Well I don't know that, but they said that this game will not be the same as the XB1 and PS4 versions. I don't wanna defend Konami here btw.
Yeah, it's hybrid. So it's got the physics from the current gen and the graphics from the last gen, but all versions are in FOX Engine.

Given the way the game plays on consoles, I'd say that the Xbox One and PS4 ports of PES 2016 are kind of shit.
First year I'd gladly say that FIFA has the game kicked firmly into touch. PES feels dated as all hell compared to FIFA 16 (from what I've played of the 10 hour EA Access trial of the latter.)

What's the main problem. The game doesnt benefit from 1000$ hardware? What a surprise.
It plays as good as the console versions, and graphically is just different. I dont care about updated lighing model if it makes the game look more unrealistic.
And a lot of complains in the OP are not even issues with the game itself.
So yeah, this thread is an overreaction.
They are not that worse.
The game doesn't benefit even from $4-500 hardware. They are worse than the current gen textures and lighting and there is no reasonable reason for that.

We must be looking at different games. That crowd for example, absolutely disgusting. Detail in the stadium in general is appalling. The players themselves look terrible compared. I can't believe people would willingly pay for an inferior product and doing so sets a horrible precedent for the future of PES on PC.

Using the same engine they used for last year (PES 2015) is actually cheaper, and probably easier too because the team responsible on PC version is familiar with that engine.

I find the transparency of the skin on some characters a little unsettling. I'm a pretty pale ginger dude, but you still can't see the coloration of the veins running through my face from 5 feet away. It's a nice touch, it just needs to be a bit more subtle.
Overall though, the facial look is one I prefer over the 'unreal 3' look you see in most games using that engine.

This series isn't shit on pc at all or at least it wasn't before last year when they decided to gimp this version. It used to be the FIFA series that had shitty ports. PC was always on par with the console version if not better especially due to the mod support.
