Xbox One adds Xbox 360 backwards compatibility

Slightly OT, but do you only get them by pre-ordering Gears? I wasn't planning on picking it up until after release, but that might change things.

Pre-ordering does not get you the games.

Playing Ultimate Edition before the end of the year gets you digital copies of the first four Gears games for BC. Those digital copies won't be granted until after BC is public.
 
Anyone playing through the Gears 1 campaign?

Im at the last checkpoint, Raam fight and i cant finish it. Game produces a Sound Error and a freeze a few seconds after that. Cant finish it.

Didn't have that issue myself but the train stage was definitely the one with the most problems I had playing through the campaign. Got some really bad frame-rate drops in the level.

thanks for that url, refreshed my memory on what I own.

I also forgot that games with gold on 360 are titles you keep forever and not just when you have gold, so I have plenty of things to play in the future if they all become BC.

BTW does anyone know how cloud saves work for these backward compatible titles when your gold expires? I run out in 3 days and didn't plan to renew for a few weeks yet, if not a little longer.
 
Damn I just checked my purchase history and I have five game addons that say Unknown Title from the last year. No idea what they could be lol..

I had a similar error during the last cutscene of Act 1, but it never fully froze. It would just jump forward after a second and then break again.

Played the game through online coop. Last level, Raam fight, still the same. ;(
Sadly have to wait for a patch now.
Ive already used the feedback function to report that.
 
Man I wish they'd add Fallout 3 or better yet NEW VEGAS before Fallout 4 launches rather than after. It makes more sense to let us play through the older games to prepare for the new one instead of giving us both at once. Why would I play 3 when I have 4?

Also, hope they add Catan. Plz.

What happened to that "over 100" by end of the year? I still can't shake the feeling this is going to be like the 360 BC.
 
My xbox live ran out today so I decided to try BC without a gold account since I heard someone say that it might not work without cloud save access.

Gears of war plays fine, the game loaded up a local save just like on 360 and all my progress is still there, trying to access the cloud save of course says it's offline because I don't have gold.
 
Dark souls ran like crap on the 360/PS3 as it is (Mostly sub 30 fps, tons of screen tearing). V-Sync will murder the framerate even more unless they tweak things lol.

There's still 4 1/2 months to go to hit that goal. With the exception of Rare Replay, we are still in preview until November. The unofficial lists being circulated are just that.

Fair enough. That's where Microsoft will have to prove otherwise, though they've been talking a good talk. Hope they deliver. I must say, it's been great to boot up 360 games on my One. Never thought that would happen.

1) I hope they aren't counting Rare Replay's games in that 100 list.
2) Yeah the fact it's in preview until November and 100 games is promised is what scares me.
3) At the least XB1 BC wasn't promised at launch like 360's BC, so I don't feel ripped off like I did with the 360 BC.

I'm sure the 6 b/c Rare Replay games are included in that 100.
And it probably won't be until November the rest of the b/c games are released

i hope they figure that out, too, but i'd rather they sort out the emulation kinks as a top priority. Seems the only game that doesn't have major issues of the ones i own is Geowars and i;m getting a hint of input lag in that game that makes me not want to play it that much
