Did you just use ' instead of "? Heh.
Wait, is that actually the correct use of single apostrophes?

He may be British or Australian but in American English single quotation marks are generally used for quotes within quotes unless used in a novel where it is the writers preference. So..... Maybe?

did this thread just get derailed over twitter punctuation?

Well, a mod also brought it up in the crackdown thread so...

Back on topic. How on earth did I miss this?

Have their been any announcements about how much of Quatum Break there is going to be at the show? Hoping for a nice, easily ignorable, trailer or demo. Media blackout is still going strong!

Nothing official but I have a feeling that the only game that will get more time than Quantum Break is Tomb Raider.

Well shoot. Guess I'll have to be ready to tune out for a bit.

Just drink lots of alcohol to the point where you're about to pass out, watch it in that state, then go to sleep. When you wake up, you won't remember a thing.

Is anyone going to do a Gamescom Xbox thread?

Do we think they took the feedback on Quantum Break combat and made changes? So underwhelming last time. The puzzles were the only interesting thing I saw.

There will probably be a thread for the live show right?

I fully expect to see Twisted Pixel's new game announced. It's been almost two years since Lococycle and they've been teasing it a bit.

Honestly, they could announce nothing new and only show debut footage of Crackdown and Scalebound along with trailers of their existing line-up and it would be a solid show!

I asked the head of Twisted Pixel about that...

Steverulez: @twisted_pixel @mrwilford Hey guys… whats going down? Planning a trip to Europe anytime soon?

mrwilford: @Steverulez Hey Steve! Pretty busy on something new, can hopefully share more soon. =)

Wasn't sure how to take it tbh, doesn't sound like Gamescom.

I tweeted Phil and them asking if we would see their new game at Gamescom or soon. Hopefully he will respond. I'm also interested in Press Play.

Press Play has just been on holiday for two weeks, wouldn't expect them personally, I think they're building something bigger.

Unless they have a new Max game hidden away somewhere

Based on that tweet, it doesn't sound like Gamescom specifically but, then again, if Twisted Pixel's IP was one of the surprise new game announcements at the presser, then I wouldn't expect him to even hint at it.

I must see how they update crackdown, i hope they don't lose the personality in the enemies and go for the zombie horde route like no one ever wanted.

Also on board for laying eyes on scalebound!

I know they aren't but I wish Press Play would develop something from Rare's catalog of IPs :(

I wish Press Play was a bigger studio. They have made two of the best games on XB1 so far: Max Curse of Brotherhood and Kalimba. They're both puzzle games but they are both wildly, astronomically different. Max is a slow-paced game with puzzles requiring you to stop and think, with light platforming elements, and Kalimba is a hardcore twitch-platformer with light puzzle elements.

A large part of why Press Play is great is the size.

It's such a wonderful place to visit since it's essentially a remodelled five room apartment, everyone sitting together in the different rooms allows for a really unique vibe and great collaboration.

Being bigger would at the end force them to split into smaller groups and leave behind the close knit group environment they have now. Kalimba happened because of that culture, and they value that a lot.

Anyone want to speculate what these announcements will be?

I say MS announces a partnership with Kojima on a new project with MS studios helping him develop it. LOL, yeah it'll never happen i know.....

I think they'll be 3-4 total announcements we don't know about. Then the xbox daily might contain a couple of them.

Kojima won't be talking publicly about his future until after his contract with Konami is ended in December.

In terms of the show I would be surprised if they did a bunch of never before seen announcements. Seems like this will be a show to demo actual products coming in the coming year and giving them enough time to breath and be more then 6 minutes of vertical slice.

I think longer demos and no surprises.

Is that new artwork for Scalebound? I've never seen the bow before.

Scalebound: next week in gaming magazi- I mean at Gamescom!

EDIT - No, that isn't new Scalebound artwork, I'm apparently just very unobservant :P

Too soon for Kojima.

Also, Battletoads.

Crackdown is the last possible saving grace for my Xbone

If it doesnt cut it, ill be selling my Xbone, its just collecting dust now, just tried to play MCC, couldn't even get into a match........pathetic

Scalebound is the one I'm most excited about. I hope we see 8 - 10 minutes uninterrupted gameplay. I'm really curious to know why Kamiya tweeted negatively about Microsoft?
