Wow, those actually all look intriguing to me. I can't find the first one anywhere, though. :( Thanks for the recommendations!

Trying looking for "Eve no Jikan". That seems to be the more commonly used name.

Also, why aren't any of you fools watching Tentai Senshi Sunred?!

Yeah, it's ridiculous. It feels like the directors just played COD:World at War and thought the PTRS in that game was just like the real thing.

I really liked the episode, but
magic sniper rifles
? Eww.

It's fairly obvious why they chose the PTRS.

Really liked the episode:
Hei losing his powers was unexpeted but him wanting to kill Yin was even more surprising.
Pretty brutal ends for August and Nika.

Eh? You didn't notice the bag that she's carrying says "Wakaba" on it? Not like she can come back from the dead :lol

Yeah, I know who she's supposed to be, but
I can't think of an explanation that makes sense. Either it's an impostor, there's a girl with similar looks and the same name who just happened to move into their area, or she didn't die. The last one would be flat-out retarded. What happened, did she get amnesia? Did she fake her death in some huge gambit to get Ko and Aoba to go to Koshien? :lol :lol

SHAFT ALL OVER MY FACE.

(Jason of blogsuki is a pretty big moetard BUT.

His posts are always fun to read and he's one reason why I started following the seasons in the first place.

Also, I started watching Maria + Holic, Eden of the East and Bakemonogatari because of blogsuki so I owe it a lot.)

I don't know man. Isn't blogsuki's author the the guy that got this interpretation out of Bakemonogatari?

Needless to say, we know exactly why Koyomi doesn’t get along with his little sisters. He harbors a deep attraction to them, but since they’re unobtainable by him, he’s frustrated and can’t deal with them. It also explains why he proactively helped both Mayoi and Sengoku, two people who he could have walked away from, but didn’t. Keep in mind he couldn’t necessarily avoid Senjougahara or Kanbaru… both of those two initiated the action towards him. He initiated only with the two underaged girls. Does this make any sense? Yes, clearly now.

It's a bit of a stretch to say the main character's primary motivation was perverse incestual lust for his sisters.

Oh, they finally made it to that point?
Well, let's just say it's kind of idiotic but not to that extreme.

He's probably projecting a bit, lol. Even in Japan I'd expect incest to not be a common occurrence, despite what TV shows try to tell us. At least I hope so.

Anyways, as silly as I think it is to try and gleam a fictional characters intention when they aren't stated by the author, a reason why I hated English class so much because if I want to know why Romeo's doing something that isn't stated and Shakespeare's dead I'd say you'll never fucking know, but whatever, I'd imagine that if you have the power or know someone that has the power to help with supernatural afflictions that you'd be a little more inclined to help someone out. You gotta figure that of his little clique of friends that they're probably the only people in his damn town that know supernatural shit exists and know someone who can cure/fight them. That kinda ups your personal responsibility up there a little more than helping someone do their homework or get a ride or borrow 5 dollars or some shit. If he doesn't help the people he meets then chances are they'll never ever be helped, for any "normal" problem a person may face any of their friends, family, their teachers or a doctor would be a decent choice for help and a person should have at least some of these to turn to.

But again, I'd say, much to my teachers chagrin, that he helps people out because that's the way his character was written and if he didn't there'd be no story.

Man, so far season 3 in Major sucks balls. Is it really so hard for Goro to join a team that doesn't suck? Why is it always "I WANT TO FIGHT THE BEST"? Dammit. I wanted to see Goro and Toshi as a BADASS battery. This gives very little fulfillment for the viewer.

We have seen the "make a shitty team THE BEST EVER" plot strand two times already in the series, why do it again for THIRD time? On top of this, the whole"Let's go to a school that has no baseball club so we can start a baseball club out of nothing and make it THE BEST TEAM EVER" thing is a total baseball anime cliche.
Agrees. I got really tired of watching Major, and Goro with the same fucking pitch.

I need a different baseball show. I watch the first episode of that anime your avatar is from,"Oboro tsutsutsutsutsutsukakakakak desu desu" but I couldn't stand to watch it to due to the shitty main character. I hate timid main characters. Especially in sports anime.
You're missing out on the best baseball anime series out there then. :p

Its good. Watch Cross game dude.

Cross Game is pretty good. It feels very different from most Shonen, but at the same time, it's kinda the same. Maybe it's because the main character isn't the typical "I gotta win" type, but rather very laid back.

As for Major, a Goro/Toshi battery for the rest of the series would be so fucking awesome. Season 3 was a mixed bag. I remember the battle against Kaido being good, but the buildup to it wasn't so great. I lol'd at them building a baseball field on the roof. Goro should've just gone back to Komori's team. If it doesn't interest you at all, I recommend skipping all the way to Season 5, you won't miss much. Almost all of the important stuff happens in Season 5.

Holy fuck, Fairy Tail is awful.

I'm a huge fan of the manga but goddamn that first episode was all sorts of bad. Terrible music, terrible animation and even worse voice cast.

Jesus. Guess I'm only gonna be following FMA:B this season..

What is H2, because I am loving Cross Game.

You should watch Touch as well same creator/manga-ka. All the eps are on veoh website. Don't think H2 animated all of the manga so read the manga instead for H2.

I enjoy Nyan koi! ep 4 It's almost reach seto no hanayome level but still fall behind. But it's good enough.

I don't know why I'm still watching. It's probably the first real harem show I've actually tried to read critically and the more I think about it, the more it's become otaku wish-fulfillment. Every girl ever seems to love this dude... and even the cat stuff doesn't even enter into the conversation anymore. I suppose the main point of the show is the humour, but it doesn't seem to hit those notes at all.

I think I'm still watching just to see what will win the "animu" award between Nyan Koi and Kampfer. :lol

I wasn't interested in Nyan Koi when I first heard of its premise, but after reading the manga, I have to say it's captured my attention. I checked out the anime and they changed a bit, but it's mostly faithful. Next episode (episode 5) is going to be the best episode yet. I wouldn't say it's on par with Seto no Hanayome, but I'd say it's the closest series thus far.

Oh and I agree with the "Cross Game is great" comments.

Ookiku Furikabutte is what you're looking for, seriously. The main character turned me off too in the first episode but the show itself is really really good. And, for once, there are actually real-life justifiable reasons for this show to do the whole "BEST TEAM EVAR!!" thing, if you can believe that, especially if you read ahead where the anime stops in the manga.

EDIT - Zan SZS is the best season by a whole lot. They just continue topping themselves with each episode :lol

Part of the problem was that the scene he used that weirdness to describe was a scene that I'm convinced that nobody in the entire world understoood (the one where Koyomi was lifting that younger girls's skirt), so it's likely to be interpreted weirdly.

i caught a few episodes of cross game. having read the manga, is it worth watching?
one episode i caught midway through seems to indicate to me that it diverts from the manga. possbily by a lot? or maybe it was just filler.
which, now that i think about it, seems kinda odd how they handled wakaba's death in 1 episode, rather than 2. having it at the end of 1 seems waaay too soon. it was hella shattering when it happened. they had to build it up a bit for it to come down harder. or maybe people knew it was gonna happen because they heard about it from the manga, so it happened sooner rather than later for anime production.

where i left off in the comic is end of second year. and with the pacing, the i don't think the comic will be ending any time soon. i'm assuming the anime will have a fabricated ending since it seems to be slated for 39 episodes, of which 30 are out. and i think adachi is/was taking a break from cross game. ...another fma situation, perhaps... but the anime production staff needs to be competent enough to pull it off

I'm enjoying Kimi Ni Todoke, 11eyes
and Kampfer D:

I know people have ripped on 11eyes for having overly generic character designs, but I like the fact that
the henchmen are very bizarrely styled for an anime by comparison, and their motivations for what's going on are fairly mysterious.

I'm hoping that
the mystery continues and things stay interesting, rather than "oh okay guys, we figured out what's going on, so now it's time to do these obvious things in order and beat each henchman!"
I think that's going to make or break this series.

I think so. Best of class music and pacing. This show does more with less than just about anything out there, and it feels very faithful to the manga despite your concerns there.

(It's also very soothing for those tired of Major's "24" style episodes. :lol )

Pretty sure I heard it's scheduled for at least 52 eps though...?

If you liked the manga, then you'd enjoy the anime. It retains that slice-of-life feel Adachi is known for.

I'll second One Outs, but that's more seinen than shounen. It deals with a whole heap of psychological plays, mainly from the main character.

He gets better as the show progresses. Not entirely obviously, as the series is still going in the manga and there hasn't been another anime season yet, but he's no Shinji.

And in terms of straight up authentic baseball and strategy, it is the best. There's no super-pitches or outrageous special move stuff, it's just really entertaining baseball.

Just watched the first two episodes of Eve no Jikan after recently discovering Yoshiura's stuff.

I was blown away. Completely floored by the dialogue and camera work.

HIGHLY recommended for fans of classic sci-fi (Asimov and Phillip K. Dick in particular). Eve no Jikan is everything Chobits could've been if it had good writing.

Just saw Fairy Tail 3. Despite the minor inconsistencies with the manga, I'm really enjoying it. This may sound weird, but I really like how the ending music starts before the episode actually ends.

man....while this was last season (was banned :( ), the Blu-ray/DVD release of Bakemonogatari vol 1 is amazing.

Staple Stable was already good to begin with, but the whole song is really well done (though I assume you guys already figured that). The gem of the release, though, was the audio commentary written by Nisioisin. Most releases generally have the VAs doing some commentary and is targetted more for the VA-specific audience, but this was done from the perspective of Senjogahara and Hanekawa and was amazingly well done.

If subs are out there, it's definitely worth a rewatch.

Bakemonogatari vol 2's out this week...looking forward to getting my copy :D
