sorry if this was posted before but it made me laugh

Ridiculous how bad he looks.

The two best displays of power ever in comic book movies, can't believe they're gonna be in the same movie

Nightcrawler in the White House, the Mansion Assault from Stryker's men, Wolverine vs Deathstrike, Quicksilver, the X-Men team ups against Sentinels in Days of Future Past...

When Singer brings the action, he's head and shoulders above other comic-book films.

Seeing those bad-ass team-ups in DOFP made me grin like a lunatic. Colossus leaping through Blink portals and crushing a Sentinels skull is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a film.

Yeah Singer directs great action sequences, yet people say he doesn't do action. Maybe it was the relatively pacifist Superman Returns.

What's funny is that Superman Returns' plane scene is pretty much unrivaled in terms of action choreography. It's so incredibly well-shot and constructed that he hasn't topped the sequence since.

Does Jack the Giant Slayer have good action? I never gave it a chance, what with everyone saying it's trash.

Here is the Apocalypse that we need
LINK

that's far worse tbh. a direct translation really would not work on film. people don't realize that yeah it's cool at a convention (because 'wow that guy put so much work into his suit') but it would look even goofier than the apocalypse they went with in the film.

In the (incredibly mediocre) Deadpool game, Gambit clones are enemies and all they say is 'Mon ami'. Over and over and over again.

never did get around to playing that game, but is that really all they say? if so that's pretty funny.

i truly don't understand how this terrible series hasn't seen a reboot yet

Same reason the Resident Evil movies haven't. :P

Though to be fair X-men only has two bad movies out of seven. Which when I say that out loud it's fucking mental that there has been 7 films for this franchise. Can't believe I've been watching X-men movies since I was ten.

Maybe you sould source something other in the 90's X-men cartoon when talking about Scott Summers.

Seriously! Cyclops is hands down, the best leaders, and one the the best tacticians. In the marvel universe. He's 12 times a better characters then wolverine will ever be.

yeah pretty much.
ever since he melded temporarily with apocalypse in the late 90's, his character to a very interesting turn.

i mean, i really despised him during schism and the aftermath of AvX (for personal reasons), but he was very well written and an engaging character to read.
magneto wishes he could be the leader cyclops was -and he is most def a well know tactical genius in the marvel universe.
the movies have never done him justice. ever. no great action scenes, no character growth; just a whiny 'obstacle' for wolverine and his jean grey puppy love. what a waste.

on topic though. from the pics we've seen, Ivan ooze looks better than apocalypse.
also, i can't believe magneto will be a horseman. what.
i was hoping they'd take some massive cues from the AoA saga, and maybe have xavier taken prisoner for half the movie, then have magneto leading the x-men in his place; especially in their battles with the horsemen…. then for that final battle between magneto & apocalypse; let that play out the same way it did in the AoA finale. that would be amazing.

There's a great issue of Uncanny X-Men where Sinister creates Gambit clone suicide bombers who charge a giant version of Colossus while saying 'mon cher' over and over again. It's topped by the exploding Sinister cows bit, but damn...

X2 is fantastic i re watched that shit constantly when it came out. Everything Wolverine is so good in that film it makes me forget that I don't really like the character. I should buy it on blu ray at some point. I have no qualms saying it's one of the best comic book movies to date.

lol that would look worse.

I was sympathetic to people who posted the edit of the EW pic but just posting random cosplay that looks like something out of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is hilarious. I'd prefer comic accuracy to look good while being accurate.

The clones in the game pretty much match that description, except there's no Colossus.

I'm one of the few who liked X3 (though it is the weakest of the series easily) and have enjoyed the whole film series. Though I haven't watched Origins and Wolverine yet. (I did get them recently with the Adamantium collection which I bought since I was also buying the Rogue cut of DofP which pretty much gives me the whole collection lol)

I also really enjoyed the Rogue cut of DotP (though I do understand why they cut some of this stuff).

I'm hyped for Apocalypse now. So long to wait. :(
