Microsoft Gamescom 2015 Conference

What I don't get is why does Lara has to re-learn all the skills she learned previously?
Probably for the same reason Megaman starts his tenth adventure without any of the dozens of weapons he's absorbed previously, and why Samus doesn't start Metroid Prime with a couple of dozen nukes up her sleeve.

Seemed like a cool conference. Lots of games across basically every production level and a good number being published on W10 as well. Not sure why people would be disappointed unless they just wanted to see one specific thing.

Only really interested in Scalebound and Tomb Raider from this conference, at least in terms of xbox exclusive games. Conference had a bit of something for most people, but it had a lot of slow points and the halo esports thing was awful. 6/10 conference.

The lack of any big surprises was kind of a bummer.

That Halo 5 console looks pretty neat though.

I dunno

Halo Wars might be a nice surprise for some people

Either way no one can argue that Microsoft doesnt have solid software to stand on at this point

I might be in once they announce a slim remodel but maybe not.

I'm trying to understand what people expected to be announced that they're so disappointed with the conference. I thought it was great overall. Were people really expecting a surprise Rare game?

Apparently.

Good show, Scalebound/QB/Crackdown 3 all looked great.

Halo Wars 2 was a nice announcement, they got a good developer in Creative Assembly, KI Season 3 isn't a huge surprise but good announcement.

Thank you 343, thank you. Halo Wars 2 was one of my biggest gaming wishes ever. I am more excited for that than any other game in 2016. My cousin and I still play the first one.

Happy with conference.

2015 lineup was known already.

QB looked great, Scalebound looked ok, hope to see a lot more. Crackdown will be fun, may not he a masterpiece. Some of the indie stuff looked good too.

Halo Wars 2 I will probably get on PC.

i honestly dont know what people want anymore. There are people saying that nothing here interests them. They hit like every genre, even RTS which is almost extinct on consoles

It was a solid showing, but mostly games we already knew existed. I was just hoping for a few more surprises other than Battletoads in KI and Halo Wars 2.

Where are the moderators.. there is a lot of irrational hate and trolling in this thread an no one is doing something... this is a perfect time to clean this foro from those toxic sony fans that are affecting gaf reputation.

Scalebound is my highlight. I'm willing to give Quantum Break and Crackdown 3 a try but I don't know. Both look kinda meh. The Halo eSports segments was unbelievably bad and I don't really care about Halo Wars. No price cut either...

The time could have been cut down, but overall pretty good conference.

The only real disappointment is Scalebound's frame rate, which will likely improve closer to release.

Xbox's lineup is looking really good now.

Funny thing is at least Microsoft brought a conference to gamescom.

The competitor doesn't need it, they have shown good stuff before. Seriously I don't want to make this about A vs B but Microsoft aren't exactly in a top position when it comes to their console, especially in Germany so I thought they would be bringing heavy announcements here.

Scalebound revealed as a JRPG and Dark Souls 3 gameplay reveal were definitely the highlights of the show for me. TBH before the conference u couldn't have cared less about Scalebound but now I can't wait to see more of it.

2016 is going to be an amazing year

I'd have to agree.

Quantum Break
Scalebound
Recore
Gears 4
HALO WARS 2!!!
Crackdown 3
Forza (probably Horizon 3)

Plus if you got a PS4 you get to enjoy:

The Last Guardian
Uncharted 4
Horizon

Going to be such an amazing year for exclusives.

The entire hour between Scalebound and Tomb Raider could have been cut out and nothing would really be lost. They should have just worked their stuff into E3 and skipped GC like Sony.
