Forza Motorsport 6 has "wet weather, 3D puddles and night races" + more

More options are always welcome. They are never a bad thing in my book. I just took issue with your phrasing with respect to their vision. Disregard my previous statement.

Thanks, I meant it within the context of their more narrow vision... I appreciate the broad vision.

when they limit options down to the more narrow vision by limiting user choices, they limit a little bit of the enjoyment of the individual experience.

Hey, I take offense to that guy who said having the option to make anime skins somehow detracts from the simulation feel or whatever in Forza.

There were a group of people who made anime skin racing leagues in GTR 2.

This is from Japan's Super GT series.

It can't be helped if you don't like them or whatever, but they are absolutely a real phenomenon in real-life motorsport.

Might as well ask this here.

Seriously thinking of getting this, haven't played any Forza since 4.

Is right now a good time to buy an XBONE? Or should I wait for a soon to come price drop?

Well, I'd consider FM4 to be "Forza Greatest Hits", and FM6 is shaping up to be the new iteration of that. I'd definitely say so, especially if you value varying track conditions.

So no planned price drop soon?

One more thing, obviously my steering wheel will not work because reasons, how is it to drive around with a controller? I can't remember the last time I did that.

Is it just me or is it more difficult to control than Forza 5 with simulation steering? (Controller) Maybe it's just been too long since I played 5.

If there's ever been a sim-style racing game that's supported controllers better than the Forza series, I haven't played it.

I doubt there's going to be an official price drop this year since an XB1 + game for $350 already seems pretty low.

I think so too. Sim steering with the controller feels way more twitchier than in FM5.

I dunno anything about price drops, I was just talking purely about the game.

And yes, Forza is quite possibly the best controller-game I've ever played. There are quite a few controller options that you can fiddle with which is good, but the default settings are that good that I've never actually messed with any of them.

Sounds like a sale for me then, I guess going for the bundle would be the best right?

Does that come with the standard or deluxe edition of F6? Am I going to miss out on something interesting?

Should I pre order at gamestop or bestbuy? I think gamestop has 2 bonus cars and that's it?

I've been playing FM5 in anticipation for 6. My experience has been the opposite. Sim steering and TC off in 5 with a moderately powerful RWD car I spin out a lot. In 6 I've only driven the RX7, but I haven't had nearly as many problems. Now I don't know what kinda upgrades/tune the RX7 has but it feels much grippier.

Does the demo consists only of first track where you drive Ford, 3 qualifying races and that is it right? or am I missing something?

In terms of tracks, yes, but once you complete the demo you can play Rivals challenges. The ones that I know of are Ford GT at Rio, Corvette C7 at rainy Sebring, Audi S3 at Lime Rock, and another I can't remember.

EDIT: F430 at Dubai night I think.

Quoted! Tag is Lucky26

I'd like to add myself please.

Guys he didn't mean that you should quote and reply, what should you do is just press "quote" on his message, you'll see a google doc url which you can open and fill in your details.

Thats the first part of the demo yes, after that, you can restart it and do some rivals events.

Played the demo today, its fantastic. Really looking forward to this... except i have lost the power cable to my Thrustmaster TX wheel :|

Oh there's replays? Nice.

Has to be one of the best demos I've played, constantly having to exit the demo and losing my settings is a fucking pig but it's a fine demo regardless.

Pretty unimpressed myself. After playing horizon I feel the graphics in race are disappointing. I could care less about replay quality, in race is what matters to me. The rain is very impressive though, puddles seem very realistic, and the graphics here look great. The daytime stuff looks awful, the lighting just seems off and the textures look really bad in places. Will not be picking this up. Will stick with horizon and FM5, but mainly horizon as it is more my cup of tea.

Horizon has double the time to make prettys though only running at 30fps, the feels of this demo has me wishing horizon ran at 60fps

Oh to live in days when graphics like these are described as poor.

/fires up Chequered Flag on Spectrum. Waits five minutes. Adjusts tape heads, tries again.

I've seen some tracks, Prague, Alps and unsurprisingly Long Beach look nigh-on identical to F5's.

Has anybody seen Silverstone and the TGTT in the dry yet? Wonder if they've both been lumped with F5's overcast dry and now a gloomy wet or have they been given a change in lighting.

Both clear and sunny would be pretty nice to see for a change.

Is the Forza Rewards stat collector bugged? I bought some tokens for Forza Horizon a couple days ago and it still hasn't given me the Forza Rewards points for them.

In the 90 min polygon video, a section of prague, where you drive through a small cluster of trees, now no longer has those trees.
