Awesome!! I can't wait to see more of this game! They have been too quiet!

Also, I think scalebound could either be a major success, or a huge disappoint with the way they are hyping it up.

The Hype is real, i'll finally see Scalebound and Crackdown for the first time, plus new Quantum Awesome Break demo, and then playable demo for Halo 5 and Tomb Raider(even if i think will be the same seen at E3). But i also expect some new IP to be announced, Microsoft really takes care about this year Gamescom, cause they have to do better in Europe, lot better

I'm sure Scalebound will review great, just like Quantum Break... Whether they sell good or not is another matter.

There's going to be new IP's, they said as much at the end of their E3 conference.

Interested in Scalebound, but I'm hoping it's more than just another character-action game.

"Just another character action game."

It's hardly the most prolific genre in gaming. I much rather have that than say another open world game, especially since action is Platinum's raison d'etre.

I hope it's an utter balls to the walls action spectacle that mixes DMC and Panzer Dragoon. A man can dream.

As for QB, I adore the concept and presentation, but felt the encounter design was too one note last year. Make it more like the UC4 PSX demo with time-powers and it's day one for me.

If I can't jump off a cliff and have a Dragon catch me mid-air. This game is a failure

It isn't reviews that I am worried about. Platinum is known for polished gameplay.

What I want to know is if it is actually a kind of game I will be interested in, and we still just don't know what type of game it will be!

I personally am hoping for something that is open world with a focus on boss fights....kinda like the legend of Zelda with big pet dragons....if that makes any sense at all..

I'm excited for qb, SB, CD, and fm6, but dying to see more halo 5. 343, bring it!

Do we really need to see more H5? I mean, it's a pretty known quantity at this point based on the beta and game play at shows. It's Crackdown time.

He'll yes we do. I want to see this big open world halo sandbox stuff that 343i has been hyping up in their development blog and videos.

Hopefully new MP stuff for H5, not just campaign. Maybe the Fathom remix map and first gameplay of Raid on Apex 7 or whatever its called.

Hoping for some teases this week.

Have they said there will be new game announcements? Haven't followed super closely as to what they've said will be there other than the big 3 and 2015's games.

Yeah, Microsoft has indicated they saved announcements for their gamescom conference.

Golden opportunity for MS to fund a Kojima game. If they miss out then their third party relations team needa to go. They've dropped the ball this gen.

I never thought I'd be THIS excited for a Microsoft conference!
The last time they show QB it looked great, I'm anxious to see more.. And Scalebound, ah, Scalebound... It is going to be glorious.

I don't think any of that means what you think it means. I could be totally off but I think they just meant the scale of things is bigger to the point where options to tackle missions have grown.

Edit: I could just be projecting what I think of when I read or hear "open world" and you might be on the same page as the above. But I think the traditional open world is far from what's in H5. I expect more paths and vertical options, that's it.

We have already seen the big open world sandbox stuff with warzone...not a big stretch to imagine that it will be there for the campaign as well...Anyways, I hope that they keep a lid on the rest of the campaign until launch, and instead, show forge, and have the tweaked arena MP playable on the floor with some new maps.

Edit: and as post above said, the "big, open world" probably just means bigger levels with more paths, bigger set pieces, and hopefully some satisfying vehicle gameplay sections.
I doubt it will be a drastic departure from the traditional Halo formula...

Crackdown has the potential to be the biggest game-specific news out of Gamescom. The idea of the entire city being destructible (with the cloud helping with the physics part of it) is incredible. The only problem is the potential negative that you'll have to be online to play Crackdown (since the game itself is utilizing the cloud, I assume this required online connection will be the case) so the game is really going to have to prove why online is necessary.

Scalebound is definitely more of an X-factor since not much is known, but the developers behind it make some really great stuff. It could be Platinum's real, first AAA budgeted game (along with the marketing power that comes with that kind of thing).

I started out REALLY excited for Quantum Break, but as more was shown my excitement has dwindled. It would be awesome if QB had a spectacular showing that rekindled a lot of my initial excitement. It is a Remedy game, so I think it almost has to be good, but I want to see what makes it different (and the gameplay demos haven't really done that for me). I wonder if we'll end up seeing the TV sections of QB demoed to show how that's going to change the actual game side of it?

As far as Halo 5, I just want to see a Blue Team demo (maybe the exact place that Osiris was at, but during Blue Team's part in it?). Please, 343, that's all I want. Also, maybe the reveal of Forge, and some multiplayer. =P

And possibly the return of skulls out in the maps themselves? With all this talk about the openness of the maps themselves (as far as there being a lot of places players can go and get to within the map), I think it makes sense for 343 to make skulls a collectable again.

i honestly can't see kojima involved with a game not on a sony platform. if not sony then he either goes with bethesda or square enix if he wants to make games for all platforms, maybe EA but not sure if he fits into their ecosystem. Maybbbeeee Ubisoft but I just can't see him with a french publisher either lol.

If it was any other developer, the amount of time spent on QB would normally have me expecting a critical disappointment. I didn't think it looked that hot last time I saw it, but I'm eager for another look.

Scalebound will live or die on the ability to make riding dragons fun. I expect platinum will nail it.

May have to buy an Xbone after all if they keep this up. Hoping for another fire sale this holiday. Any new IP is almost guaranteed to be CG trailer bullshit, though.

I have a feeling Crackdown either way won't live up to the cloud hype for good or bad. Also, is the game online only mandated do we know?

I would expect so but they've not said officially.

Cloudgine website mentions "open world MMO" under job listings, or did anyway not checked recently

We'll see. Either way, this is supposedly going to be the game that will showcase its potential using the "cloud" which is why I feel like it's going to be an online required game. It better impress or it's got an uphill battle.

Fuck I CANNOT WAIT!!! Really really missed not seeing those 3 at E3 and hopefully they just come out with a bang with lots of videos and screens! Really really wanna see Crackdown/Scalebound since they haven't shown anything but those first trailers for it. Also I hope for some surprises from Microsoft.............KI: Season 3 please damnit!

A friend of mine made it.

It was made for pre-E3, then they announced half the games in it wouldn't be there :P So it was more relevant for Gamescom

Well, if you can, get your friend one of these for me will you?

Final Gamescom content review was today and things are becoming final. Lot's of nostalgia for me with the Crackdown gameplay.
