PAL Charts - Week 35, 2015

Ah bugger, shows how close I follow these things. Cheaper online though, so that will have eaten sales like with Dishonoreds upgrade fee.

That's just the toy box. The physical version includes 3 characters and the Star Wars levels, that's kinda like the whole point of buying this.

I payed $20 Canadian for the physical version of 2.0 to play with my grandson. He doesn't know what to do in the toy box but he loves the Spider-man levels.

Why i believe 80/20 for MGS V is going to be crazy prediction.. I mean MGS is a well renowned series and also with the recent events at Konami it must have gotten lot of publicity and i believe people on all consoles will like to have a go at this one last Metal Gear Solid created by Hideo Kojima. So i believe we may see something like 66:33 for MGS V between PS4:XBO

Wow... Xbone multiplats falling well behind PS4 this week across the board for some reason.

Looks like Until Dawn could be set to do well for itself, but Oneechanbara Z2 doesn't even make the charts? UK... what the fuck are you doing?
While id hesitate to say it represents the entire market the YTD charts on Anazon UK consistently show PS4 versions comfortably above XB1 versions.

XB1 still sells well in UK but the charts and info have made clear for a while it's a very solid second place choice behind PS4.

Dunno but there hasn't been an Xbone exclusive for a while has there?

Gears sales are obviously due to pent up demand since end of last year.

In the charts or at #1? Because Rare Replay debuted at #1 a few weeks ago and there's almost always been an xbox exclusive in the charts, I want to say always but there's probably been the off week or two. Forza Horizon 2 was in them for almost a year straight alone.

Most folks don't like to jump on a series a #4.

Pleased to see Until Dawn there. A bloody awesome experience, that. :D

I wander if there is going to be good word of mouth to keep this game in the chart..

Just checked on Amazon and it has 77% 5 star reviews which is more than Demons Souls 72% 5 star reviews..

So let see if manages to translate this good customer reviews into sales also.

I expect the split to be atleast 70/30 for MGSV. It will probably end up being closer to 80/20. The series is heavily associated with Playstation.

Maybe he meant an exclusive that was actually a new game rather than a remaster/port(s) of some kind? It's a fair point considering I don't think there has been a new XB1 only game released at retail since Sunset Overdrive nearly a year ago.

So you're saying that Gears of War Ultimate edition isn't a remaster?

Yeah, that's weird. It's #10 on PS4.

TPP XB1 #6 in the current best-sellers in games though.

Your post refers to hourly chart, his is probably a monthly. Btw. Check how many days is MGSV for PS4 in TOP 100 and how many days is Xbone version.

This is how much bigger Metal Gear is on PS3/4 compared to other platforms.

I'm not even sure if the XB1 version will outperform the PS3 version, it might in the UK, but probably not in the rest of EU.

I am talking about UK only... that PS4 winning 80:20 to XBO is a bit crazy in my view which some are predicting in this thread.

Anyway just my opinion

American football is popular enough in the UK that they get regular season games played there and is rumoured that London will get a team eventually.

The tickets for the matches in Wembley sell out instantly but still, interest must be spreading since the charts are for the whole country.

It will probably have no legs but this time two years ago I don't think it was in the charts.

I read in the previous thread that Until Dawn is #1 in value charts. What was the prices of Until Dawn and Gears UE? Also does bundled software count as a £0.00?

And I personally expect the ratio between MGS versions (PS4 and XBO) to be at least 3:1 in favor of PS4.

Why would people who are not fans of MGS care if this is the last Hideo Kojima MGS game? And MGS is a well renowned series in Playstation.

UD is full price while Gears is a bit less.

Gears @ Asda £27 (In store price, they don't even have it on the website)
Gears @ Game £27.85

UD @ Game £42
UD @ Asda £42

Thats the website prices, in store price varies especially for Game who like to charge £5-£10 more for no reason.

Why would it?

So you are expecting 70:30 MGS ratio in favour of PS4. I'm going with 65% PS4, 10% PS3, 22% Xbone and 3% 360.

Because in many cases (like Gears UE bundle) they're bundled for free, so I'm not sure how GFK handle these cases.

So 1.55 Gears = 1 UD (In terms of value). So if we assume bundled Gears UE copies don't count as £0, that means: Gears units sold < 1.55 x (UD units sold)

I hope Until Dawn is doing well. I want similar games with new themes.

It'd be great if Supermassive update us about it's sales.

Isn't is also a budget game? In NA its $40, most of the top 10 are full priced games.

I don't think using prices like that is a good way to figure out the sales. It might be a good guesstimate but that's where it ends because it could be spot on or way off with the way UK prices things so I wouldn't treat it as fact based on todays prices. The UK isn't like US, in the US it's a flat $60 everywhere for the most part unless you take membership clubs like GCU etc into consideration, in the UK prices for "full price" games can range from low £30's to £60 pre-release and even on release. Or low £30s to £45ish if you shop at a respectable place (in other words, not game)

Gears taking the top spot - color me surprised. Xbox's 2nd shooter still widely popular (for the UK of course). The U.S and U.K markets mirror themselves so much it shouldn't be a surprise anymore except for racers/driving games I guess.

American football is popular enough in the UK that they get regular season games played there and is rumoured that London will get a team eventually.

I was surprised to see it so high, but thinking about it American Football does have a fan base in the UK, but its limited so I expect it to drop faster in the chart faster than most.

American Handegg gets an event in Wembley every year and BBC covers the Superbowl at stupid o'clock, so I'm not surprised Handegg is has a growing profile over here.

nice, i didnt know it was big enough. here where i live is niche as fuck that said, one of my friends plays it and i was invited to the team but never went so maybe it's bigger than i think it is.

I don't think that will matter much, as the average purchasing price for "full price" should be close to £42 judging by what you wrote.

The European top 20 best-selling list for the first half of the year is not in this week's issue of Gamesmarkt. At this point I seriously doubt it will be published.
