.
-Some more F5 footage, and maybe announce a Porsche deal.
-More QB gameplay with new enemies shown (and release date)
-Scalebound gameplay that lives up to the hype
-crackdown with epic cloud destruction
-Recore gameplay
-killer instinct season 3
-Next Twisted Pixel game shown
-New Inside footage shown & release date
-Several new Indy games given the spotlight
-list of first wave of BC titles released (based on user votes)
-price drop for Europe
-New Fallout4 footage
-Mafia 3 announce
-More FIFA info (and hopefully they dropped the exclusive stuff, though I doubt it)

People are saying it might be multiplayer focused due to utilizing the cloud. If that's that case then I'm less hyped to see it. If there's a single player campaign then I'll be hyped for it. We'll see in August.

All of the cloud based stuff we've seen them show thus far is related to the rendering of physics stuff and if all it is is simple dedicated servers for multiplayer, it would be a disappointment (although that would be much appreciated for coop). The game was a coop sandbox game from the very first game which is why I'm unsure why a multiplayer or coop mode would upset you.

Including multiplayer and coop doesn't upset me, but if the game is multiplayer only then I will be upset. As long as they follow the first game (haven't played the second game) then I'll be happy. I honestly forgot that coop was an aspect of the series until you brought it up.

Add Rare's smaller game and Press Play reveal, and that'd be a superb conference

There is no need to show H5 BTB, because its a post launch playlist. Warzone is that new BTB until then.
They have to show something impressive from Halo 5. Show me this big open scale levels you are talking about all day but couldnt show at E3 because reasons...
And Forge will be Forge...

What are the chances of Rare working on another IP concurrently with Sea of Thieves? I know that they were able to handle multiple games during the N64 era but I haven't followed them in recent years.

They said 2/3 of the team is working on SoT

Was Rare Replay handled in house? I assume that they had a small team work on it, so I can definitely see the other 1/3 working on another IP. Doubt it will be shown but it would be amazing if it came out of nowhere.

Forge needs to be something special with Doom having that new SnapMap system. It needs to be robust and offer more options.
