TW3 is so good, i just purchased another copy on PC. I don't regret it. Its an amazing game. Until TPP comes out, i think its my fav game this year.

You know tho... in TW3 i had to turn off a lot of ui and crap to make it clean and nice for immersion. It pays off. I like how TPP does that already. No mini map or that crap. I just think that is the way to experience a game like this.

I have nothing against Kiefer's "hiya" but if you have to ride a long time i can see this could get a bit annoying. I'd much prefer if he only says it here and then and not every single time you press the damn button.

Can't believe no play tester complained about it or the developers who get to play the game every single day.

Another small thing is the shit on the left when you get hit or do a headshot or takedown or whatever, i don't need to see that shit, hope you can turn that off in the options.

Besides that the game looks like the best game ever.

People who got to play the game said while the horse in RDR feels more like driving a car D-Horse feels more like Agro in Shadow of the Colossus, it has weight to it and feels really great they said.

Really? a car? RDR has the best horses i have ever seen. Epona in OoT is second, then Shadow of the Colossus.

I guess i should add TW3 horse in there somewhere. Just not for fighting, man.. that sucks in that game. But to get around its awesome.

Every partner has a negative factor about them. The ironic thing with Quiet is that she is distracting, not just visually, but audibly with the humming.

Then I am more than happy since Agro has always been my standard for how a horse should feel in a game. RDR felt like the horse had no will at all which was such a turn off for riding it.

Well you get what i mean, the horses in RDR have no real weight to it if you compare it to a horse like Agro.

Also i can't remember who exactly said that the horses in RDR feel like cars in GTA but i found it pretty funny.

I can understand the horse weight. That much is true. Horses, are just very hard to get right imo, and you can't tell from just looking at them. All about how they feel when you play the game. Should be exciting!!!! FIFTY THREE DAYS!!!!!!

I can understand the horse weight. That much is true. Horses, are just very hard to get right imo, and you can't tell from just looking at them. All about how they feel when you play the game. Should be exciting!!!! FIFTY THREE DAYS!!!!!!

If OP is interested, this was released not too long ago:

1. Partnering with Quiet:

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN introduces a unique ‘Buddy’ system, wherein the player can select a recruited ally for use in missions. Quiet is a selectable ‘Buddy’ in the game, who possesses incredible sniping abilities. The first video showcases footage which demonstrates a mission where the player approaches a remote outpost using Quiet to orchestrate coordinated attacks to quickly incapacitate enemies and provide cover for Snake as he completes his mission.

2. Surgical Air Raid:

Missions can also be tackled in a more overt manner, and the second video shows METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN’s more action-orientated elements. Having equipped series hero Snake with heavy riot gear, the player uses the artillery equipped on their helicopter to take out key installations within a night mission. Using automatic weapons, Snake then storms the outpost in a huge firefight, before locating and retrieving his target.

3. Remote Assassination:

Patience is a virtue in METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN and the final video is used to show how missions can be completed from afar and also shows Snake’s Blast Arm in use for the first time. Having entered the area with a heavily-armoured D-Horse as his Buddy, Snake waits until night time before taking out a guard using a blast from his prosthetic arm. The arm’s projectile weapon capabilities are then showed as the player uses ‘Missile Cam’ to take out a central target akin to the Nikita System introduced in past METAL GEAR SOLID titles.

4. Thinking “Outside the Box”:

The METAL GEAR SOLID series is famed for its stealth gameplay, and the third video is used to demonstrate how old favourites and new skills combine to create even more sneaking options for the player. The footage begins with Snake intercepting troops en route to an outpost having used the famed cardboard box in clever new ways. Via careful planting of explosives and an unwitting sentry, the mission is completed without even entering the base.
 
Watching the English version, I noticed the sonar function made a six million dollar man sound. Besides that and the music tracks I can't wait to see what other 80's nods there will be.
 
Its a 31 min video. So i am sure that is about right haha. Totally worth it. I hope its a 1080 version too. The youtube video is only a 720. Doesn't do justice to the game.
The first E3 video was 1080p/60fps at a exactly 40 mins and it weighted in at 8,5GB.
Torrent was - understandably - the only option, haha
It's should be fullhd again.. it better be!
 
I really dislike that the Peace Walker theme plays during the "Sortie Prep" screen. Could there maybe be a brand new theme since this is a brand new game? Why re-use the theme to a previous game in the series? It just feels place-holdery and unnecessary.

Just my two cents.

Just my two cents.

From my understanding the team went to great lengths to add customization to everything. I would not be surprised if you can change the themes you play for this kind of stuff.

Didn't think of that - lets hope that there is in fact a way to customize even the "Sortie Prep" music!!!

I mean, you can customize the music that plays in the chopper. Images that show up in the chopper and what not. Just a hunch tho...

Maybe tweet Tora? or Robert?

I'm sure i'm in the minority....

But none of the videos i've seen makes me think "they this is Metal Gear, it's gonna be awesome !".

I just see the same kind of things happen, I see none of what I actually loved about the series being there.

Granted they had to evolve, but this is literally too drastic of a change after MGS 4. It's more the evolution of Peace Walker, and I hated that game :/ .

Makes me kinda sad.
 
I'm looking forward to putting Quiet in a less terrible outfit. At the very least I won't have to explain my words and deeds to anybody who watches me play.

What are these short snippit missions showcased in this video? (Capture/Kill target) Optional side missions? I hope the main plot does not involve a lot of these... :/

Even watching this video, I'm getting bored of them. They fast-forward most of the long travel to the target area... so those travel sequences will be boring then...
 
What if they are even skimpier?

I honestly hope this is the case and she can go in buck ass naked so people will quit whining at every chance that presents itself. It's sad that we've seen an earbud getting pulled out of a dude's neck yet people spend all of their time discussing the game griping about an outfit from an optional character.

I agree, I thought D-Horse look kinda like the red dead horses... ( in a handling way)
But the read dead horses don't have the weighty heft that you mention.

Anybody who played Read Dead would know that the horses aren't like cars, even the reviews for the game go to great lengths about how the horses were done right.

Although I do like the weightier look of the D-Horse, it looks like it's gonna handle nicely.
