Phone autocorrecting while trying to board a flight. :-(
TELL ME WHAT TO BE MAD AT IN THIS VID, GAF.
I think I speak on behalf of all of the men of Alpha Phi Alpha when I say, "yea, we'd party with them."
I wonder if they swing wood. >:-3
Where were this girls when I was in college??
Damn son
;_;7No scissoring at all, like not even for a second
Knowing my sorors, the only difference would be pink & green bikinis, a Drake/Kanye/Weekend song...and the occasional pant suit in some random school.Shit is as corny as hell but it ain't bad. They do have a type though.
I want to see an AKA one
No scissoring at all, like not even for a second
If these were asian girls pretending to be innocent, thread would be different with 100% more honor defending
This was the norm at my state Uni. I remember Playboy scored quite a few of their college issue models from our school while I was there. Some of the girls were in my class and were asked about it regularly.
You, you I likeToo many blondes, not enough gingers! >=(
oh king arthur wow that's much less random than two Greek lettersThey're not random. They have special meanings & stuff. For example, it's been widely rumored that Kappa Alpha actually stands for King Arthur.
Eh, no more than those 'vapid basics with fake blonde hair and orange tans' clearly triggered you in the first place. I was just reminding you that one mans trash is another mans totty.
Yeah, the Greek system is like the opposite of that at Alabama: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Machine_(social_group)Greek culture was pretty dumb at my college. For the most part the only people who took it seriously were the ones that were part of it. Everyone else either thought it was a joke or best case scenario, with indifference.
Every so often you'd get someone running for student office that would run on a platform to improve Greek life. They never won.
Partying with better looking dudes.
I didn't say they weren't hot, I asked why they are allowed.
These things are a dime a dozen. BS put up a new one today.

Partying with better looking dudes.
Oh my god! Words like this can drive lesser dudes to kill themselves!
...and why shouldn't they be?
Pretty similar, but the video in the OP is better imo![]()
Well, it isn't random. There's usually some "mythology" going on with organizations, as well. There's history, significance, etc., in both name and color and whatnot.
I mean, no one has to buy into it or take it seriously, but to say that they're just "random Greek letters" really isn't true.
What school did you go to? I went to UC Santa Barbara and there were lots of hot girls in there. It was paradise
I can't speak to every single fraternity or sorority, but ours wasn't made up "after the fact." The founding sisters of the sorority I was in created our lore and have very real history. Again, how seriously anyone wants to take it is totally subjective and certainly I don't care how it is viewed, but talking shit about stuff you don't know about is also kinda weird.
By all means, make fun of the made up traditions and mythology. I mean, no one really takes it seriously that I know, anyway, so I don't expect people that aren't affiliated to either. I never really took it seriously either, but my chapter was always a bit more laidback about that sort of stuff.
However, please stop with your whole "random names and colors" as if we took darts to the Greek alphabet and picked colors out of a hat. That's just factually wrong. Regardless of how superficial or lighthearted the initial method of choosing was, it wasn't "random."
For example, my sorority was founded by a group of women back in the 1870s, at a college where they were the first women to ever be admitted to a male college in that state. The first woman was actually valedictorian of her class, as well. That's not made up mythology or lore, that's actual history. I happen to think it's pretty cool considering the struggles and discrimination they must have faced back then, and I am not ashamed of idealizing people like them as role models or wanting to participate in the societies they set up. Do I care if they maybe chose a color or flower or motto because it sounded pretty or they personally liked it? No, not really. It's no different than the concept of birthstones. Just because it originated from a fun and not totessrs! place doesn't mean it can't still be enjoyed and accepted, or can't represent a group of people.
I didn't find it all that offensive. Just awful. Also aimed at guys. Who exactly do they think is going to want to join this sorority? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Sororities and Fraternities don't make sense to me fundamentally.
I guess they're meant to be glamorous and this is what that means to them?
