Man Carol is the most boring female in the Marvel universe. Like Victoria Hand had more depth in her limited Avengers appearance than Carol had in all her past runs.
I'd rather have a solo movie about Sif, make it a continuation of her JIM run. Anything but Carols bland ass.

Gonna be really interesting to see what their Phase 4 lineup looks like - with only three slots a year, it's not immediately obvious how they'd strike a balance between Phase 1/2 sequels, Phase 3 sequels, and new franchises.
Knowing the type of guy Scott is I doubt anything will come from that kiss.
Carol and TChalla's films got reshuffled for Scott/Hope.
Everything else stays the same.

I think we're done with Iron Man solo movies for the time being, and unless something crazy happens I think Ragnarok will be the last Thor solo movie for a while as well. I think for Phase 4 they'll probably have about 5 ongoing franchises (Cap, Spidey, Guardians, Strange, and either Panther or Marvel [I just have a personal feeling that one of those two isn't going to get a Phase 4 movie]), 2 or 3 new properties (this is where they'd shoehorn in FF if they ever got the rights back), and then Avengers 4. And if the Netflix series get big enough, I can see them taking those characters and finding a way to make a theatrical MCU movie featuring some of them in addition to whatever they decide to do with the Defenders series.

I mean Steve Rogers is a bland character, but he's already got one of the best super hero movies ever under his belt. I was never ever an Iron Man fan, but DAMN. This is the MCU. Carol could literally be anyone and anything. The most important thing is that she's a woman headlining her own film, which is too damn long overdo.

Any character can be made into an interesting one. There is nothing wrong with the core of Carol's character. She's just been bland and forgettable. That's why we have people who complain about getting a movie. There are dozens of more interesting characters in the Marvel universe, including a bunch of female ones.
None of these characters were bland in the comics.

Taskmaster only works if you've a ton of pre-established superhumans in the universe. As is, he'd only be able to steal DD's, Cap's and Hawkguy's moves. Not nearly enough.

I'm sure there are some dudes who don't have a love interest but saying War Machine has no love interest is like saying Ant-Man's crew has no love interest: they're pointless characters you only remember due to repetition. All I know from Ant-Man is his friends are Shane's Partner and TI.
Marvel has had so many opportunities to put the spotlight on women but it's always been secondary. They're most well known MCU female still doesn't even have her own movie lined up and they're already talking about the era after Thanos.

Bullshit. Im one of the biggest stark haters in the world, and theres a lot of things you can call the character, but boring isnt one of them.
Pym being boring is ridiculous. One of the more tragic characters in capes, so much that even daredevil has told him to keep his head up at times, and one of if the most consistently written characters. Shit that happened to him decades ago are still in play for him, when most characters have plotpoints of 3-4 years.
And steve being boring is crazy too. You dont like his ideals, thats fine. But i dont see how people can read his comics and come to the point that hes boring
