Ah true, didnt think about that....well even then I can imagine them releasing the sprite version on phones instead.

I think it would be neat if there was some sort of interactivity between the 2 versions.
Something like Zelda Oracle Of Seasons/Ages, where upon beating either game, you receive a password that you can then enter into the other game.
It could give a cool little bonus (cosmetic equipment or something like that) for those of us who are planning on double dipping.

While Im not really on board with all of these games its looking like this gen will be a repeat of PS2 era

While I did admittedly say Wii U instead of NX, it's fairly apparent what I meant to say considering what I said afterward.
I'm not a fan but I'm also not a fan of changing things because a small segment of the internet didn't like it.

Dragon Quest games in that list is a big reason why we are excited. Stop being so anal, the entire thread is not a list sheesh. Let people have some fun, let it become a problem before you start policing threads.
We can only hope.
Some of that stuff is definitely day one like DQ11, FF15, KH3, TLG, etc...but I do hope Japanese devs see strong sales against from not only there home country, but western audiences as well. If it doesn't work, we can't say they didn't try. Now all we need is Capcom to step up with some next-gen RE/DMC/DD/Maximo!

Out of the clear announced titles on this list, I think there's only 2 games that I'm not getting.

I wonder how upset Nintendo was as they watched the conference.
I'm probably really late on this but I can't see Nintendo being upset at a flagship 3rd party title being announced for their next generation Nintendo console. I'm sure Nintendo approved of them announcing it.

Just realized this might be the first confirmation of UE4 support for NX. Which is a fantastic thing of course!
Really loving the PS4 art style, I love me some DQ art.
I'd rather have a Grandia IV, Shadow Hearts IV, or Dark Cloud 3

This makes me sad for what could have been, though I don't think that was going to happen either way.

Even despite Horii's previous comments I knew it was coming to the 3DS. It just makes too much sense.
PlayStation fans are happy, and Nintendo fans are super duper happy.
Now we can all revel in the game instead of threads of fighting. Dragon Quest fans United is a beautiful thing.
Dat 3DS version is pure magic. Incredible use of the two screen display, I tell you what.

I have a feeling that between helms (or who knows, a freaking barber shop), and high tension, we'll get used to Trunks hair.
I personally think the protag is indeed the Dragon Lord himself from DQ1 (& 3). They share the same outfit color. I'm expecting this to be like SW episodes 1-3.
I also think since logo is extremely similar to OG DQ1, (just the Dragon figure is reversed). SE will wrap-up the series once.

Well it's not they like they announced it at the same time as the other versions. It was said after everything else. It didn't come across as a mistake. Their backtracking kinda reeks of a wink wink nudge nudge situation if you ask me.
We got Suikoden Tierkes which is as close as Suikoden VI as we'll ever get
I was shocked that they did 2D and 3D at the same time on two different screens. Totally unique and unexpected. You can play it however you like.

I just know I will play it both ways. Perhaps switch off each dungeon.
It's seriously the best use of the dual screen set up I've ever seen.
Now I wish they would re-release the entire series on the 3DS with 8-bit graphics on the lower screen and the new graphics on top.

I can see a DC3 over Suikoden. The ideas that could come from a more modern DC are more exciting to think about than what could come from a Suikoden.
On this note I would rather have a Breath of Fire, Vagrant Story, or Parasite Eve.

I wish Suikoden 6 will take place in Harmonia or Zelant Kingdom + Dukedom of Gaien.

I just love how a series everyone expects to be "too old school" can still come up with surprises such as the 3DS version with its dual aesthetics. At least that's my first impression.
After giving it more thought, I wonder it would be better to the style switch on the fly (with a button press?) rather than both being displayed simultaneously.
I'm open to any gameplay impact. Assuming I didn't miss anything from the announcement.

Hopefully there will be good space between heavy hitters like FFXV, FFVIIR, KHIII, DQXI, etc. It's great that jRPG is coming back but I don't want the market to be so saturated that people get burnt out with the genre. I want all of the to do well.
