Even from the cold, calculating logic of picking up girls, this shows why your "tactic" is dog shit:

If the community hates you, you will be less successful than the most awkward nerd.

Where in Montreal was this? St-Laurent street? Plateau? Old port? I didn't recognize the venue from the potato cam quality.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!

This is the same piece of filth who says things like:

Danish women possess no flirting ability. They have zero charm and zero allure. Not a feminine drop of blood courses through their veins. They don’t know how to treat you well, cook for you, or make you laugh. They don’t know how to look sexy. They won’t defer to your masculinity. They can fuck you, but no more. What they do have are pussies and opinions you really don’t care about hearing. That’s it. Denmark takes top prize for having the most unfeminine and androgynous robotic women I’ve met in the world

Basically he couldn't pick a woman up in Denmark, so obviously in this psychopath's mind that means there's something wrong with the women of an entire country.

Ok, so I looked for the original article where this quote is from, because I really wanted to see the "logic" behind this statement. Ready? Here it is.

If I ever saw a prime example of victim-blaming... What a sick fuck.

So he's a Libertarian. Shocking.

I don't think I've ever wanted to throw up after reading something before now. What the fucking christ is wrong with this guy.

Do you have a access to a larger portion of what he said? I just don't trust small quotes anymore, I like seeing the overall context.

i can't find more of that specific quote, but there's plenty from roosh in general

While every feminist likes to repeat the phrase “No means no,” it depends on context. Here's a guide:

“No” when you try to take off her jeans or shirt means… “You need to turn me on a lot more.”

“No” when you try to take off her bra means… “Try again in five minutes.”

“No” when you try to take off her panties means… “Don't give up now!”

And how little thought must you actually have to think "This is a good idea" How about substituting rape with murder. "Let's make murder legal on private property! Murders on private property will be eliminated since people will be ultra cautious who they hand around!"

the really hilarious part about this was the way his book basically admitted that thanks to social programs and gender equality danish women aren't poor and desperate to land a guy so his usual gross manipulations just don't work as well there

So he's a Libertarian. Shocking.

Why do people always say this kind of shit? It hasn't nothing to do with anything, hell the grand majority of any rhetoric I've heard from libertarians, whether I agreed or disagreed, was about allowing people to do what they want to do as long as it doesn't effect other people. Encouraging rape and all this other shit has nothing to do with a political ideology, the man is just a straight up sociopath.

But hey anything to get a cheap shot in on any political party we don't like I guess.

Anyway, on topic, I'm saddened but not shocked to see this kind of rhetoric. It's the kind of stuff that's going to rise up as women's issues become more focused on and I think as long as society keeps fighting back against guys like Roosh, we should be ok in the long run.

No, he just wants to legalize it. Legalized rape is still rape.

"This issue concerns me since I have a sister who I don’t want to be raped"

"After several months of advertising this law throughout the land, rape would be virtually eliminated on the first day it is applied."

Again the article seems to me that he wants to eliminate it, albeit in a extraordinary unorthodox way.

Also apparently he is in Toronto this weekend. If he was actually promoting rape, why would the Canadian government let him in?

Get rid of the nanny state and everything will be perfect? (Given his argument that his law would eliminate rape since women would be careful.) That sounds pretty Libertarian to me.

I just did some googling and this is what he's talking about at these venues:

“The State Of Man” is a 40-minute speech that carefully examines the existence of modern man. It deconstructs the problems men face today while giving practical solutions for helping them improve their intimate relationships with women and increase their overall enjoyment with life. The speech will be part of a 4-hour event that includes a Q&A and meet & greet.

Here is a preview of what the speech will contain:

  • The paradox of modern women
  • 11 problems that Western culture is facing today
  • How to mentally approach living in a degenerate world
  • An examination of three different time periods men faced in the past
  • What today’s man has gained and lost compared to his ancestors
  • The unique sacrifice that modern men have to make that historical men didn’t
  • How women are creating a generation of men who are eager to drop out
  • How to construct a win-win lifestyle where you come out on top no matter what
  • 7 tips on how to meet women and experience intimacy in 2015
  • Examination of the sustainability of game for men who aim to use it for the long term
  • The overall benefits we can expect from women in the pursuit of relationships with them
  • The two things that will allow you to enjoy life to the fullest
  • One important need that all men require in life
  • Three mental processes to use when you’re feeling beaten and hopeless
The speech is intended for men who are concerned with the decline of modern culture and are at the same time eager to work at improving their lives. It will give men actionable steps for becoming a better man and gaining the benefits in life that they desire.

The event will take place once in each of the following cities: Berlin, London, Washington DC, New York City, Montreal, and Toronto.

I'm saying him being libertarian has nothing to do with this topic and like I said, is still just you trying to get a cheap shot in at a political ideology you dislike.

Most of my views could be described as "pretty libertarian" and I think this guy is a complete piece of shit so I guess I'm just a weeiiirdo.

his view is that women are at fault when they are raped, thus they should be incentivized to avoid being raped

this is not only immediately disgusting to anyone with half a conscience but it also completely ignores the factual and statistical realities of rape

in fact i find it kind of disturbing that i'm having to explain this at all

But his "plan" has exactly zero chance of eliminating rape and will only succeed in protecting rapists. And it's based on the idea that women should be held responsible for their being raped, which is gross.

Are you just not actually reading what he or anyone here is saying or fucking what.

If you actually think he is in anyway advocating anything for women you're out of your mind.

That looks like a bullet point of a typical motivational speaker, but I guess with a men only platform?

Anyways I had never heard of this guy, but he has been on the news across Canada lately. He is getting PR, mostly bad but more attention then he probably has ever gotten before.

i think the point isn't "he's pro-rape so of course he's libertarian" it's that "his so-called rape solution is just the invisible hand of the market so it makes sense that he's libertarian"

That's such a ridiculous stretch it actually hurts my brain. He's saying something on the most extreme end of the spectrum, that's like pointing out any other ridiculous person saying something either extremely and radically left or right wing and going "of course he's a democrat/republican".

Jesus calm down, have you read it?

Apparently more so than you have!

I'm saying the crux of his proposal was more small government trash that never works.

One of the most depressing things I have ever seen is Pick-Up Artists in action. My world really turned upside down when I saw how effective it was. I don't know why but it made me incredible sad. Like real bummed out. I think it's fine to respond and be attracted to shallow things, but wanting to be with a shithead that says abusive stuff? I just don't comprehend it..

Kicking him out of the bar was fine, but following him down the road for like 5 minutes was a bit too much.

Also the chick at the end, "Eat my cunt!". LOL

Yes. A half assed justification that would allow him to commit rape without consequence because he has no respect for women...is there something else I'm missing?

Genuinely starting to think Martel is either on his side or at this point completely unwilling to admit his strange skepticism is completely off base.

I saw women wholly unconcerned with their own safety and the character of men they developed intimate relationships with. I saw women who voluntarily numbed themselves with alcohol and other drugs in social settings before letting the direction of the night's wind determine who they would follow into a private room. I saw women who, once feeling awkward, sad, or guilty for a sexual encounter they didn't fully remember, call upon an authority figure to resolve the problem by locking up her previous night's lover in prison or ejecting him from school.

By attempting to teach men not to rape, what we have actually done is teach women not to care about being raped, not to protect themselves from easily preventable acts, and not to take responsibility for their actions. At the same time, we don't hesitate to blame men for bad things that happen to them (if right now you walked into a dangerous ghetto and got robbed, you would be called an idiot and no one would say “teach ghetto kids not to steal”). It was obvious to me that the advice of our esteemed establishment writers and critics wasn't stopping the problem, and since rape was already on the law books with severe penalties, additional laws or flyers posted on dormitory doors won't stop this rape culture either.

I thought about this problem and am sure I have the solution: make rape legal if done on private property. I propose that we make the violent taking of a woman not punishable by law when done off public grounds.
i am not making any value judgments when i say that he is making, at its heart, an economical argument here. he puts forth the idea that government should reduce or eliminate its role in regulating something that is currently considered to be criminal so that the natural forces of the "market" will take over and effect a better and simpler solution.

it's a clearly libertarian argument. i don't see any way around that.

Some quotes from his own website :

"I just saw the movie 300, which had an awful rape scene—it didn’t arouse me at all."

"I accidentally stumbled on a French porn clip of four masked men “raping” two French girls. Not only did the guys put condoms on, but the girls helped them do it. I was so disgusted that I stopped watching."

"The key to a good rape scene is seeing the girl change from hating it to loving it. She has to want to be raped again."

"I did not get aroused during that scene, like I normally do when watching rape"

So, he, like... realizes that in promoting "making rape legal", people like the Hell's Angel's have probably got a hot tailpipe for his ass, if you will. Just paraphrasing, you know, but he seems a certain type of stupid and misogynist that won't fair well if he keeps running his mouth in the wrong places, to the wrong sort of people.
