What a stupid bastard.Jeff loves MGS at it's most nonsensical, so 2 and 4 are his favorites, he does not care for 3.
I knew I didn't like him.

He has some jaded views but I tend to get where he's coming from on some of that stuff even if I completely don't agree about 3.What a stupid bastard.

I can see the game being pretty divisive as far as review scores go. You have to imagine that most reviewers won't have played Peace Walker, and anyone going into this game expecting another MGS1-4 style experience is going to have a rude awakening.
Reviews a week before release? That seems to me like Konami are pretty confident in the product. Does that not seem a little ironic considering the events of the past few months?
I think a lot of people at Konami are actually good people, only the suits at the very top are fucked up in the head. Just look at the retweets of cosplay and general hype.
This seems crazy to me. Are they usually this far from release in MGS embargoes?Reviews do come in Sunday.

actually you kind of have to be stupid in order to prefer MGS3's story to MGS2.
The
Man, I've been watching this gameplay demo over and over, and only now I've come to realize how great it would be if we were to get P.T. or any sort of short Silent Hills segment in a similiar fashion to how Snake's nightmare was in the PS2 version of Metal Gear Solid 3.

Don't be a schmuk.
well MGS3's story is basically a Bond movie while MGS2's is like a play where the audience is in the lead role.
I get the difference. I still thought your comment was schmuky.

And that gives you the right to call people names just for preferring one over the other?
I was apprehensive about paying £57.99 for it but then I remembered it's Kojima's swan song, and you can't put a price on brilliance.A Phantom War

Quantity < Diversity. It can have two open worlds, like The Witcher 3, and still have a hugely diverse range of locations. I'm more worried about miles of samey looking desert and outposts.
I'm quite certain this isn't going to happen. I've got a vibe TPP is going to have god-tier level design.
It's very likely that either Afghanistan or South Africa will range up into mountains and snowy terrain. Would be truly MGS3 style.
I'm disappointed there aren't more open worlds, because TW3 has spoiled me, but I think the detail and diversity and richness of TPP is going to outweight the size factor.

Glad there are people who appreciate what you get out of a game like this. If it entertains me for 30 hours those 65 I paid are nothing.![]()
I was watching the super cut of Peace Walker, and came up with a dumb fan theory. Having no good place to put it, I will dump it here. Feel free to ignore if you don't want to hear my crackpot theory.
Any how, that is the dumb idea I had when watching the recap of peace walker. Really though I don't think this is likely, but the game is two weeks away and I can not stop my brain from running wild. I want it so bad and I can not block it out to make time go faster...Paz, or Pacifica Ocean is a clone of Eva. Les Enfants Terribles was a plan to clone all the patriots, not just Big Boss. I would assume there are other ocean clones, Atlantica? Eli could be one of the snakes, or maybe he is a clone of Zero?
For the Africa setting...well apart from the jungles it has the climable rock walls and waterfalls etc...

The MGS games have always provided me with 30+ hours of entertainment. Money well spent, in my opinion.Glad there are people who appreciate what you get out of a game like this. If it entertains me for 30 hours those 65 I paid are nothing.![]()
Don't forget the swamplands!
Those too! I've been a little lax on the gameplay footage pretty much the last year. I've watched bits and pieces but if I devoured it the wait would be terrible. MGS4 came out the day I took my Geography GCSE and if anyone asks I blame it for me getting a D.
Disclaimer: It wasn't, of course, I was just terrible at Geography.

Holy shit, now I feel old.
same. i've put 120 or more hours into ground zeroes between the ps3 and pc versions. it's just really, really fun to play.Only 30? I've probably played Ground Zeroes for longer than that. I wouldn't be surprised if I breeze past 30 hours before I'm even finished with my first playthrough; I don't even want to think about the disgusting amounts of time I'm going to be dumping into this game in the years to come![]()

My bad.

I'm playing MGS4 and what the fuck is that?
Please tell me it's a montage. Fuck I need to leave this forum.

It's nothing. Ignore it.
I'm really sorry! If it helps, you'll see it if you leave the menu running. Plus, it was in the trailers. Even so, I'm still really sorry though.
