It's racism; clear cut racism. It's not angry hateful racism, but he's going out of his way to be racist in that audio.

Not to mention he's a fucking grade A moron with how he talks. How does this bumbling racist idiot "give you feels"? Even his son sounds annoyed at what he's saying.. Nick goes out of his way to remark that whatever school they are talking about is mixed race and that he gets along with everyone.. meanwhile Hulk is overly concerned about black people.
 
The audio of that was just as cringeworthy as I expected. What a piece of shit. Fuck Hogan, both of em.

Man, this doesn't seem like that of a big deal to me. Maybe at least 1 warning or something. He said a word that implies racism, so terrible and inhumane.

Is he saying not to be black because he hates them with such a passion? Or is he saying not to be black because we as a society have obviously not moved beyond racism. Have cops killing unarmed blacks all over the place. Have a system that is designed to keep them down and imprisoned over stupid shit.

Maybe he sees all the shit going on in our society regarding the treatment of blacks (including him not wanting his daughter fucking one) and just doesn't want to his son or himself to go through those inequities and injustice (including his own intolerances).

Or maybe I should just turn in my Hulkamania card and join in on kicking the dude while he's down.

It's possible he meant something non-racist by not wanting to be a black guy, and pointlessly asking his son about how many black people attend whatever school they are discussing...

But considering he's a racist..that would be a strange assumption.

I didn't get that part so I must have misunderstood what he said. If that is what he was saying its despicable.

I think I was only hearing a father trying to relate to his son. The blizzack and other nonsense I thought was just a cringe part of that.

In this conversation he's about as racist as (maybe a little more than) my parents. Like, that kind of thing where they're clearly racist, but it's not malicious, just the kind of thing where you feel embarrassed for them, like guys...seriously...just stop. From the reaciton of the son to a lot of it, it's clear he's embarrassed by it too. It's an old people thing.
 
After listening more carefully to the audio, which I didn't before obviously, it's really racist and abhorrent. I just heard the first part about him being with his son forever and glossed over the next not understanding what he was getting at. And that coded message with the stupid blizz nonsense to his son was a disgusting one.

I don't know why I didn't catch it the first time. I think part of me grew up with this guy. Every saturday morning with Hulk doing promos and Vince and Jessie the Body doing commentary. And Saturday Night's Main Event. I even liked his reality show. I guess I wanted to make excuses when there is none to make. He's a racist :(

Austin's neck fucked his run up. Right when he was blowing up his neck got broke he basically took 3 months then went straight back on the road.

Guess his thinking was if he took proper time and operations etc his moment would pass, i think that was the reasoning he used on a podcast a while back. Basically yeah that shortened my career hugely but I might never have made the money that meant I could walk away otherwise.

Edit Still wished we got one more match from him, but I feel like the passing the baton to rocky was a kinda cool way to do it too. Rock telling him he loved him and leaving the ring for Austin to soak up the crowd once more.
 
Hogan transcended the business to a degree that Austin never did. Austin's popular, make no mistake - but almost ALL of his popularity is because he's a wrestler. People know him as that. Hulk had his fingers and toes in a bunch of different pies. Web hosting, cartoons, pasta...it's insane.
