THANK YOU CANADA for outing Harper. THANK YOU. Liberal majority was unexpected but I cannot be more happy that we can finally rid ourselves of that ass harper. Maybe finally we can move towards positive and meaningful change?

Joly was always a Liberal and was heavily involved in Trudeau's leadership campaign in 2013

every Liberal knew that she was going to be a Liberal candidate.

Maria Mourani.... now she is opportunistic, from being Seperatist one day then being Federalist the other

Mourani will probably run for QS provincially

Didn't she donate money to the CPC candidate in her riding in 2011...

I was so worried that people would accept Harper's racist and fear-mongering campaign, and re-elect him because of it. I wanted to think that as Canadians we were above that kind of behavior. Tonight proved to me that we are! I'm genuinely proud of what we've done tonight.

Disappointed my riding went conservative but it's not a surprise. Still a great night for Canada.

Trudeau has a lot of work ahead of him restoring Canada's reputation on the international stage. Good luck to him.

I'd say "congrats," Canadian posters, but my wife and I are too busy packing and trying to figure out our cover story so that we can claim refugee status and live somewhere in BC, so...yeah, see you soon.

As a Canadian who left Canada at 20, and hasn't come back, I was always sad to see Harper in power.

Great to see Liberals back in power. Hooray! (kinda wanna move back to Canada now...)

Proportional representation. Don't worry about it though, they'll bring in ranked ballots instead.

Because they benefit a lot more from that than any other system, because if they aren't the first choice of a voter, they're the second. Rigged. Gotta love it.

Surrey Central has been 20% CPC and 75% NDP/LIB in 2011 already, this is not really a surprise :lol

Because they benefit a lot more from that than any other system, because if they aren't the first choice of a voter, they're the second. Rigged. Gotta love it.

PR is a MUCH better system on all levels.

So happy that awful anti-abortion Stephen Woodworth guy is out in Kitchener.

Was hoping for a minority, but I'm happy Harper will be gone.

Will they even need to do that or can they just put the issue to a referendum and send it out to die?

Like Fuzzy said, they'll probably put forward the notion of ranked ballots. They benefit most from that system. Wouldn't even entertain PR. If they did, there'd be a lot more orange right now.
