Sony TGS 2015 Conference [Over]

A price drop isn't a big enough bang for you? I kept hoping they would say something about one but with every minute that passed during this event I thought it was less and less likely we'd be getting one this year.

There's no way they'd cut the price in Japan and not cut it here as well.

Already have a PS4, so a price drop doesn't really affect me one way or another. Good for those who waited I guess.

It's bizarre that Level-5 were a no-show again. They were supposed to be at E3, and no there's no sight of them at the TGS conference either. Next stop PGW I suppose.

No TLG either. Bummer.

France loves its anime and Japanese culture though so I could definitely see Level 5 there.

i'm usually pretty indifferent to TGS announcements since i'm not a huge fan of super japanese centric games. but there's plenty there for me to consider this a successful show

-bloodborne DLC (i'm so buying the box set, i don't care that i own the game already)
-yakuza 1 remake (the only really good yakuza imo)
-gravity rush 1/2
-NiOH (probably the closest thing to onimusha we're going to get)
-KOF

i expected far worse. although disappointed there is no dark cloud 3.

With Level 5's console outing much more popular in the west, I guess it's possible something like Ni No Kuni 2 could be announced in Paris or PSX instead.

That and FFXII HD are the two missing I thought we'd get.

Seems like it, or I guess they could save it for next E3 since it was supposedly going to be at the past one. With something like FF7 Remake now announced there may not be something that could bounce a Sony-backed (?) Level-5 next-gen JRPG a second time.

Nope it was aweosme to see that barrage of games.

I thought that too, but if I'd known they were gearing it like that I could've stopped watching a half-hour early.

The bolded was cool. Of course from S-E I was hoping for DQ11 info on top of what we got. I was also looking for Tales, that Level-5 game, and I'm legit shocked Sony didn't have a major title to show off. Like, wasn't Last Guardian supposed to be there? I don't even like that game, but I feel like something happened.

But this wasn't a BAD conference by any means. Sony drowned us in video games, so that part was cool.

I'm slightly disappointed by the lack of Level-5 news. Do they have their own conference or something?

Overall this was great though!

Man.... If all these games are actually released next year, it's going to be a stacked year for Playstation then!

It was a good conference overall. The ending sort of dragged the conference down.

9/ 10 conference. Gravity Rush on PS4, fuck yeah. And some cool ass surprises (Yakuza remake, Ni Oh, KH HD games, price drop)

PGW up next, bring that shit on.

As a Vita only owner i was satisfied, lots of games i will get (don't care if exclusive or not), probably also helps that i don't really care about GR.
PS4 looks solid, i'm really interested in seeing more of that Nioh game. Can't say i'm yet convinced to buy one though since i can get the multi on my vita, i think 2017 is the year i could consider to join the fray.

Conference was good, game after games after games, a small whatever section at the very end, it should always be like that.

That was really good except for Capcom.

I agree.
They shouldn't have announced anything and just announce that RE shooter at TGS with everything else...
Where the hell is Deep Down though.. =(

Is it one of those things that got cancelled and Capcoms waiting for everyone to forget about it?

I mean... it's a largely Japanese focused conference so I'm not sure what someone who dislikes Japanese titles expects from it?

Anyways, I'll be sure to edit in some clips tomorrow if I can. Really gotta sleep and fix my sleep schedule.

Gran Turismo
BC (PSone & PS2)
System & hardware updates
Price cut on Vita Memory cards (I mean what the fuck is still up with these fucking prices?!)
something else I cant remember

I must say the project setsuna and minna no golf didn't look too hot. I don't really like the artstyle.

Overall a fine conference with Ni Oh, Gravity Daze, Danganronpa and Bloodborne stealing the Spotlight.

Consoles aren't doing well in Japan, so it is likely that the price drop is exclusive to Japan.
I'm not saying there is 0 chance, just saying, don't expect too much or you'll might get depressed.

I just think they wouldn't have bothered with an English version of the stream if major announcements like that had no impact on us. It's bad enough watching and seeing all the games I'll never get to play.

I'm legit shocked Sony didn't have a major title to show off. Like, wasn't Last Guardian supposed to be there? I don't even like that game, but I feel like something happened.

I think Gravity Rush is supposed to be one of the major titles now that's it's moved to full PS4. GR2 looks to be really taking advantage of the system as a big project.

Nah TLG wasn't supposed to be there. Only somewhat hint it could be was them hinting they might be trying to find another way to show the game at TGS. Probably somehow on the floor since it wasn't at the conference.

Enjoyed the conference but my word that Umbrella Corps shooter to celebrate the 20th anniversary looked really awful to me and the exact opposite game they should have made to celebrate the event.

My top three announcements:

1. Gravity Daze 2 (inc. Remastered)
2. Bloodborne: The Old Hunters
3. Nioh

GD2 is far out in front though. So hyped to see Kat and Raven again, and already excited to fly around and enjoy the beautiful city. It looks like a massive step-up from the first game.

They said the game was only a prologue to the 20th anniversary celebration, so RE7 is very likely to be the real deal.
Maybe the Eng translator missed that part.

To think that we still have PGW and PSX to go. Man alive.

Yup, another awesome Playstation conference this year. One more reveal at the end to make up for lacking finish and it would have been perfect.

I'm going to be playing so many damn games in 2016.

Biggest surprise date wise for me was that I can't believe they not only dated SO5 but it's actually so freaking early in the year being February for Japan. That's so early in the year we could easily get it next year too.

Hopefully GR Remaster is super quick localized too since the translation work is probably all done.

Should've called it Expansion Pack. Feels more like that.

He actually said "expansion (エキスパンション)" at the beginning of the announcement.

[Edited]
He used "大型DLC(huge DLC)" near the end of the announcement.
So he used both words.

Interesting to see some of them releasing in next few months. Probably after holidays PS4 sales will remain reasonable in Japan atleast.

I hope these games are not total bomba and have > 50K first week sales.

If Playstation Classics for PS4 are going to be announced this year then it's probably going to be at either PGW or PSX.

This was a pretty solid conference, minus some of the western publisher flubs and... whatever it was that Capcom tried passing off as Resident Evil this year. (You'd think they would have learned their lesson after Operation Raccoon City.)

Ah okay that's great news. Not sure if that was me mishearing or whether it was a poor translation. Either way I'm relieved!

ALL THE HYPE WAS JUSTIFIED FOR ME!!

+1 for Kingdom Hearts 2.8
-1 for no Level 5
+1 for GR remastered and GR2
-1 for no FFXIIHD
+1 for no XV or P5, gives more hype to their proper events
+1 for everything else

I think it was a very solid showing, makes me happy about next year!! :D

I will be definitely getting:

- Bloodborne: The Old Hunters
- Gravity Daze
- Gravity Daze 2
- Yakuza Remake
- Yakuza 6
- Gundam Extreme Vs-Force
- Nioh
- SaGa Scarlet Grace
- Setsuna
- Exist Archive
- 13 Sentinels
- Danganronpa 3
- Dragon Quest Builders

Damn you Sony, my poor wallet. So excited! :D

Dream game.

Been imagining that art style in HD let alone that fully made for PS4 HD beauty and scale we'll be using the gravity powers in. Was waiting for that. Thought they were about to end just on the remaster (which was already great to finally have confirmed), but that made my night.
