Shit, didn't realise that your Staff's skills essentially acted as Perks for Snake

Put everyone in their right place now, but not until I'd already (small spoiler)
got Malak killed
on a Deployment

Can I get him back if I replay the mission where you get him? His skill seems really useful

Fuckin capture the elite soldier side mission... He's sitting by an armored combat vehicle with another guy on the other side of it, and snipers all around. I died once going head on, then retried and went around slowly taking out all the snipers, leaving just the guy and the tank and the other guy.

what happened next was so fucking absurd. I snuck up behind him, right next to the tank, and choked him out and fultoned him. then I fultoned the occupied tank and shot the last guy in the face... XD

When I say "right next to" I mean right next to. The guys were on either side of the tank, inches away from it.

Unrelated question: Do fultoned prisoners go to your staff? I thought they would but I can't seem to find them.

Been making changes since last time I posted this.

Next I wanna get a tiny 1.5X1.5 Diamond Dogs sticker for where the PlayStation logo would be... Then I think I'm done lol

God finding specialists in non stealthy missions is just gross.

if only I know the exact location of the stupid electrospinning specialist.

Absolutely loving this game. It's a true masterpiece imho.

Did you know you can play the tapes from the speaker on the walkman? Press R2 when choosing a song and its the far right option. Sounds so cool.

Gotta say I'm not usually big on stealth but I think I've got this nailed down:

Scan for hostiles
Tag anyone half decent / prisoners
Tag all comms and power generators
Sneak in and plant C4 on said comms and generators
Grab prisoner / new recruits
Set off c4 as im leaving to distract the base

Its exhilarating!

Could anyone tell me how to find specialists after you interrogate someone?

It tells me my map is updated, but I never see an icon or find the person to extract.

They show up as a small yellow dot on the map, they're kinda hard to see unless you zoom in really closely or if they've been already marked by you because that red tag on the map makes it that much harder to see the little yellow dot.

Man, I spent a couple of hours on Mission 3 trying to find the guy I need to assassinate. Cleared out both out posts but on the second one it said "There's our man" but there was no icon above anyone's head so I tranquilised them and sent them back to Mother Base. After sneaking around and marking everyone around the main base and not finding him I quit.

Here's what I do:

Run in with the tranq gun out, choke out/fulton anyone I can, and if I get spotted, tranq to the face during the slow motion, fulton. I vacuum up civilizations.

Wish you could have special tags for enemies you intend to Fulton

When looking at an enemy through the binocs, hit L2 and it'll mark them. I do this to mark ones I especially want.

Everyone talking about the legendary gunsmith and I at this point have absolutely no clue how I'm supposed to go around getting them

You mean a side ops? If your'e talking about the side op I think you are, just look around the radius until you find him, he'll look like any other soldier.

Just curious - does this work like many other open world games in that it allows you to keep playing after whatever 'end' there is?

When you interrogate someone and they tell you about a Specialist, are they always one of the Specialists noted in the Mission screen, or can they have random Skills like Diplomat?

edit: didn't realise you can mark moving objects, cool

Great game, but the voice acting confuses me sometimes. I'm having trouble to tell Ocelot and Miller apart.

I also had to laugh about Quiet's reason to not wear very much. Kojima pulled that one out of his ass and I actually like it.

And I love the chopper, makes me feel like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

So how do we know which MB recruits are the bad apples causing the fighting? Gotta do some firing. :p
They'll be called troublemakers. Put two in the same unit and add some peacekeepers for safe measure.

I've had no real issues thus far and have around 150 recruits.

Good to see you've got rid of that HTC logo. Man you did a fucking ace job on your PS4, shame you don't do these for a living.

It's pretty amusing when a fairly long stretch of successful stealth gameplay, not once getting caught while holding up and interrogating every guard you come across, suddenly goes to shit and you're like "fuck it". Bloodbath ensures.

Just happened to me on the honeybee mission. Used my cigar in a dumb spot outside the base, spotted. So many soldiers after that. Helicopter support and grenades were used for the first time afterward. Total "fuck it" moment.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks. I have about 200 soldiers and keep getting "fighting" notifications from time to time.

Question:

If I Fulton a soldier and die in a mission, is the soldier still collected?

If I'm messing around in free roam, and capture someoneo, but then die... Is he still collected? When I die, there's a new NPC there... So can you just farm NPCs?

Got a pair of questions, if anyone doesn't mind answering?

01) Just completed mission 29. Roughly how much of the main story do I have left?

02) Anyone able to provide a rough non spoiler explanation to how the real ending is achieved?

I somehow manage to not S rank the prologue and I'm wanting to go back to it. But it's so fucking slow to start and all the mission tasks and actual game play aspects of it are near the end. Anybody have tips for this?

12 hours in.

Loving every second. The stealth gameplay is amazing because Big Boss is a joy to control.

Also stealth prone (with the right outfit, if you have the wrong one on order a supply drop) basically makes you invisible. It's great and so tense.

I S-ranked the prologue and I have no idea why. I thought I played it pretty bad.

Alright, got Quiet.

That cutscene afterwards was some crazy stuff.

I have a question about this as I just got her too.

Do you interrogate her as soon as she's at Mother Base or do you have to wait until later, I went to her cell in the Medical Bay and there wasn't a prompt to talk to her or anything.
