Xbox Ones 2016 lineup is stacked!!

It's certainly a decent lineup. None of them are making me run out the door to buy an xbone right now (although scalebound is peaking interest), but in a couple of years when the console is cheaper I might be pretty tempted.

Recore
Gears of War 4
Halo Wars 2
Sea of Thieves
Quantum Break
Crackdown
Scalebound

Clearly this line up is only possible with the power of Xbox One, bringing gamers the games of tomorrow, to their living rooms today. With the Xbox brand of gaming products, be prepared for your imaginations to soar to new worlds.

Xbox One: the only part of the comfy couch you need is THE EDGE!

Recore - Concept looks cool
Gears of War 4 - Not a Gears guy but could be cool
Halo Wars 2 - Not an RTS guy, not a Halo guy
Sea of Thieves - ???
Quantum Break - Could be cool or really boring depending on the pacing and gameplay variety. What they've shown so far is pretty but meh.
Crackdown - I don't know. Didn't look that good other than the destruction. Collecting Orbs just isn't my thing.
Scalebound - BUYING XBOX ONE FOR THIS GAME
Killer Instinct Season 3 - I'll try it

I was under the impression Cuphead was this year.

Capy says Below will have a good chance of coming out in 2015, but may slip to early 2016.

Check out Ashen, coming to PC and XBO in 2016.

I think it's pretty impressive we just a little over half way through 2015 but we already know 2016 is going to bring us 7 potentially amazing exclusives.

Recore
Gears of War 4
Halo Wars 2
Sea of Thieves
Quantum Break
Crackdown
Scalebound

*Killer Instinct Season 3

As well as indies like Inside, Below and Cuphead.

I just hope we get updates soon on Twisted Pixel and Press Play.

Forza Horizons 3 is a safe bet and I'm sure they haven't announced the entire 2016 line up yet.
We never really truly do know though. I bet at some point during 2016, two of those will be released in 2017.
Halo Wars 2 and ReCore. CG trailer and CG trailer.

Very good lineup. I still want more new IP RPGs though if I'm going to buy XO, and that same goes for every platform.

Aren't these reaction threads frowned upon?

But yeah, solid lineup I guess. Looking forward to Crackdown and QB.
I never understand why these threads get locked much of the time. They're not "reactions", they're observations. Would it make a difference if this was posted a week from now?

Are you guys pretending there won't be a forza game in there?

People will try to downplay this lineup but there's no denying that each of these games will be hits.

But if any of them are during preseason they won't count, so might as well scratch them out now.

It is a good lineup though! I'm only seriously interested in Scalebound, currently. I was super hyped for Crackdown, but I thought what was shown today looked meh.

Statements like this are what invite console war BS into these kinds of threads. And no, there is no guarantee each of these games will be a hit. You'd be foolish to make such an assumption.

Nah, just drawing the line somewhere, anyway I did add indies, Look in the op!

why would distinctions between independent and wholly owned subsidiaries need to be made, I mean if a game is good and fun, that's ultimately what matters, right? Or I would think it should be, personally.

Most of these games have or can have a dedicated topic for people to discuss in. Stitching together a list of games that have perhaps one commonality, exclusivity, probably isn't for the best, because of console wars and the like.

Edited. Looks like some people aren't mature enough to have the discussion without jumping at me.

WOW. That looks amazing.

Looks like a promising year for them in 2016 to be sure. I'm definitely interested in Scalebound and Quantum Break, not really much for Halo or Gears.

My concern with Quantum Break is that it'll suffer from the same repetitive nature that Alan Wake had, but I know a lot of people still loved Alan Wake, so that'll probably still work for them if it turns out to be the case.

Crackdown may be awesome, definitely keeping my eye out for that one as well.

Nice to see some new IPs coming. But there's a lot there we don't know much about or look very early still. Still not sold on XB1 yet, but I'm getting there. Especially if QB and Crackdown deliver.

I do understand these threads but don't understand why they are console specific.

With that being said - as a PS4 only owner - MS having a solid lineup for 2016 makes me excited a) for folks with X1s and b) that Sony will continue to push hard knowing that MS won't be easing up

Not trying to start a list war, but I think this thread is not really specific to Xbox right?

In that case, I think Sony have a really good 2016 line up too. Probably the best since 2013, which was by far the best year of PS3 in terms of exclusives. The best part about it is that it is much more diverse than any other publisher out there. From Uncharted 4 to Ratchet and Clan, Horizon to The Last Guardian, Street Fighter V to No Man's Sky. In addition to that, you have the Japanese gems: Star Ocean V, World of Final Fantasy, Dissidia Final Fantasy, Persona 5 (Yea, I gave up on a 2015 release), etc. Not counting the ones which will probably be announced at TGS/PGW/PSX and all the Morpheus buzz and titles. I actually think it is going to be the best year ever for Sony.
The title has Xbox One in it... so you tell me.

2016 is going to be a great year for gaming.

To be brutally honest if its a AAA title and they haven't got in-game footage to show... I'm always going to be of the opinion its more than 12 months from release.

Really doubt all those titles will make full-release in 2016, playable beta for Crackdown and Halo Wars at best before 2017.

Thread title...

Xbox Ones 2016 lineup is stacked!!

o.O

2016 as a whole looks fantastic. I don't usually buy that many games in one year, but damn does 2016 look expensive.

I'm not expecting Crackdown 3 to make 2016 based on that footage but I expect FH3 to be announced next year with a 2016 release.

btw. Every year that isn't this year is always the most stacked year ever. Hype through the roof. Then the next year happens, summer hits, a few games are delayed to the following year, then you repeat the process more with hype for the following year.

Out of all them we've seen what? A combined 20 minutes of gameplay? Bit early to be proclaiming anything, either on the PS4 or XBone

I am excited to see how good that lineup is. I'm not 100% that they will all be good games, but those, + Star Citizen are going to keep me occupied for months.

Well, I can't create threads and I'm talking about something directly related to the matter in question... so I don't think there is a problem? I can edit my post though if you guys think it is for the better. :/

The first 2 words of the thread title say Xbox One.

Mirrors my thoughts EXACTLY

some people genuinely can't afford more than one console so they have to pick one for 8 years or more. it sucks but that's the reality of it.

Well that's just a shame of course. When I was younger I sold off my older consoles/games to buy new ones or other stuff. Not for everyone, I know, but I enjoyed it.
