Having a prepaid account is a no-go for the iPhone Upgrade, then. I already have the iPhone I want on reserve at an Apple Store for the Upgrade Program. If I sign up for a postpaid Bring Your Own Phone plan with AT&T this week, will that suffice for the iPhone Upgrade Program?

Unfortunately no, to hop on the iPhone Upgrade Program you have to have an account with one of the big four (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile). They may offer the SIM-free one under the IUP down the road, but for the moment, it has to be one of those guys because the phone gets activated that moment

Is it truly confirmed that pre-paid won't work? I've seen various chats with apple people that are contradicting each other...I'm kind of banking on being able to use prepaid since I've been using t-mobiles $30 plan for over two years now...

Basically I'm not going to believe anything until people go in and try it and report back.

The whole point of going with an Apple Upgrade program is the freedom to use whatever plan you want I thought and not be tied to any particular carrier. That's what I'm banking on anyway.

If I have a Walmart Family Mobile plan, do you think I can use that? It's essentially T-mobile. I don't see why I couldn't transfer my service from my current SIM over to the T-mo SIM that is in the Upgrade Program phone.

That's exactly what I've done. Got my 6 Plus outright, will be selling that when the 6S Plus arrives. Same tarriff. Unlimited data, upgrade when you want, just sell old phone on eBay or to CEX or something and it's all just a few £100 to make the difference to the new phone.

Three was so terrible for me I paid myself out of my contract. I couldn't get a decent signal anywhere. YMMV where you live though. EE have been decent but I had the best experience on O2 so will be going SIM only with them when my EE contract is up at the end of the month.

I'm going back to the 6S this time around. I've had my 6+ for about six months and while I do love the big screen, it just doesn't fit comfortably in the pockets of any of my (tight) jeans or pants. I end up walking around holding my phone most of the time.

The bigger screen of the + has been amazing for videos (hello tumblr boys) but the cons have outweighed the pros unfortunately.

Now to just hope that the Rose Gold I've ordered isn't as pink as some people have suggested (I'd prefer more of a copper look).

I should be getting mine a day before the US since I'm in NZ and we're a day ahead (with a Friday 25th release date) so I'll be sure to post some pics if it shows up on the day, in case that helps anyone make a last-minute colour decision 💛💚💙💜❤️

I suspect Verizon's inventory system predicts delivery date based on ship date. In reality they're under contract with Apple to ensure their couriers hold back deliveries until 9/25, and it looks like their system can't see that info. It's a bit of an edge case that probably only applies to Apple.

Yep same for me. Sticking with o2 on my sim deal, buying phone direct from Apple. Significantly cheaper than the ridiculous £60 a month "deals" floating around.
