He really was. I remember being legitimately afraid of him as a kid. The voice, stature... Hope they don't steer away from that.
Haven't seen it in a while but, yeah, that remains my favorite Marvel movie. Maybe tied with the first Iron Man.
See what is wrong with this? Look I know we love the comics, and the cartoons, but you can't just give every single character a plot line 2+ hour movie. Or would you rather have a mess like fucking AoU. Because I sure as shit don't want to see a Storm sub-plot where she goes to Africa in the middle of the movie to confront the Shadow King.
If this is pulled off right, its my last interest in comic book movies. Not feeling that first glimpse at him. He needs to look more like Thanos in the Avengers stuff.
X-men series really hit or miss. Really love Fassbender/Jackman/Mccavoy. Really like the X2 Nightcrawler, Mystique, and Magneto, Xavier's casting was a stroke of genius, what they started with the Phoenix saga. Didn't like Cyclops, new Mystique, bunch of X-men 1.

that's why i never fully agreed with making the XMen a movie franchise to begin with, because it would have been impossible to cram all the favourites in. Then again, I dislike these movies for a lot of other reeasons too, including the most beloved X2 which I still don't know why it's so well regarded by some people

Too bad Hollywood has no history of making shorter dudes look convincingly tall. How are they going to get around this? Maybe they'll come up with something.

That was the only time I enjoyed watching a Nickelback music video. That was from the first film, but 1 and 2 were very fun movies. 3 was just weird.
X3 had some parts that could have been done better, but otherwise the series has been good to me. X3 could have worked on developing the characters a little bit better and their looks.
We're living in times when Lord of the Rings / Hobbit movies happened. If they wanted him to be bigger, they could easily make him look bigger on screen.

It amazes me how shitty they made him out to be all these years. Someone must not like him.I just hope that finally this is film where the X-men fight as a team with Cyclops being the boss that he is giving orders in the heat of battle.

I still like X2. That it's The One With Nightcrawler certainly helps.
I always thought it was funny that X3 had the better story hook (what if you could "cure" mutations and what would the implications of that be?) but poor execution whereas X2 had a worse story hook (let's go to Canada!) but much stronger execution.

I suspect hes made some friends at Fox. Like Lauren Shuler Donner has produced all of his X-Men movies.
Every X-Men film he's been involved with have been critically and commercially successful. It's not a mystery.
