Yeah, I actually heard that too. I have some friends who don't follow politics at all and their choice was solely tax bill. That's like arguing about bills from grocery stores without knowing what you're getting for that bill. Appalling.

I think a lot of voters keep their intentions hidden until they see the final results. Seeing a close race between Liberals and Conservatives probably convinced a bunch to go out and vote or change from the other parties.

Why? The next election may be a totally different show. I've voted for the Greens every election (voted NDP this election just to try and re-elect our NDP MP) and I have yet to feel discouraged from voting just because the Greens are still a tiny party.

It's different... I think as a Green supporter, you didn't really believe that Elizabeth May could be the next PM. As an NDP supporter, I really had hope and dreams for an NDP-led Canada.

This whole situation is incredibly depressing. The only good thing is that Harper is done.

People forget some of the crap during the Chretien/Martin years because it's been so long, but I expect some shenanigans to happen at some point.

The CPC votes is holding tonight. They polled at around 30% for the last 3 years. What changes is the NDP. The left-wing vote wasn't split this time.
