Yeah, that got old very quickly."You destroyed their anti air radar? That wasn't one of the targets" - Surprised Kaz
It's interesting, but it is sparse... but it feels sparse because there's a lot of stuff stuck in between that doesn't advance the plot. Like, you'll do four merc jobs, and then a mission that has to do with Cipher/XOF that pushes the plot forward, then some more merc jobs, etc. Plus time going back and forth with Mother Base, Side Ops (some of which are integral to the plot), tapes are interesting, all the micromanagement.
The story is simply spread thin among a lot of missions so it so far doesn't feel as condensed and epic as previous games.
For instance, Snake Eater is one long continuous journey, takes place over a few days. Guns of the Patriots is one long journey, interspersed with some stuff in the plane. The Phantom Pain clearly takes place over months and months, but the story is something that... doesn't feel like it takes over that length of time, if that makes sense. Though if you strung all the main story missions together, it'd have a markedly different feeling I think.
We seem to be going at the same pace. Dog is a lifesaver inThings I did today:

Yeah, that got old very quickly.
Things that describe Kaz:
- he's a great CFO and HR manager.
- he's a bitter asshole.
- that wasn't one of the targets.
Things that describe Ocelot:
- likes dogs.
- dislikes engraved guns.
- sounds like Kaz way too often.
- is super chill. No wonder he chose Afghanistan.
Wow, I was doing some combat management while flying in and it turned out my landing zone was hot, but I couldn't exit the chopper because the idroid was stuck connecting to konami's shit servers and I managed to jump out just before my chipper exploded![]()
Is there any real point to playing as playing one of my Diamond Dogs, or should I just keep running around as Snake forever?
Some have special abilities, like faster running or crawling, but I play as Snake 99% of the time.
The fast running is pretty cool tho, it's like Raiden in GZ and it feels like you just fly through the battlefield.

was on my way to a side ops and suddenly triggered mission 11, I'm only up to 8.
at least I now know why the closest drop point for that side ops was way out
Try not to do it for a few missions![]()
I keep trying but for some reason I end up clean without anything happening.
Yooo, looks like this is our first gameplay shot from MGO3.
I'm pretty damn excited since the gameplay in V is so damn good.

This pic's been going around for a while now, right? Regardless, MGO is going to be fucking awesome, such a shame us PC players have to apparently wait quite a while for it.
any tips on episode 29?
Enemies will ignore you for up to three detection each...the fourth one will alert them.
The easiest way to do mission 16 is just use fulton, if you can't do that them get inside a Tank/ATB and keep your sniper (or shotgun) ready. But yes it's annoying when the game forces you like this, Deus Ex: Human Revolution had a similar kind of issue with its Bosses.
