It's a problem that Kickstarter itself needs to sort out. Perhaps some sort of surcharge applied for higher tiers which will be automatically and immediately applied when a person selects, say, 1,000 resulting in 5-10% levied. At the end if the person still wants to go ahead with the pledge then the levy is deducted from the pledge total. If not then the surcharge is retained by the campaign. It might give pledge trolls pause to consider their behaviour.

I'm in at the $100 tier because its fucking Shenmue 3, but wondering about what 'options' I have come ship. Would I for instance be able to opt for the PS4 physical but also get the PC beta/trial version (since that wont probably go PS4)?
I would have been tempted by the $120 tier to get a toy too, but 'random' is shit I don't play with. Especially remembering all those fucking dice that came pouring out of Shenmue's gacha machines.

You get the PC trial at $100 and then choose between physical or digital for either platform.

By the time this thing's done 10k here and there will be a drop in the ocean, so I'm not really worried about that angle so much as it'd suck if someone was holding onto a limited tier like the 'be an NPC' tier and therefore prevented someone who genuinely wanted it from getting the chance at it.

Looks like ShenmueDojo's sequel to the 30 on the 3rd campaign is a funding drive for Shenmue's final days:
Guess they want to unite the fans again to maximise the inevitable pledge boost we should be seeing towards the end. The official website is here for those interested.

We're 13k away from the next stretch goal. Hopefully, that speeds things up and pushes other undecided people to start pledging/upgrade their pledge. I'm still thinking about upping my pledge to $80 but I'm really pushing my wallet (plus, our currency isn't doing so well compared to the dollar, so the price of my pledge has been going up since I last pledged... soo, welp :/ )
If we reach $5m by Sunday, maybe we can still reach $7m by the end of the campaign if the last push is good enough? It's hard to make guesses since this Kickstarter campaign has been an exception to the rule since the beginning, but I really hope it follows the usual Kickstarter pattern of having big pushes by the end of the campaign. Glad to know that the Shenmue fans are up to something to help create that push though.
