I'm curious to see if Microsoft will mention the power of the cloud at all during gamescon. It was touted as a massive feature but has only been used in subtle ways. Is crackdown still supposed to be a hugely ambitious game that is only possible through the cloud or will it also only use it in subtle ways?
They haven't seriously talked about leveraging cloud services in a while. They realized they were getting blasted for it so they've backed off talking about it.
Crackdown is supposed to be a cloud based game though so whatever that means we'll hopefully see on Tuesday

Phil Spencer said they would not be talking about it again until they had something real to show. So I suppose we might hear about it some with Crackdown if they feel it is worth pointing out.
Yeah I don't care how many xbox one are sold, I just want games. And I don't regret buying xbone at all, especially with this lineup.

I guess we'll see if anyone volunteers, assuming there is need of one. I always thought there would probably be one when the time came just like there was for E3 since there was an E3 hype thread before the actual conferences as well (and I think of this thread as more of a hype thread).
I don't really either, but it's hard to see what kind of potential it actually has without knowing more. I think Crackdown has more of a chance to be a pillar since it has the "shooter" aspect going for it -- and shooters tend to get that kind of market. Sea of Thieves would have to be pretty amazing to have universal appeal aside from what Rare games (even at their best) would bring.

My dream announcement* is always going to be a new Crimson Skies, but MS seems to be more about licensing out FASA IPs rather than developing them in-house, so it probably wouldn't be at the conference regardless.

tbh, aside from the increased poly count and fumeFX quality smoke. i'm expecting it to look a lot like the trailer. for CGi it wasn't that much of a pipedream. and with the likes of batman and infamous looking gorgeous. something with such stylised art should look just as good as that trailer.

Man that game was such mindless fun... I would love to see it reborn... I wish all of MS' great racing franchises could coexist in perfect harmony, but I can see why they wouldn't want to publish so many racing titles on one console... Now that they appear to be opening up to the PC market, there's no longer any risk of over crowding... They really should go for it!
They did last year. We already have the forza 6 custom console and the new gears of war standard bundle. I'm gonna guess that they announce
- Fifa 16 bundle for EU. 1TB & EA access
- Custom halo 5 console bundle. 1Tb $399. Limited
- Tomb raider bundle. Definitive & Rise. 500gb $349
- Standard halo 5 bundle $349
I'm guessing that the tomb raider bundle will be like the AC bundle from last year. So come holiday time you'll be able to choose from tomb raider it s halo bundle

I don't see them having a limited Fallout 4 bundle especially with Rise coming out on the same day. If anything Rise gets a bundle with TR Definitive Edition. They won't release a Fallout 4 console bundle on the same day.
Yeah I revised that to a $349 standard halo bundle.
I think $299 after they announce the temp drop like last year. But that didn't happen till October

I think a Fallout 4 bundle is actually a reasonable prediction, Microsoft dont have a lot of marketing deals over the holiday, Fallout will be huge and they have marketing for it but it will be a special edition, like a white one or something.

Idk, I think they really have to announce a price drop for main land Europe, but I fear that they will only drop it by 50 euros when it needs to be down to 299 there

I think they will eventually but for this holiday they should try and have the lowest priced console be the most available. So I think it's easier and you lose less money when have a $299 tomb raider 500gb bundle than a 1tb bundle

Isn't it 349 pretty much everywhere already anyway? I checked Estonian prices and the basic 500GB model is 349, Ass Creed and Sunset Overdrive bundles 379. Online-only retailer prices go as low as 325 for the basic model.
The price difference between 500gb & 1tb hard drives isn't that much, they would lose more money with 500gb at $299 than 1tb at $349.
That would be amazing but I don't know if MS will go for it, it'd cost them quite a lot unless they keep the consoles $399 and don't have a holiday discount and then if Sony cuts the price of PS4 MS will be fucked and will be eating at an even larger loss since they will be forced to do the same.
I don't see TR being bundled without DE, so if that was to happen It'd be TRDE+Rise+FO3 BC+FO4 I would think. Which is actually a very good bundle and wouldn't cost them much to add DE aswell, but as I said above it'll put them in a tight spot incase they're forced to have a price drop.

Any word on this new dashboard? I cant take this one anymore.
Still end 2015. But it will not release in november and december i think, MS always stops arround that time with updates so they dont break anything for all the new users. So maybe a october release? Really hope Spencer says next week. "All preview members can try it now" But will see haha.

I dont know if i could see MS going for a Fallout 4 bundle. Fallout 4 and Tomb Raider release on the same day so MS would do a huge disservice to TR if they did that. However MS has lead marketing for FO4 and TR is holiday exclusive, so that week those release will be good for the sales of Xbox one.
Well, we have been getting a lot of small behind the scene updates lately. The same thing happened just before BC, so I can see that happening.
