The PC port of PES 2016 is kind of shit

Funny how people still use the piracy excuse in this day and age.

Funny? It is a disgrace really. Just shows how out of touch some Japanese leaderships are, all these old people need to fuck off. I bet it's part of Japanese culture to respect the elderly but their whole country is getting destroyed by these arrogant and dumb grandpas.

That wasn't by design or some conspiracy. Players are buying that bundle.

That bundle is the only way to buy it now. And it's extremely unusual for an item to be a bundle by itself, without clearly listed separate DLC.

For what it's worth, searching took me to the subpage (where one has to buy the bundle), but the storefront banner took me to the bundle page.

The user reviews are now down to 42%, so Konami FINALLY took action.

They are selling the game on it's own in a "bundle" that's hiding the user review score.

BRA FUCKING VO KONAMI

man, Konami is making it real hard to give a shit about them. I hope they have great success with their gambling bullshit. I'm erasing Konami from my lexicon.

Konami defense force? So it's piracy AND nobody cares for sports games on PC. Go on, go on...

It is a fact that sports games sells much better on consoles. Just look at the concurrent player count in FIFA for example, or that MLB/NHL games are not released on PC anymore. Cheating is also impossible on consoles until the said consoles are cracked which the current ones have not yet.

It's been shown that the bundle has been available since the moment the game unlocked and the review aggregate is still available. I was just pointing out that it is disingenuous to show otherwise.

Is it potentially harmful to consumers? Possibly, but there are multiple ways to hide user score entirely.

Just as soon as they port the Legacy Collection to PC/PS4/XBO and put the original Silent Hill PC versions on Steam/GOG...then they can do what they want.

I'm not sure that's a valid argument as these genres haven't been present on PC, or sparsely present at best, for the better part of a decade. Recently, when they do show back up, they are a botched port from the console version.

It's not like there is something like Sega's Football Manager, which is consistently in the top 5 games played on Steam and has buoyed Sega's quarterly reports.

If you think about sports games, they are going to be inherently problematic on a platform where selling updated rosters every year is irrelevant. They will simply be modded into the previous year's game and consumers will continue to play.

I was merely stating long-term trends that does not mean any disrespect to the PC platform. Traditionally of course Football Manager has been on PC as its main platform since consoles lack the RAM, computational power and control schemes to play them.
The situation of PC sports games are quite like CoD series on PC actually if you think about it.

The last quote though is plainly wrong. When non sports game players see games in two years are merely roster updates while in fact massive changes to the core gameplay happens. Only when the platform goes to "legacy mode" will a sports game also goes to "roster update" mode.

The piracy excuse is fucking rich, because they still sell this inferior version port at super high price at south america and SEA region (the biggest market that also most likely pirating)

yeah this way of releasing is so gonna helping their case.

going to hold off buying any 3rd party games on my pc until next holiday 2016.....ps4 from here on out ....

That's... the right takeaway from this...

Anyway, was super bummed about this and feel guilty to be enjoying (and having given Konami money for) the PS4 ver. Especially since I have nobody to play with on PS4... a competent Steam version would've been wonderful.

This one is probably not a shit port, just an old gen port like FIFA did before FIFA11. For the other Japanese companies I think it is two reasons.

1. About game stability/compatibility: it is mostly about budget. If you don't put enough manpower to do the QA for various hardware/software configurations, of course problems will arise.
2. About game features like resolutions, fps, etc.: for framerate it is understandable if it is an old game (or a weirdly programmed Japanese games) and cannot unlock FPS easily. But for other features it is simply a matter of not knowing what PC players want.

That 100% makes this a shit port LOL

I can't believe people are standing up for this dumpster of a company.

Why? PES has gotten a bum deal on PC for years so you shouldn't have expected anything else. In fact the community people for PES said the PC port would be the same mixed gen garbage months ago. Other than Arkham Knight there have been no major issues with PC ports lately(You could argue MKX, but many people didn't have issues and they've been fixed since)

95% of AAA PC ports are far, far better than their console versions and it's disingenuous to think or suggest otherwise.

Either way, why hold off until late 2016 to buy PC games? What changes? At worst you can wait until release day for port impressions that will almost certainly suggest that the PC version of game x is perfectly fine.

I wanna defend konami for trying to get ddr back into the states, but this is pathetic, It's hard to love and hate a company simultaneously.
