You make him watch Breaking Bad.

Still filming seems weird since it's supposed to be out in december, feels like they started ages ago. Wonder if something came up.

They started shooting in Feb. It should be wrapping up this month. Seems normal. Daredevil shot from July to Dec last year, was released in April. Season 2 started shooting this month, so they're probably on the same schedule.

I'm a bit surprised that Daredevil and Jessica Jones seem to be overlapping in terms of filming. Doesn't Marvel only shoot one movie at a time? I guess it's different with this Netflix deal.

Weren't Ant-Man and Ultron shooting at the same time?

Next year Marvel will have 3 films to shoot: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarök and Spider-Man. There is definitely going to be overlap with the filming, so it's not surprising if it happens on the Netflix shows. Plus: different creative teams.

Infinity War 1&2 start filming next year as well. Granted you can cross Spider-Man off the list, since Sony is handling the production itself. That's still a shitload of filming to do for a year, even when you exclude the Netflix/TV properties.

It's easier to avoid overlap when you're doing two 80-day film shoots as opposed to two 7-month tv series shoots a year.

Place something inside of him, that can kill him and hope Ant Man isnt around.

Nobody could operate it out because diamond hard skin.

Didn't they do a story like that, can't remember if it was Ultimate or 616, but somehow Luke Cage got like internal bleeding, and he was in the hospital and everyone was freaking out he was gonna die because the syringes kept breaking on his skin so they couldn't administer any medication or operate on him?

Like at all or just past a certain limit? Can he feel pleasure?

Logically, no, but Marvel didn't really think that through.

I think it was Secret War, but it could happened multiple times.

They look great! I wish I could see this in action already. I already have seen tons of photos of three people just standing around.

After reading Alias recently which was great, I really hope the show captures the Clerks style depressive dark comedy tone about a PI down on her luck who gets into wacky situations which mainly end up with her saying "fuck" a lot.

What I hope they don't do is try to make it a serious gritty show about the brief purple man arc (which was only a tiny tiny part of Alias), because JJ without the fun would be completely missing the point.

Do we know if there will be full R-rated swearing at least?

YO.That's the first time I've. Seen Mike and thought "that's Luke Cage"

About those. Pics I'm sure he is a big guy but the back seat being higher is making him look bigger than normal.

Melissa Rosenberg talks about Jessica Jones' powers:

But don't expect Daredevil-level fight scenes in the next Marvel Netflix TV series, the 13-episode show about a former superhero who turns in her tights and becomes a private detective after a series of tragic events.

"We're not Daredevil. We don't have a costume with a mask," Rosenberg says. "We have a very talented actress, Krysten Ritter and it's her face all the time. Our reality is extremely grounded. If you read the Alias comic books, it's Jessica Jones on the toilet with her pants around her ankles. Jessica Jones did not train in martial arts, she's a street brawler. If you piss her off, boom, she kicks you."

And that extends to the stunt work as well.

"She doesn't fly but she can jump many stories, and she lands really badly, which is why she doesn't do it too often," Rosenberg says. "And the less you see it, the more believable it is. There will be flights in every episode and they'll get bigger and bigger and bigger but that's not my priority. That's not the nature of the story. This show is more character driven than anything like a scene in that universe."

No surprise that they going the more grounded, less fantastical route here.

Anyone else thinking she'll get her powers from the same chemical accident as Matt? Like they'll play a little perspective trick where we see kid Matt screaming "I CAN'T SEE!", and just on the other side of the truck is Jessica, completely doused in the stuff? It would be too coincidental to be like "and here's another radioactive chemical spill!"

As for Luke, Damn he looks huge.

BTW I loved in Thunderbolts when Atlas (former Powerman) threw Luke (former Powerman) in the Ocean and he had to swim back as the Bolts took out the Avengers.

Was it my imagination, or did a blog credit Mike Colter being in 24, only for the comments section to go "uh, no. You're thinking of the OTHER BLACK GUY"?

Hopefully, they start marketing for this soon. Considering what they did for Daredevil, it'd be cool to see a motion poster for JJ on a building near me soon.
