But I heard he is one of those bad socialist people ;(
We joke, but if he got the nomination this could seal Trump's victory unless young people actually bother to vote
But I heard he is one of those bad socialist people ;(
Good thing he's not running under a Socialist ticket, or is using the term at all in his campaign.
Sanders will be smeared into oblivion if he gets much closer to winning. Every corporate media outlet will be misrepresenting his economic policies and pushing manipulative scare FUD.
Its so strange, because if you speak to majority of people or read through any form of government social media you get nothing but hate for the Tories yet they managed to get the majority vote. That interview was on point. I loved what he said about how the media divides America and creates this entire fake political narrative that has nothing to do with the real issues. So people end up voting completely against their own interests.
Any American who isn't fabulously wealthy and in on the capitalist gang bang at the highest level should vote for this guy, whether they are democrat or republican. All the other candidates are company men (and women), bought and paid for, acting against their best interests at home and abroad.
It's very encouraging, by the way, to see Sanders doing so well. It's almost like more and more people are starting to get it. Meanwhile, in the UK, they just voted the tories in again. Americans (some of them anyway) seem to be wising up, while the Brits are as clueless as ever.
His secret is TOTALLY safe then.
I know NeoGAF loves Bernie Sanders, but does this man really have a chance at being President if he wins the primary? He seems to lean to the far left and we all know how much of a chance those who lean to the far right have.
I want someone to tell me a real talk answer on Bernie's chances of winning. Real talk. Give me a percentage.

The thread title change is really befuddling for me to read. I think I got it on my 3rd readthrough.
If only Bernie had not called himself a socialist in the past, it would have been easier for him to defend himself against the inevitable conservative attacks he'll get on that. But he did. So if he wins the primary, all of the media will be on his ass, rerunning videos of him saying "I'm a socialist". And that will destroy his chances of winning the general election.
A lot of gaffers don't like Bernie. If they did they wouldn't be peddling this I like Bernie but Clinton is more electable drivel.
It's like talking to Republicans who have a black friend stop that excuses anything at a national level they don't want to see.
If he wins the primary? Those attacks will start well before that, I expect Hillary to start hitting him hard soon.

Well this is a steaming pile of bullshit. I actually like Bernie better. He's not electable though, and my main concern is keeping the GOP away from total control of the house, senate and presidency. Especially for judicial appointees.
Same old shit, and yet it's a very salient concern that you can't bat away so blithely.Same old shit, every thread.
Again you're being a fool. The Gallup poll you're riding your argument on is leaving out the entire Republican narrative that is riding more and more on fact as the FBI uncovers more and more dirt on her. This is a lot easier sell than the Swift Boat scenario of 2004 - there's a dime a dozen of National Security "experts" that get paid to pretend to be experts and ramble on Fox News all the time, you think they won't jump in line to get paid to advocate how Hillary would totally compromise our intelligence agencies (again) and threaten our National Security to be obliterated by a group like ISIS?
Come on now. You can't act like the Republican Hate Machine doesn't have better dirt on Hillary, who has proven early she can't fire up the base. You're leaving it up to moderates at that point, and this is what you're assuming won't take hold when it comes down to voting day. Bernie's actually connecting with people in a lot of ways, and he's on the path to overtake her. They'll shake their fist at the term all they want, but Bernie can stick up for himself in this regard.
Hillary and her money can't beat the republican hate machine, but socialist Bernie and no superpac money will. What a fuckin' hoot this thread is.

Bernie's been real with it since day one. Fuck political "pragmatism". Fuck "it's her turn". Fuck a candidate who shifts her principles once something becomes politically prudent.

Bernie is too damn old. He's the politician I agree with the most, but his 'electability' will come into question when shit gets serious. He'd be 79 at the end of his first term.
He's not a corporate and military-industrial complex stooge. Clinton is.
The Democrats will get behind him when he secures the nomination, rest assured. Hillary had the money back in 2008, a hell of a lot more than Obama, and got obliterated.
Jesus fucking christ it's like you people pretend previous elections never happened.

Bernie sanders wishes he had 1/10 of the charisma that Obama has.
And Hillary isn't? She's only 6 years younger. He isn't going to die of old age after two weeks.Bernie is too damn old. He's the politician I agree with the most, but his 'electability' will come into question when shit gets serious. He'd be 79 at the end of his first term.
Why don't people who like Bernie better but don't think he can win just vote for him in the primaries and see how that goes before voting for who you need to in the general election? This wish-washy "I like him but... electability" shit sounds nonsense to me when you're so far out still from having to make any real decision.
Did you follow Obama's brilliant campaign? Even just watch his "A More Perfect Union" speech and you'll see why these comparisons aren't all that complete. The Democrats will get behind him when he secures the nomination, rest assured. Hillary had the money back in 2008, a hell of a lot more than Obama, and got obliterated.

Obama's fundraising essentially matched Clinton's in the 2008 primary. It's one of the many ways in which they differ. The Democrats will get behind him when he secures the nomination, rest assured. Hillary had the money back in 2008, a hell of a lot more than Obama, and got obliterated.

BERNIE SANDERS IS NOT OBAMA
Does Hillary have charisma? I've never seen it.
Its so strange, because if you speak to majority of people or read through any form of government social media you get nothing but hate for the Tories yet they managed to get the majority vote.
I personally think that the problem is the middle/higher classes are the ones who voted Tory while the lower class either voted against them or didnt vote at all since they are so disillusioned with the whole system.
People may hate him but Russell Brand really does have some great points when it comes to trying to get people more involved and aware of the issues that affect their community and to try and combat it themselves. People need to be taught that standing by and either assuming that you will get screwed either way or that someone else will sort the problem out wont work and you need to not only help out yourself but also vote against parties like the Tories.
Im hoping that we might start to get people willing to take a chance on more radical parties like the Greens, yeah they may not have the experience as other parties but its clear that all we are going to get from the major parties is more and more hurt and sacrifice. Hopefully Sanders does well in America as he seems like a great start to re-educating people on what an actual alternative is and to wake them up to the fact that most other politicians are just corporate tools who only care about themselves and their friends.
And they didn't for Obama? And they won't for Hillary?
If Bernie is able to overcome Hillary, I really wouldn't worry as much during the general election. For the past 3 years Hillary has been viewed as the inevitable one and she will be a lot harder of an opponent to overcome than any of the candidates the GOP has churned out.Well this is a steaming pile of bullshit. I actually like Bernie better. He's not electable though, and my main concern is keeping the GOP away from total control of the house, senate and presidency. Especially for judicial appointees.
The only reason we haven't seen Republicans dig up a shitload of dirt on Bernie is because they have no reason to bother doing it. That immediately changes if he somehow wins the Democratic nomination.
Bernie sanders wishes he had 1/10 of the charisma that Obama has.
The thing that concerns me is that there seems to be a rise in young Tories, anecdotal of course. These are the people who have grown up in middle class/non benefit households and dont know a lot about the actual facts/details of the parties and just go by the headlines. I have see/heard of quite a few that voted Tory because "they have done a good job/My life is going well so why would i vote for anyone else?"That's because the big chunk of people who vote conservative are old folks who don't know what the Internet is. And for someone like Bernie to win the elections, these old folks all need to die.
It's what I've been saying for years: big changes come along with generational changes. When we are the ones who are retired and the previous old guard is dead and gone, you will find the political landscape to be very different.
Bernie sanders wishes he had 1/10 of the charisma that Obama has.

It's pretty naive to assume that Bernie doesn't have any skeletons in his closet.
Serious question is anyone genuinely excited about hilldawg? The closest thing I've seen to excitement is some histrionics about why Bernie can't win.
