It's...okay. The combat is at worst servicable, but usually better, elevated by Platinum's understanding of nuanced hit feedback and satisfying game systems that keep you on edge. Just beating up dudes is fun enough.
But I don't know. I'm not feeling the levelling junk and loot system (this is acting as a bit if a deterrent for Scalebound, to be honest), I don't like the big city labyrinth of chapter one because there's nothing particularly engaging about the level design, and the shooting feels pretty bad. Aiming doesn't seamlessly trigger while holding the button and coming out of a roll or car mode which is a baffling oversight from a company otherwise consistently on point with their control systems.
