During the quarantine, can I still fulton people?
Yeah. Just can't do combat deployment.

Did anyone feel rushed during the quarantine plot stuff. The game basically tells you 'get code talker or your men will die' and then teases it for the next few missions. I felt like all my solider collecting base building had to be sidelined while I rushed through those missions as fast as possible. Up till that point I had been taking my time enjoying the game but all of a sudden it was this life or death thing. Sucked the fun out of it for a while.

Right on. I'll take this approach on my second play throughEh, I quarantined everyone right away and then went and screwed around plenty on side ops. Only a few of my guys ended up dying, so it was no big deal to me.

I found it so weird that after I did the Quiet ending, the 46 mission just popped up on the mission menu and that was that. Noone told me to look at it or that there were new missions, it was just there. I feel like I've been missing something? there were no revelations before that either.
It felt really abrupt
I think it would have made less sense if Kaz had said "Boss, we have a new mission for you. It's from your subconscious, asking you to relive waking up from the coma."I found it so weird that after I did the Quiet ending, the 46 mission just popped up on the mission menu and that was that. Skull Face, while dying before he had his chance to shine, was a great villain on face value. I mean, his name is literally Skull Face. His VA was great but his motivations seemed unclear. Was he just pissed because he did all the admin for Snake? Did that reach into his hatred for Zero? What was the point of keeping his XOF team secret (I think this is mentioned in a tape). His homeland and tongue were taken from him, so he, wanted to do the same to everyone else? Including English, which is what he spoke? I didn't really understand WHY he was the way he was, but I know that he was imposing for it.

Torn from my elders I was made to speak their language. With each new post my masters changed along with the words they made me speak. With each change - I changed too. My thoughts, personality, How I saw right and wrong... Words Can Kill."
"Time and again the country was ruled by a foreign tongue. When he was a young boy he lost his native language. The bedrock for any developing child. His country, His family, His face - His identity. Everything was stolen from him."
"Since ancient times every civilizations ruler has had the same idea. When people unite under one will - they become stronger than the sums of their parts. And what do rulers use to bring people together? Language."
"This world will become one - I have found the way. Race, Tribal affiliations, National borders. Even our faces will be irrelevant. The world that The Boss envisioned will finally become a reality. And it will make mankind whole again..."
"America is a country of ;liberty. A meeting of immigrants. Instead of simply assimilating its citizens live alongside others. So the major sought a system that used information: Words - To control the subconscious."
"In his eyes the greatest symbiotic parasite the worlds ever known isn't microbial - it's linguistic. Words are what keep civilization, our world - alive. Free the world, Not by taking mens lives. But by taking their tongues."
"With this i'll rid the world of infestation. Sans Lingua Franca - The world will be torn asunder, And then it shall be free."
"The chain of retaliation is what will truly bind this world together as one"

I think it would have made less sense if Kaz had said "Boss, we have a new mission for you. It's from your subconscious, asking you to relive waking up from the coma."
Although now that I write that, I so wish that had happened.
It could have been Ocelot instead coming in and saying something to the extent of "Boss, here's a tape you received. I think you should listen to it."I think it would have made less sense if Kaz had said "Boss, we have a new mission for you. It's from your subconscious, asking you to relive waking up from the coma."

I mean, I get what you're saying
but it was just there, how did venom snake suddenly know
it's just so damned abrupt and it feels out of place to me
On the chance that you haven't been fully spoiled, her appearance is exclusive to a series of side-ops pertaining to extracting the wandering MSF soldiers. You can visit her immediately after constructing the medical facility on Mother Base where her room is accessible on the second floor with the doorway signified with a blue light. In order to view all of her scenes, you have to wait twenty-four hours with the phantom cigar or depart/arrive back to Mother Base repeatedly as you can solely view a single scene for each photo/mission you've finished with about ten in total. I heard that sometimes you can get a few special scenes outside of those tied to her quest and I triggered one where Paz appears to have aI need to ask this question correctly...
I finished mission 46 last night and got the 'second ending'
However, there is a specific cut-scene I've been expecting that I haven't seen yet.
During the 'coming in part 2' intro, they clearly show Paz, seemingly alive and well and they were surprised to see her. I never saw this scene and I thought I was going to see what the fuck that was all about.
Mission 46 is the last thing I did last night....do I still have more scenes or endings to see?
I'm assuming Venom Snake doesn't know until around 1995 when Operation Intrude (MGS) happens, which is when the mirror and cassette from the "Man who sold the World" scene takes place, and Mission 46 is just to reveal the twist to the player and not Venom Snake.
Hopefully a chapter 3 comes out and further explains this stuff.
You don't need to protect Kojima like he's some precious princess being threatened. You don't work at Kojima Productions, you don't work at Konami, you don't know anything either. So stop telling people to stop "blaming Kojima" when you yourself are so happy to jump to the "this is all on Konami" accusation. It makes you look like a tool of a fanboy. If you want to debate, be rational. If not, go away.
Part of the cut chapter 3 was on the behind the scenes Bluray in the Collectors edition.
You can find it on Youtube Mission 51.
The mission/chapterwith unfinished cutscenes and concept art.wraps up Eli and the stolen Metal Gear
Ishida, what in the hell in this was worst than Meryl and Johnny??just messin with ya
.
personally for me I think a big downfall was the cassette tapes. Some of those tapes especially the significant ones should have been cut scenes I feel. I am stimulated with visuals so when I watch something i listen 100% of the time, due to the cassette tapes I listened but there were a lot of the times when I zoned out and would either go back and rewind it or just say fuck it. If they had more cut scenes than tapes I think there would have been more to the game.

After MGS4 I think Kojima wanted his game as accessible as possible.
That meant optional story moments.
Plus if this was a typical MGS game I don't think you would have gotten a cutscene anyway. More than likely you would have gotten a mandatory codec call.
At least you could listen to the tapes while you were infiltrating another enemy post.
Oh, I know...I'm just hoping Chapter 3 gets finished and release at some point based on the success of the game.

Yeah until Ocelot opens his dumb mouth to tell you AN ENEMY SNIPER...for the hundredth time and drowns out the tape.
To be honest, I believe the plot twist of this game was way worse than Meryl and Johnny. Meryl and Johnny is one scene. The twist of this game not only affects a scene, it affects the plot of the game itself and even dares to infect the original Metal Gear.
As I said before, we all have our different "breaking points". Personally, I believe that a scene that is meant to be very serious and meta, and fails, is a lot worse that a scene that was obviously made to be stupid on purpose.
CEO sees less money going in and more money coming back as a success, hence the direction to mobile.
No amount of money made on MGSV will convince Konami to continue pouring money into MGS.
And with KojiPro already disbanded. I'll be surprised if they have anyone left to give us added content anywhere close to being as polished as what we got.
This is ridiculous how he put every single scene in the trailers...
The only benefit to it is that them being shown out of context/order meant that people probably went in expecting the story to play out much differently (like how the thing with Quiet being interrogated made me think she either turned heel later or you had to rescue her a lot earlier than you actually did)one of my biggest problems with the game, any time there was a cutscene I literally stated "well, I have seen this already" Left nothing to surprise or imagination
i hear ya I just felt the pacing was a bit off. I liked the concept but they basically teased it as 'blast through the next few missions until you get code talker' which is what I did. I felt it could have been handled better. I know I can always go back for the s rank but the first time through the mission is always my favourite. I feel a bit cheated.I wanted even more of this sort of thing. It should have been a life-or-death shindig for half the game.
It's like they forgot to remove the tutorial dialogue from certain mechanics and just let it replay every time. Could you imagine 'snake press the action button to climb' every time you were near a box lolYou destroyed their anti-air radar?
It wasn't one of the targets, but that's put a hole in their air surveilance. The chopper will be able to get in close now.
Why is there only ONE line for destroying AA radars
Kaz's plot line was clearly leading towards some big reveal, possibly that he was still working with Cipher during Ground Zeroes and got burned again.
His stuff is also definitely unfinished.
So... since i don't want to play on ps4 just yet... and pc doesn't support the tablet thingie. Is there a way to get a 100% tapes on to the tablet? i just want to listen to them on my way to and from work.
From the very first scene in the game to the absolute last. I expected a lot of surprises since this is metal gear. This game makes me appreciate mgs4 more. This is ridiculous how he put every single scene in the trailers...
As I joked earlier, unless Miller has Daredevil type blindness, that doesn't make a lick of sense.
There is nothing to indicate he has such a large disability as blindness.
Edit: Don't forget that he was going into active warzones with combat troops right before Chapter 1.
Can anyone tell me how you get the cutscene where someone aims at venom from another chopper ? I am totally not remebering it. In the nuclear trailer, cant link atm.

Not sure if it's clear how much work is left for Chapter 3...I'm not completely ruling it out but ya, it probably wont happen.

isn't it when you take quiet with you to MB
Oh yeah thanks, only remembered how she took down that jet. It's when you take Quiet back to the base and Miller's like NAH SON
