You mean just by having them, or do I need to sell them in the menu to get the GMP?

guessing selling them

also, the 2 swords icon for recruits is just defending FOBs, right? havent gotten that yet but im guessing thats it?

might not bother that much with those then

This is padding in the literal sense and of the worst kind and I can't believe the game didn't get much negative feedback for this other than just "it stops etc".

Such a poor decision and I have a hard time coming to terms that KOJIMA would let this happen to his game.

Locking an ending like peace walker was bad already and that's one thing but what's here is kind of ridiculous if I have to endure just as many hours replaying the same shit.

Can I get a non-spoilery explanation of what happens, so I can be prepared?
Do you have to play harder versions of old missions at that point? Replay missions with certain objectives?

Fucking christ the R + D target practice is impossible.

I can get 34/35. The last one just isnt there.

I was stuck on this to, there's an arsehole of an isolated target midway up the base when you've got 34, run onto the connecting bridge bust out your NVG face the building and it should be on the right hand side on its lonesome.

They were used for other things in Peace Walker so I expect the same is true for this game. Haven't gotten far enough to know for sure yet though

fuck shit played till like 5 am and woke up one hour before heading off to take care of my niece all day UGH

gonna be giving her the stink eye

Gotta watch out for that, I promised myself I wouldn't touch the game last night and I would try and get at least one good night sleep. Last week I got way too sleep deprived because of this game. it gets to the point of diminished returns where you're not enjoying the game.

Ran out of time.

I probably should have said in the tags. They show the work in progress and the conclusion was ambitious, so you see why they couldn't finish it. It is spoiler heavy, though.

That is ridiculous considering the amount of time this game was in development. Sad to hear it's like that.

Dawww, DD is so cute, poor duckroll.

On the more serious issues, these damn opening credits. I'm up to episode 6 and I think I would have flipped had I not had characters appearance spoiler by the game at the beginning of THE VERY SAME MISSION.

At least it was still an incredible tense mission due to all my screw ups. This is the first mission I think where things can go really awry with no way to fix it.

How do I fast travel in mb?

Use a box with the department you want to travel to. Sit in the box on the "mail delivery" bit.

Or call a helicopter, get in and then point where you want to land similar to missions.

Good lord I am terrible at this game, I get seen no matter how patient I am and how much I plan. There's just too many enemies. At this point it's just annoying more than enjoyable.

Why the hell did I have to be doing the mid-day shift this goddamn week of all times, I barely played MGSV and dropping by Gaf to read people talk about it is fucking stupid, why am I doing this to myself. I want to play. :(

How many are we talking about here?
normal missions end at 3
1
, there are
50
all together. but only a few are unique, most are hard modes etc and some "filler".
I don't know exactly how many I had to do, I can remember atleast
4
of the harder mode ones, but I did a ton of side ops too.
it's not that bad, it just doesn't meet expectations and ruins any immersion / pacing.

Mission 16 is breaking my balls.
How in hell are you supposed to escape from the skulls unit? Tried speeding away in my D-walker but they just chased me. How am I supposed to kill them? Stealth didn't work too well either, they just lurk around the truck...

Please let me know if someone answers this. Hardest mission I've tried so far and I've been having a fucking blast up to his point. Insanely and seemingly impossible
boss battles
irk me.

Hope it's not so bad for me. I'm actually enjoying doing a lot of little side ops. Maybe I'll be burned out by then, but I genuinely love the gameplay when you're stealthing into bases and outposts.

Just hit the 20 hour point. 7% total completion. 7 Main Missions done. 12 Side Ops done... and a shit ton of roaming around exploring, recruiting, expanding my base.

This fucking game. Incredible stuff.

It's such a damn shame that this is the last game we'll ever get from Kojima Productions, but christ did they go out on an incredible high.

They went through a lot of shit with this game.

I just don't get how to destroy a moving tank, especially when they spot you so easily and you're trailing it. Please help.
Develop a grenade launcher.
Shoot the tank. Stay out of the turrets view so you don't get spotted. Shoot again.
Pretty much shoot and walk in circles.
You can also shoot then plane c4 on it when it stops

feel like im so behind on mother base stuff, I just hate looking at it.

at what point should I be able to unlock some decent stuff. I've done the first 5 missions. and a few side ops.

I was downloading from steam, was around 15.5 gb downloaded, had to paused it since i was going to work, turn it on , is back at 190 mb...V has not come ;_; two more days to finish the download
Fuck Konami

Troy Bakers' voice stopped talking to me. Did I mess with a setting? All I'm getting is subtitles.

Yeah, I just saw that. Those have probably nothing to do with this game then.
If anything, they're from the moment he found out he'd have to make a fifth game... Haha.

I'm pretty sure this has everything to do with this game.

This mission goes down in so many ways it's prett hard to help without knowing where your trying to fight them exactly.
I'll give you a tip if you wanna kill them
Fight them away from other people
, but you really aren't suppose to know that yet.

Wow, so at what mission does the actual story conclude?

Jump in the empty tank and make short work of them.
