Do you think PC gaming is restoring the feeling of the Arcade

With the high volume of game releases, do digital stores replicate the feeling of Toys R Us wall of yellow tickets? Maybe if enough retro games come out, it'll feel like being in the aisle?

Maybe if they shove enough 90s style movies on streaming service it'll eventually feel like taking your family to Blockbuster on the weekend, browsing cover art of tapes and picking out candy?

"The feeling" of arcade can't be delivered to you with enough work from game developers, you have to actually be there. The games got people out to the arcade. Once that happened, it was a crowded bunch of people and bassy noises.

OP people think of arcade memories while going "it'll never feel like that again but I'm glad I was there". If you wanted to talk about arcade-like game releases all you did was strike a serious chord with the delivery...

No PC is ever going to feel as good as Newquay in early 90's, playing T2, Narc, Thunder Blade in the Arcade.

Not ever. Its not even possible.

Spending my wages playing G-loc and Afterburner in a Blackpool arcade is nothing like pc gaming.

It's a bit like asking if playing Sega Rally will encourage folks to watch F1.

I can't get punched in the face IRL for spamming Psycho Crusher over in over in a modded SF cabinet(turbo mode) in Mexico on Steam, bro. So no.
