Sony : Paris Games Week press conference dated

I now want Sony to have an actual elephant at PGW or PSX.

Ridden by Crazy Ken.
Ken instructs the elephant to suck up water from an ice bucket, another curtain draws and we see Mark Cerny smiling in a bath full of ducks. The elephant sprays icy cold water over Mark but he keeps smiling.

Dylan Cuthbert walks on stage, at the very front and reveals that we were actually watching a realtime 3D tech demo created by Q-Games. "Download after the show!"

- New QD Game
- Dreams
- Wild (please Sony)
- GT7
- 1 or 2 smaller announcements

This is gonna be good

I took your evil avatar and improved it.

There's no point in responding to that low quality bait other then you want the drama.
It's a person that is interested in both activities and both the PGW presser and Halo 5 release are on the same date.

The responses frame it like it's some kind of bait because sensibilities are so easily offended around here sometimes that a person exciting about both things that happen simultaneously and not knowing what to do and then writing that means he is a mega troll aiming to stir shit up.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

I'll have you know there is a big difference between a Cohiba and a Miami knock-off. Sometimes a cigar is not just any other cigar.
They give me diarrhea all the same and that's the only aspect by which I'm able to judge them. ;-)

It's a legitimate concern for me. I'm lined up to co-op Halo with three friends, but I also really want to watch the conference and participate in the GAF discussion. Two of them have ordered it from retailers, so if I'm lucky at least one of their copies will be a day late. :)

Fair point. I always get a laugh about that line that's why I quoted it. I've being in discussions first hand about knock-off cohiba's between aficionados - it can and does get heated. It's a beautiful hobby.

Maybe I'll play Halo.

What a spanner, you've completely messed yourself. I guess you like to play it dangerous, yeah?

I did not want to have these reactions because I'm interested in both activities... I don't want to miss the conference, as a French PS4 owner, but I'm so eager to play Halo that I don't know how to resist...

The fact is that I probably won't do any of the two because I'll still be working... The conference is too early (I'm in France). So maybe I'll be working, while watching the conference and thinking of Halo :D

Oh god, this back-tracking reasoning bullshit response is amazing.

Call-Him-Gone.

Oops! Sorry Dad!

I can't see them devoting more than 5-10 minutes for PSVR.

They will say: "here are our games - play them on our booth."

It sounds like Media Molecule will finally reveal the very obviously hinted at PSVR support for Dreams. In fact I'm guessing that, at very least, the creative part of the game will work best in VR, and I can't see them not showing that off, which naturally asks for VR to be a more talked about front and centre proposition all round.

Maybe we will get more solid info about the headset. Maybe a tighter release window. Perhaps an exact date and price, as well as showing off the OS experience in VR, will be held off until the PS Experience thing.

It's absolutely impossible that the PS4 reaches 30 millon in October.

Last year they shipped 3.3 million units in Q2. Where on earth are they going to find another 1.4m?

Price drop for Japan, Asia and US mean nothing to you guys? Reaching 30 million isn't that shocking you know Sony expects to reach 38m by March. What do you guys expect?

Thanks. I'd say 5 million shipped in 3 months is a bit optimistic, but not farfetched. Sold-through, though, is an entirely different matter. Not sure which number Sungetsu referred to.

It shipped 25.3 as of end of June. I just added July for them to reach that sold. It's Dejavu again people aren't believing me, I feel so happy.

Wow, well, maybe I did not express my point very well...

I have to do a difficult choice between watching Sony's press conference and playing Halo. People here take it as "Lol, I'll play a MS exclusive while you'll be watching a conference!!", but I could have made the same sentence with Battlefront if only Battlefront was released on the 27th October...

The fact is that Halo is an exclusive games, so, of course, you've seen it as a bait... Thank you. There is a good atmsophere, here.

You know, you've gotta make your own decisions on stuff like that.

Personally I will always prioritise a live event over a game. It's just 90 minutes after all.

Yeah but Halo 5 is my most anticipated game with Battlefront for the end of the year :(
But the problem is solved... I'll be at work: if I'm not at a meeting, I will stealth-watch the conference from my office ;)

Or if you are really struggling with the choice.... you could ... I don't know... do both. Play your game while streaming the conference on your computer. I do this all the time with baseball games. We have multiple screens for this reason and none other. What a time to be alive.

And what about immersion?!

Anyway, first, I'll be at work.
Secondly, by the time my Xbone installs Halo, it will be Christmas, maybe.

This is the first big conference in France, I'm sad not to be in Paris this day...

If only there was some way to snap the Playstation Conference on the Xbox One to watch it while playing Halo 5.

If only.

I need a release date for Alienation. Housemarque games are phenomenal, plus this one prominently features co-op which is huge for me and my friends.

I watch live conferences on the big screen, whilst using my smartphone to check on GAFs reactions whilst streaming a game on Vita.

Brain collapsed in on itself on more than one occasion but it's worth it. This is my 'we live in the future' moment.

By plugging the PS4 on HDMI in? Is it possible? I don't know how it works, I'm using my bone only for YT and gaming.

You'd presumably have a delay. Why not just snap the native Twitch or YouTube apps as the conference is streamed?

Trolls have a bad habit of sneaking in punches as they backtrack, but we aren't seeing that here. Guy seems genuine to me, so maybe go easy on him.

Edit: Never mind. Seems like we're back to having normal conversations again.

Thanks. I'm just a French guy who can have some trouble expressing his idea correctly in English...

Awww man, this is going to be the first major stream I miss in a long time. I just know it's going to be good. Now the question is do I go on blackout and watch the recorded stream fresh or keep myself tapped in to all the emerging news?

at some point they'll have to announced a release date, price, and a lot more info on games that support it (likely a bunch of indies and a selection of first party - I'm not expecting much if any major 3rd party publisher support). That will require a reasonable amount of time. Either at PGW or PSX

Oh. Well. It's easier ;)

You can snap YT or Twitch while playing on X1 and watch side by side. Or you could just open up the stream on you're phone and watch it.

I have dual monitors and I usually watch most of my stuff as I game on one monitor with the stream on the other (usually League of Legends/Dota 2 tournaments). Hasn't failed me yet.

Getting Halo 5 at a good discount (saving $28) and it's being shipped out to me (free shipping). I doubt I'd even have it by the time the conference starts or even the same day, so it's a no brainer for me.

Even if I do, live events > game I can play at anytime.

I think I'm gonna lower my expectations a bit. I just want a conference that'll make me say "You know, GAF, this really was a good PGW."

Give me:
-Uncharted 4 multiplayer
-Quantic Dream
-Wild and Rime
and -a new big reveal and a smaller reveal

and I will be satisfied.

i'm quite skeptical they'll reveal UC4 MP trailer.

For both PSX and E3, Naughty Dog/Uncharted 4's presence was massively teased/hyped as being one of the showcases of the event.

And with Uncharted's marketing still at a fever high with the recent release of the Collection, if they were going to be at PGW to reveal the MP, they would probably market UC4 being there, but the only game confirmed for a PGW blow-out so far is Dreams.

I dont think there will be much of Uncharted besides a trailer. I am really hoping for some solid info on Wild and Rime.... and of course No Mans Sky. I think Horizon, Dreams and Quantic Dream's game will be front and center. There will probably be some Assassins Creed talk and Black Ops 3 talk as well.
