I'm just saying from a marketing standpoint, one would try to plan the most exciting reveals for last.

I am actually loving the roster , a very healthy mix of old school,new blood and fan favorites. A very solid roster.

Would have loved it if Urien snuck in over one of the Alpha characters for the "Ones we havent seen in a while" but eh.

I wouldn't say that. Regardless of everything both are probably high on the list for fan requests if only because they were not in SFIV..I imagine they are coming eventually

I don' t think the number of people on the fence of whether or not to buy the game depending on whether or not any of those 4 are in or not, is that big of a crowd. Sure more people know Gief than Urien..but I don't think they'd be any more of a hurry to buy the game no matter who gets in. The fan base who bases their purchase of this game off of "oh I know that guy" probably will play Ryu and Ken and then drop the game in a week or two anyway. Gief is mad popular, no doubt, but I think we are overestimating his pull.

I see that the only leaks that haven't been discounted so far as of now is the Siliconera leaks (50% true so far) one and the Bogard one.

Now I'm no Sherlock Holmes but I'd say it's no great logical leap to assume that the rest of these rumors are true considering how accurate they are so far.

But, if someone says they know something counter to that, I'm willing to listen...but this being the internet, one has every right to skeptical.
