Really? I watched the first ep and thought it was "meh". Was I wrong?

Also, what else is good besides Kimi no Todoke and DTB2?

It's still stupid in the way that the first episode was, but at least it's taken a slightly more serious tone. They're slowly exploring the world anyway.

I'm caught up with Kimi ni Todoke and now I want the next episode rather badly. >_< The show makes me cringe a lot, but in a good way.

Cross Game ep. 31 = WTF!?

Hahaha, I decided to watch this week's episode and this is where I got up to in the manga.

I mean... the original premise was contrived, but at least it served an emotional purpose and felt somewhat realistic. This twist seems meant to just introduce angst for angst's sake.

Railgun would be so much better if it wasn't so slow and filled to the brim with useless dialogue.

Blue Literature/Aoi Bungaku was interesting, although I'm not really sure what the point of the story was it was still interesting!

Well, it's still school girls doing... whatever it is school girls do in pseudo-Japan.
Which is why it was kind of difficult to see adults threaten to kill a 12 year old or whatever. That's just a layer of disbelief that I can't suspend.

Lament with me my brothers:

Broadcasting Delays
Kobato: Kobato is taking a week off, and episode 5 will air on November 10th.

Bakemonogatari Webcast: The Bakemonogatari webcast of episode 13 was delayed until November 2nd, meaning SHAFT started animating it yesterday while feeding their animators cat food.

anyone else getting a file not found error for the BMG stream? :/

god i hope it's not IP blocked...

edit: nm, it looks like the server's just hammered...error changed to "cannot view, currently"

Regarding Darker:

I'm not sure I really like Mao's return at all. I loved him as a character, but his exit was a good one I think, one that at least evoked a bit of emotion.

Hobo Hei on the other hand is quite fantastic.

Totally late to the party, but I finally watched the first episode of Bakemonogatari... :O It's absolutely gorgeous with a nice soundtrack to boot. I don't quite understand what's going on, but I like it.

I didn't even watch the Blu-Ray version. :O I'll have to check that out.

I am enjoying Nyan Koi the most so far out of all the harems this season. There is a lot of things in Nyan Koi that I liked about Seto No Hayame.

Can't wait for the next Hellsing ova though, go Iscariot!

Started up Bakemonogatari for the hell of it.

I have no idea what I'm watching, but thus far it's fantastic!

What was with the Child Abuse in episode 3? :lol

Bakemonogatari ep..13? (first webcast one) wasn't quite as good as the previous episodes...actually, it was the lowest point, in terms of enjoyability, of the series thus far. (Not to say it wasn't good...just that everything else past has been at a very high level). The puns weren't that great, though the first scene with Senjougahara and Araragi was pretty funny if you're a VA fan like myself. Story just seems to be warming up so I have hopes for ep 14/15 improving quite a bit. This one almost felt like...a filler...

New ED animation mixed in with the old. Personally, I like the new one better.

On another note, it looks like Hanekawa got breast enlargement surgery...?

Hah I dunno, maybe more like she's not wearing a bra when she's in her PJs? Hanekawa comes off as the suppressed type, and considering this arc, that cat persona of hers really shows how suppressed she is. That said, I loved this ep as much as the rest really. The pacing for this one was probably along the lines of like ep3. Sure it seemed like it went nowhere, but it was showing us a side of Hanekawa we don't normally see. Ms honor student going on about radio show questions and randomness. (Of course, that said I loved the random day to day stuff in liucky star so) While normally, she would be the all knowing class representative.

On ED, yeah I like it a lot. Very cute. Like when Araragi and Hitagi are playing RPS or Shinobu standing between Araragi and Oshino like a child.

Haven't seen the episode yet, but I'll be on it tonight. Does Hanekawa get a new intro? Or is Staple Stable going to be stuck in my head for another goddamn month? :lol

I'm wondering if they'll ever get to Shinobu doing anything for this series; Various sites reported that Aya Hirano was cast as Shinobu before the series aired, but Shinobu doesn't even have any lines :lol

Her intros been done for months actually, but no it's not up yet. Hopefully next ep. You can get a glimpse of the song itself tho in the commericals for the bluray/dvd releases.

Grandjedi: :lol

Well what's the time frames for the last 2 episodes? Should I be just waiting? I don't really feel like waiting a month in between episodes. If that's the case, I might just watch all 3 whenever the last one comes out, really.

Did this episode of Bakemonogatari finish off the Tsubasa Cat arc yet? If not, I might just wait till it's over.
If they haven't gotten to Hanekawa's opening, then I would imagine her arc is not over, and is just 5 parts (technically 6). Whether I WANT to watch each episode individually as they come out and whether I can manage to hold off are different things. :lol

I think the artists must have a thing for glasses girls because Hanekawa got by far the most fanservicey shots in the whole series. Every time she's there, it's a slow pan up from her hips to her chest. :lol

Nadeko's fan service was more risque though :P

Just finished the 3rd episode of Blue Lit. This is pretty heavy stuff.
Oh, and apparently gg is doing subs for it now too, because the their ZSZS guy wanted to do it.

Ugh, why do translators insist on using the Japanese title. Why couldn't they stick to Blue Literature, which is easily identifiable, but no, they had to do it the Weeaboo way or something.

i guess i'll be jumping on the Bakemonogatari bandwagon too..only thing ive been watching lately is DTB2..this year has been pretty dry for me

And yeah, Kimi no Todoke really is turning out to be a straight girl's wish fulfillment fantasy. I almost wonder if I should feel bad for enjoying it so much. :lol
I can't figure out why it's so enjoyable! Normally I'd be bored of a story like this but somehow it keeps me interested.
Anyone else getting really worked up about how the characters are acting? Guess it shows it's quite a good show if it can get me riled up.

This season produce an unexpected gem in the form of a short movie called Cencoroll. It's best described as a grown-up Pokemon with people who control strange alien monsters that had various abilities [one can make itself invisible and another can transform into itself]. Definitely worth watching.

It's strange, because Sawako exists in a space where she is a doormat and depends entirely on Kazehaya, but she takes initiative herself and doesn't depend on the man to save her. I mean, the first episode made me assume that this would play out like a Japanese version of "Twilight" (without the emo teen vampires), but it's more than that at least.

I think I enjoy it as much as I do because the main character has some semblance of agency. It probably helps that the focus is on her making female friends rather than pining for the dreamy Kazehaya with the wonderful smile (every time the screen goes all sparkly when he smiles, I feel like I die a little. :lol ).

Of course, the show just looks amazing and it's pretty well acted without relying on grand angst plots. The other show that would be comparable to this, Winter Sonata, looks and sounds great as well... but once you figure out what that show is about, it becomes ridiculous.

That's my two-bit analysis of the show anyway, coming from someone who doesn't really know (straight) shoujo anime at all.

It's dependent on the weeaboo quotient of the translator. gg uses several different ones so what they call stuff is dependant on the translator on a specific project, i.e. Trapeze/Kuuchuu Buranko is still just Trapeze.

It's pretty awesome. Kind of came out of nowhere for me to be either my favorite of the year, or at least top 2 or 3. I guess technically, FMA: Brotherhood is still from Fall of 08 or whatever. :lol

Bakemonogatari: I will be very sad when this show ends. The dialogue never fails to make me laugh.
Lolicon Koyomi = :lol
Senjougahara vs 4th wall = :lol :lol
"We need to have a talk after we get off your bike = :lol :lol :lol
(Does anyone else really want to see what's inside Mayoi's backpack?)

Snail juice. I don't know what Koyomi was thinking when he did that molesting thing...lil' odd. :lol

Given the ratings and DVD sales, Kizumonogatari seems like a lock for animation.

VERY EXCELLENT, The only thing I would change is make it 4 times as long.

Probably sexual frustration, so he's taking it out on Mayoi.

I don't know :lol

Maybe he knows that since no one else can see Mayoi, he can molest her with impunity. :lol

until Hanekawa happens to walk onto the scene...

Speaking of Hachikuji...was it me or did her voice (or maybe the scripting itself) seem to be really off from her actual story arc?

Devious!

The cliffhanger endings for Kimi ni Todoke are really killing me. :\

I'm up to episode three of Bakemonogatari and I'm not really enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I guess it's just not my style.

man....it's been almost 2 weeks I have still yet to receive my copy of bakemonogatari vol 2 :( was hoping to have it for this weekend...
