The RTM ISO is about, but the ESD that you could grab from MS's site is blocked now.

EDIT: N version builds still aren't up on Windows Update yet. I'm thinking they won't be at launch with the phased approach.
So I don't even know how to explain this... but I'm having really annoying issues with my Nvidia driver 353.30. I'll install it and everything will be fine, but then the driver will seem to "deactivate" itself. I'm unable to open any Nvidia related software, and my games' framerate will tank below 10fps. A reinstall of the driver will make everything work again, however this cycle has happened a few times now!
Which card? I know some are reporting instability on the 400 series.

There definitely won't be an ISO ready to download? That seems a little weird. I guess someone will put a guide up on how to decrypt it.
Edit: Saw it was posted, seems easily done.
It's likely that they'll do something similar to the media creation for Windows 8 and 8.1 where you can get an ISO with a key. The generic ones might not work though (like 8.1) and the upgrade doesn't like my 8 or 8.1 keys, It only works when inserting the disc into a PC where it can pick up the key.

Yeah I got that too. God damn this wait. I finally get an SSD and its right before all this stuff. Hope I get it by the weekend. Set Saturday aside for the upgrade then clean install. Assuming they post the ISO on Wednesday too.
Yeah, this has been mentioned on tech sites for a week, but at least they confirm it themselves. Just hope the Pro N ESDs get leaked.

So, I extracted the key from the bios

it seems that using this bootable USB my Bios key will work (not sure if they will ask me or just grab it automatically). Last time I tried i used the ISO from MSDN, which doesn't work. So now I hope everything will be fine.
Right now I have three partitions, but I will just erase everything and do a complete clean install of Win 8.1, then just update to Win 10.

You can create an ISO from the ESD files microsoft released for 10240 or use the leaked RTM ISOs. You just have to make sure you are using an unmodified file, risk of people inserting things into ISOs.
If you mount the ISO to a USB drive and then run it from your activated version of windows 7 or 8 you can do an upgrade preserving your files, apps, and settings.
It will automatically activate once it is installed, is connected to the internet, and has run some checks.

There will be a manual installer available.
You'll just go to the relevant MS page, download it, and it will do the work.
If you have a legit install, you'll have your license converted to Windows 10. Expect to have to sign in to a Microsoft account though.

I believe so. I have Windows 7 Ultimate, it says "Windows is activated".
There will be no manual upgrade on the 29th, at least from MS's servers. They're rolling it out, you need to do it through the OS to reserve

Yeah, that computer is just flagged as an upgrade in the MS account. you can do as many as you like.

They show up like this:
You can attempt the following to try and force GWX to come up for you.
1. Create a file named "ReserveWin10.cmd" with Notepad, and copy/paste the following into it exactly as is:
2. Make sure the extension is "cmd", not "txt", then open an elevated command prompt window and execute "ReserveWin10.cmd" from the folder where it's located. Wait until the script has run its course, and it should hopefully work.

No one knows definitely if continued use of Windows 7 keys is possible or if Microsoft marks them as disabled.
If you need to do a windows 10 reinstall on a machine which has had windows 10 activated on it but can't boot for some reason, you can do a clean install and skip the CD key step.
Your windows 7 key won't be of any use in a Windows 10 install.
Windows 10 will then recognise the PC and activate automatically once it is connected to the internet.
Are you running a retail/OEM version? If so you'll need to run through Windows update. That gives you the upgrade app. If you get a WU error, post the error.
If it's not a retail/OEM version of Windows, you're out of luck. Other versions of Win 7/8 aren't eligible.
Reinstall Windows 7 32-bit with a same version 64-bit using the same key, then update to Windows 10 64-bit.
That's what I did with Windows 7 Home on my mum's laptop.

I have 'Windows 8.1 with Bing". You scared me for a second there, I should still be getting the update icon I just haven't yet I guess. To be fair I JUST activated my tablet yesterday.
In your case you might need to run through WU just to get the update app.
It is a regular WU, just like any other patch.
