Anyone else given the OST a listen? It contains most of the music from Ground Zeroes too. It's great. Even has some of the licensed music on there. The music score is so understated, atmospheric and dark. Love it.

Couple of things I've learnt that I originally asked, but the answers I found are slightly different to what I was told.

Firstly, Radar dishes and CP relays DO respawn, it takes a few missions to be played before they do, but they do.

You can force save the game while in free roam, or in a mission by auto-assigning your personal on MB

You can start main missions while free roaming by selecting the mission from the idroid.

Im 20 hours into the game, and I still cant properly do CQC-disarm-holdup

Whenever I punch those fools and hold L2, boss just aims with his own gun.

How the hell did you sneak up on her?

Everytime i got close she jumped away... even when prone sneaking. I just out sniped her with my tranq pistol... it felt dirty!

I only managed it
when she jumped on top of a tower. Climbed up and I was right behind her. I think she can sense it if you aim at her for a second.

Just a quick couple of questions:

Is there a faster way to acquire
Quiet before mission 11? I know you fight her then but can you bump into her before that?

Also any tips on the best stuff to develop? So far I have:
Stealth Suit 1
Smoke Grenades
Advanced Binoculars
Decoy
Box
Capture Cage
Fulton 2
Sniper Rifle
RPG
C4

I think I'm pretty much set for most eventualities. I go full stealth but if discovered I whip out the
RPG
and target the comms to cut off reinforcements then pick off the enemy.

What is that awesome track from the prologue
(when Ocelot and Boss rides toward the ship)
called? At work and need to listen to it but don't wanna spoil myself looking at the tracklist.

Damn DD is OP. I just drove around the enemy camp in a jeep, he sniffed every guard in there and found the prisoner. A quick walk and a drive out and perfect scores in the mission.

I was unaware you could travel between outposts via a cardboard box as a delivery (similar to MGS1) in this!! You need the invoice for the outpost destination though, but it was such a tiny piece of paper on a sign!!

The tutorial told me this (in case they are also unaware just like I was)

"If you remain still while underneath a cardboard box on an orange-colored delivery point in an outpost, you will be transported to another delivery point. However, in order to specify a destination delivery point, you must first obtain the invoice located at that delivery point. Also, note that the enemy will suspend cardboard box delivers while they are alerted to your presence."

I love the cutscenes but every time one pops up I can't relax because most of the time it means I'm about to fight something ridiculous.

only unlockable through konami code and sega genesis game genie

I think this is the second time Eat has mentioned that spoiler. If not, someone else has just a few pages ago. Unless it's a meme or something?

It's too bad. I probably won't make it to October at the rate these spoilers appear lol

I'm really struggling with Mission 8 Occupation Forces.
I'm just getting boned by the tanks every time. I found a tank I can steal but even then I'm just outnumbered by them and end up getting blown to bits, my hand held rocket launcher seems to be pretty ineffective as it is too.
Haven't had this much trouble with a mission yet, I fucking hate tanks.

Lol at people freaking out over an obvious shop.

Thanks for the spoiler

My god, why cant the people avoid this shit?

Dude wtf tag that shit.

if the spoiler is "quiet is in the game" then I'm sorry, but it's been at the forefront of marketing from very early on and thus I figured it wasn't an issue

if the spoiler is "chico is quiet", it's not a spoiler, it's a dumb joke from an even dumber theory

Oh, I thought maybe the latter had been the case or something. Thanks for clarifying.

I thought me quoting myself and complaining about the spoiler I didn't tag would tip you off. I was wrong. :(

Finally! Just got a message from my local place. They have my copy now. Just need to finish work now...

(not like this interests anyone, but wanted to vent/celebrate)

I've stopped restarting every time I sound an alarm.

There is such an huge angle of the game that is not being fully played by the players (Improvising, combat, evasion).

I used to play the old Metal Gears like this, and it was amazing. And now after I stopped caring going for Pure stealth (I did that in a few missions, it was frustrating and I still didn't get an S)

It's so much fun now trying to escape when something goes wrong.

Me too, especially since it's my first playthrough. Improvising and taking on the enemy and then escaping is one of the most tense and fun experiences I've had in a game this year.

There's always the second playthrough for S ranks.

Yeah, I thought I'd be happiest with Quiet once I unlocked her, but no, DD all the way man.

He sniffs everything out. Including weapons, containers, herbs, guards, prisoners. More consistently and quickly than quiet, too. And he crawls alongside you like a badass. He is, however, nowhere near as useful as Quiet when it comes to combat. Especially because you can tell Quiet where to sit around a base, start her shooting guys, and sneak in from the other direction.

Ranks don't make sense I completed Hellbound with zero alerts and never killed (felt like a boss...a big boss) got a C and Octopus rank

Me and quiet did Angels without wings but I decided to test out full blown battle got a A and Bat rank

Is it just speed based as I took ages on Hellbound being careful

When do you unlock Customize Weapons? I'm at like mission 40. Did I miss it?

Speed is the majority of the score.

Look at the scoring screen, it's pretty self explanatory.
