It delivers on the dramatic story and emotion of the last two movies. It feels like the culmination of the four main characters really McAvoy, Fassbender, Nic Hoult, and Jen. And its a bigger movie in both physical scale and I would say emotional stakes too because it is the culmination of this mini trilogy of stories.
Went from Wolverine and the X-Men to Mystique and the Boys ft. X-Men![]()
Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-Men: Apocalypse, opening in theaters everywhere May 27, 2016. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
Mystique leading the X-Men with the help of Professor X? Shouldn't it at least be Professor X leading the X-Men with the help of Mystique? :/
Apparently this is the film synopsis:

She might be the leader of the group, just like Cyclops was the leader of X-Men in 90s.
They lucked out by getting a box office draw under contract before she exploded in popularity and now they are intent to milk that for all it's worth.Apparently this is the film synopsis:

The cuts a little long right now, but I think its going to be a longer X-Men movie. The X-Men movies I usually I keep under two hours, but this one I may actually let be a longer movie because its sort of a wrap-up of six movies. Its kind of a wrap up of X-Men 1, 2, 3, First Class, Days of Future Past, and theres even an homage at the end, a scene. Its going to get spoiled because they decided to use it in the trailer which comes out in like six months, but its a really cool trailer. But its kind of a wrap up of six movies. So, it might run a little bit long.
http://variety.com/2015/film/awards/bryan-singer-the-usual-suspects-20th-anniversary-1201615135/"It cuts a little long right now," said Singer of the status of X-Men: Apocalypse at the San Pedro International Film Festival, where he was discussing The Usual Suspect's 20th anniversary. "I think it's gonna be a longer X-Men movie. The X-Men movies, I usually I keep under two hours, but this one I may actually let be a longer movie because it's sort of a wrap-up of six movies. There's even an homage at the end. There's a scene - it's gonna get spoiled because that decided to use it in the trailer which comes out, like six months, but it's a really cool trailer - but the [homage] is kind of a wrap up of six movies. So, it might run a little bit long, but it's not boring."
Despite having a longer run-time, Bryan Singer reassured that X-Men: Apocalypse certainly won't be boring. "There's new characters, young characters, rekindled romances like with [Charles] Xavier and Moira MacTaggert played by Rose Byrne who is amazing," he said, before teasing a moment during filming that left him in tears. "Michael Fassbender did something so wonderful in this movie... We're at the end of the scene, and he asked me not to call cut and when the scene was over, he continued and did something that made me cry in the tent; I've never done that before. The head of my company grabbed a Kleenex. Simon Kinberg, the writer who has no emotions at all, actually became emotional. It was so beautiful, I've never seen an actor do this for me and [Fassbender] just took the scene to a whole 'nother level. It's a heartbreaking scene, not a typical comic book movie scene at all, so let's hope it makes the cut. But after he did it, I went up to him, hugged him and said 'Thank you, Michael, for that gift. Now I need you to do it again.' And he did it, and [frick]ing rocked it again... with full emotion."
Singer continued offering praise for Michael Fassbender as well as two other Apcalypse actors. "This guy's amazing, he can go from the most emotionally devastating moment to breakdancing to 'Blurred Lines' in between takes. He, James McAvoy, and my villain Oscar Issac are among the three greatest living actors in cinema, in their age category by far. They will not be lauded, or rewarded, because they're in an X-Men movie and comic book movies just don't get that kind of shit. But they deliver some extraordinary performances particularly in X-Men: Apocalypse. The movie is very emotional. I love the pathos of the characters and their relationships"
I love Mystique so I'm good with that.Went from Wolverine and the X-Men to Mystique and the Boys ft. X-Men![]()
I don't understand. Why are they calling her Raven? Didn't she drop that lame ass name? And I don't think I like the idea of Mystique working with beta X. One of my favourite things about DoFP was how she was like a third faction separate from Magneto and X. Obviously, we know she leans Magneto (can't blame her) but I would have liked to see getting shit done on her own for another movie.Apparently this is the film synopsis:

You never watched the animated series? I haven't read a single X-Men comic either, but in his arc they stated he's the first mutant.I love Mystique so I'm good with that.

Also that description of Apocalypse has me so hyped. I don't read the comics so the idea of having the world's first mutant in this movie is something that I'd never thought of. I can't wait to see the trailer when I go to watch Civil War.
Yeah.

X-Men: Apocalypse wrapped filming back in August, but now the blockbuster is headed for some reshoots. ComicBook reports that reshoots will happen back in January, which isnt really a big deal. Reshoots are standard for any major blockbuster production, and unless theyre extensive, theyre factored into the budget and schedule.
What makes these reshoots interesting is a report from Le Journal de Montréal that says it seems that Hugh Jackman will be on hand for the reshoots. The extent of Jackmans involvement in Apocalypse has always been a little unclear.

Need that Wolverine starpower
Which is weird, because one of the reasons why I like DoFP is because it features less Wolverine.
Apoc ain't the first mutant tho, but I guess it's good enough for the movie
Fuck Logan, give me Cable.
Fuck FOX for totally ignoring the cast they could have for these movies.
I'm genuinely baffled at the fact that Cable isn't in it. Apocalypse is such a huge part of Cables history that its more confusing that hes not in it. It would have been a great way to lead into an X-force film. We've already had Warpath and Sunspot.
X2 and DOFP are better than anything Marvel has has produced.
Nightcrawler is a blue MJ.
