So why did we ever bring up Gai in the first place? He's just some guy, which fits his boring design.

I still don't see why Gai was brought up when there's no character named Gai and everything is pronounced Guy lol. Like why did we bring up the less phonetically intuitive nonexistent alternate spelling?

Guy and Gai have the same pronunciation. They're homophones. Gai isn't pronounced "Gay"
Gai is the literal translation. Street Fighter has it as spelled "guy" so it doesn't confuse english speakers.

A running V-skill makes the most sense, but Ken took that.... So that makes me hesitant that Guy will make it. They could make his V-skill his Bushin Senpuu Kyaku, sorta like how Maki's "reversal" from final fight is 2K+2Ps in CvS2.. Don't want to lose health doing it though...

Oh yea forgot about Sonys thing , the one where SF5 was revealed right? Might be something big like a Story mode trailer or something. NYCC may or may not have , isn't it like smaller than SDCC?

Ooh, I didn't realise there were still so many events 
I suspect the reveals are ptetty much all scheduled in advance so I doubt the progress of the betas is likely to change when they drop a teaser, though it might alter what beta stages we can play various characters in

I think it's whatever Team Japan sends to Team USA. I think these builds take a while to make as is (aka strip out what currently is developed, and make it playable).....

Hopefully we'll get to try out Ken in either Phase 2 or Phase 3.
In a way it could affect roster inclusion, as in we might not get Karin in the starting roster because Sakura is not there.
I can see 4-characters themed packs, but not something as silly as a shoto pack. Maybe a Final Fight pack (3 returning and Haggar?), a Shadaloo pack (who would replace Bison though?), and a SF1 pack.

Indeed, in Kens art it looks like he's standing in front of a nyc stage as well.

If the revealed 6 were the only ones available in all the beta phases I'd just wait until retail and not bother entering beta at all. Needless to say, I've not made any effort to try and get in the betas yet and at least for the first phase it doesn't look like I've missed much
Indeed: let's hope we'll see a cool New York stage at some point, like Alex' alley or Sean's Christmas adorned street with sunset in SFIII New Generation. (I never liked Alex' rooftop stage or Ken and Alex' subway stage as much as those older two, but I wouldn't mind a new version of them either.)

It would be Claw, Boxer... Decapre and Seth? Iunno... I don't really consider Sagat as a member of Shadaloo considering he was only briefly a member at the end of Alpha 2/beginning of Alpha 3
I would be mad hype for a SF1 pack. Especially if they revived the barely used characters (Joe, Retsu, Eagle, Lee, Geki, Mike) and let the other guys rest (Gen, Adon, Sagat). Birdie, Ryu & Ken are already in. It would actually be cool if it was all of them in a pack (except the 3 already in).

There's a chance but I don't expect any of them. I'd like a revised Vega, though.
It's only a bit smaller than SDCC; it's still pretty large, IIRC. Plus, as people have said, Capcom revealed characters for both MvC and SFxT there, and they might try to reveal Alex there because he's from New York.
I mean, he's at a point where they feel comfortable letting people play as him, since he was in the SDCC Demo. I can totally see him being in the next Beta. Unfortunately, while I wanted to figure out what was new with Ken, the guy I was up against just wanted to fight. I can't give any good impressions about Ken
I know we don't know what the song for this possible NYC stage'll be like, but I can think of a remix that'd get me pretty jazzed.

Claw has been mostly the same throughout the years, yeah. What new could they do with him, though? He's been my main since CE, so I'd be giddy if he returns, but I'm not holding my breath.

Whatever they do I'd be extatic if they manage to make him somewhat "competitve" if he ever shows up in V. I like him a lot but playing him in IV was not easy nor fun for me :/

Well it's a given that his moves will hit harder and deal more dmg. Maybe some new properties on his existing specials that would make him as menacing as he was before. I don't think adding moves or specials would do him good, otherwise he'll turn into a weird Rolento on Red Bull with extended moves.

I think they could do some cool stuff with Balrog in this game. Seems like he would fit the more up close and personal feel of this street fighter.
