I'm losing hope in a Paypal payment option actually making the cut...
c'mon guys, I have $3k sitting here, ready to go

They'll add it afterwards if they do add it. They'll want to get as many funds through Kickstarter as possible and probably won't announce extra funding until after the campaign ends. There won't be any urgency otherwise and people wouldn't pledge thinking they'll have more time afterwards. Getting the initial Kickstarter fund as high as possible is important and they won't want to compromise that number.

Pledged for 29$ today :) Its been quite a rough year for me money wise... For example I needed to make a lot of sacrifices to have been able to save 3/400 for my vacation at the end of august haha... But I did want to pledge even if I haven't played the games just for people who dream. It gives me fate that one day I will go through the roof a new Crash Bandicoot or Spyro is annouched :) Cheerz guys

I made this for you:

Pretty much what I've been thinking. People can be lazy and can sometimes be bothered to do something only if there's a deadline to things hahaha.

That's bad marketing though. You'll want your total as high as you can get it during the Kickstarter because that attracts more pledges as you come closer to more stretch goals. Especially for a big game like Shenmue more money means a more attractive game for people to look forward to. Amounts and goals reached after the campaign ends are MUCH harder to communicate.

I agree, but I doubt Awesome Japan have a way of streamlining both amounts in to one total. If there was a simple way for them to have both pledge methods go towards the accumulative total in real-time that would be great. The best option would be to announce PayPal donations that can count towards the total and not announce any continuation of funding after it ends. That way the urgency is there and the PayPal users can pledge towards the campaign.

Siblings eh? Long lost mother of Ryo incoming and living in rural China. Her and Hazuki senior got it on and had twins, one raised in China the other in
Tatooine
Yokosuka. Might explain Ryo's dreams.

That's cool. Though just the first hour isn't going to shine a light on much. Don't think there's even any FREE battles in that time. Better than nothing I guess, though I remember some of their articles not being too positive.
Apparently it's because they have a lot of other playthroughs they're doing at the moment but they mention they'll do more of Shenmue if members say they want to see more.

oh man. for real?

Yeah :(

Plenty of campaigns add paypal during the kickstarter instead of afterwards, depending on the timing and what kind of rewards they'll give they could risk losing a big chunk of donations, including mine

Yeah :(

If you really want to care, you should contribute via the KS. A bigger percentage is taken from Paypal, and the developer receives more funding by the Kickstarter. Donating through the Kickstarter would put more funds towards the development of the game. A lot of developers like Playtonic for Yooka-Laylee encouraged donations to Kickstarter even though they had PayPal setup.

So is today looking to be the slowest day of the campaign so far?

I really hope they can pull a rabbit out soon because I cant see a sudden surge coming :(

It can't possibly be lower than the day only $10,000 was raised. Remember that day? When the snow turned to rain.

Today is decent in terms of funds. As of now there are 8 days that have been worse and the drop from yesterday is still getting smaller. Maybe, maybe approaching a turning point for the better. Need more backers as usual though.
