So, Drake is being accused of using ghost writers. Fuckery inside.

I'm still trying to understand why he went there about the all star game. Drake doesn't need Meek's chain to be good in NOLA.

Even if Drake was always going to win, which I still very much doubt, am I supposed to feel sorry for him? He started this shit. He should have finished it. Period. At the very least, Meek could have gone much harder than he did; Drake's popularity didn't make Meek drop a shitty diss.

And Meek of all people should know that popularity has an effect on the perceived victim, because when your man Cassidy dropped a crucial 10 minute diss track that Meek didn't respond to in any manner except Twitter, people still gave Meek the W, simply because he was more popular.

So why the fuck should I give sympathy to Meek when

1. He got himself into it
2. He had terrible responses to everything, regardless of Drake's popularity
3. He should have known the Twitter machine from the get-go since he reaped its positive benefits firsthand in a previous diss?

Why should you give sympathy to Meek? Nah, I'm asking because I don't know why you're asking me this.

My thoughts exactly. Baby, Wayne and nem good there. Why he need Meek.

Yeah, with the old game. Not saying Stunna can't/don't come back but these young cats play by different rules than we had before Katrina. Actually the rule is there are no rules. I wouldn't put it past one of them to try and get off. And it was the All-Star weekend, that's not just a typical NOLA day. Most of the people out there for the festivities aren't even from here.

Well, I see people saying the same things you said about Meek not being able to win, but using this to downplay Drake's W or imply that Meek actually should have won this beef. My post was a response to that sentiment in general, and I thought you were in the same camp. My fault if you weren't.

I think reference for reference Meek had more to say. I think song quality was obviously Drake. Set-up goes to Drake too. I just don't see this crazy bodybag that everyone else is seeing. I have no problem with people saying Drake won hands-down, depending on the day I might agree, just weird seeing folks acting like Hit Em Up dropped.

Meek got bodied imo, but there's definitely some stuff on social media that's just people hopping on the bandwagon. Like the big companies and stuff. I mean Rosetta Stone? Whataburger? lol

It's more weird people.keep bringing up hit Em up or ether when those took time to come out between rappers beefing for a bit, not out of the blue. Meek and drake started out of the blue.

People coming in here to say it's an ok diss and can't understand why people see the body count are forgetting so many details from prior beefs. Drake is coming out fast, good production and crazy hype in a shirt amount of time. That counts for alot even if the content wasn't substantial. Isn't any leeway given for the quick turn around and hype behind it other than saying it was only ok, it ain't no ether or hit Em up, Drake still soft. Etc.

I gave Drizz the point for Set-up, that included prep-time. And you are right, those songs did take longer to come out. Which is why I said I was puzzled that people were acting like he dropped Hit Em Up. They both dropped what I personally expected them too but reading Twitter seems like people got to hear a whole different battle, lol.

The world works differently now. I think being able to work fast and agile counts for a hell of a lot more than it did before twitter. And Drake has shown himself to be crazy quick. And it's so much more magnified now that the fight is happening on a world wide scale. Not just on hip-hop radio stations.

Drake is built for the social media age.

Edit: I mean with Back To Back the standard Drake has set is that unless you're able to produce and release TWO at least decent tracks in a week you're considered dead and buried.

I guess at the end of the day drake wrote the songs that won the battle so without needing to address the possible elephant in the room, he simply proved that he can still write if he wants to. And like 40 said, hes written hits for others, and it adds context to the "this for yall that think i dont rap enough" as opposed to something like "yall that think i didnt write that shit cuz i did"

No, the just jump on the bandwagon with winner already being decided. Everyone is shitting on Meek so at this point it's more or less expected to Crack a joke on his behalf.

Shit, Meek got so easy handled by Drake...Dude took off like a day from working on his album and put the "real" dude in his place with bars.

Let's see if Drake gonna have a Meek funeral... Otherwise everyone should just post his favorite gift, tweet or meme from this beef and we can move on.

officially done with this weak ass beef. three passive aggressive disses later and this beef ended how I thought it would. reminded me why both these artists really have very little substance to offer. stans of both will continue saying who won, both these fakes lost and showed the state of hiphop in 2015.

Meek went from tweeting 10 times a day to nothing. I think the twitter fingers got under his skin.

That video! Oh my.. It makes me feel bad for Meek. There was almost nothing he could do. Drake's too big.

Ok... This shit is just too funny.

I really hope Meek takes the L like a man and doesn't do some stupid shit in the future to prove how tough he is.

But man this is hard...when you lose a public beef in this day and age... You really lose. Lol Rosetta Stone ...still boggles my mind.

Edit:
Meek: Come on Lord...
Jesus: My Bad

Ok I had to laugh way too much at that part.

I agree there's even a vid of meek mill's SISTER who felt the need to do a diss rap to Drake.

There is? Lol can you post the link?

I know she wants to help Meek but this probably is a bad look for Meek. Really letting your sister rap for you? Again the singing dude?

I would be shocked if Nicki doesn't drop his ass in a couple of weeks after the tour and their current single has run out. Dude had everything a day jeopardized the last years of work with this stupid beef.

Thing is... No other diss song I can remember was also a good club record. Takeover is the best song out of a diss I can recall, but this is a fucking club record that completely bodied Meek's grievances.

Song going to be in rotation for a year at least.

I like it more than anything on IYRTITLate.

"Not even when she tell 'em that they better as friends".. honestly this sort of subtle diss works better for a song you can listen to over and over.

edit: I do think "Hit Em Up" was a decent banger though.. I mean it has 25 million views on YouTube for a reason.
