down charge is easier to combo in to and more reliable than back charge.

Are we talking about only useful when EX moves now? Chun's SBK has never been a useful tool outside of EX. This isn't uncommon in SF. You can find some minor uses for some non-ex moves, but their strength can be in EX. I don't see a problem with that.
Personally, I would hold the same opinion of SBK, then.

I dont have trouble with back charge. When you j.MK, instead of c.MP, do s.MP into c.MP. It combos, is a frame trap on block, and gives you enough time to charge Knee Press for safe chip and pressure.

Decided to bite the bullet and instead of get a PS4 where I don't want any games it has, just get a new graphics card for my PC. Went for the recommended one for SFV, the Geforce 960 and I meet or exceed all the requirements for this now, but the game is so laggy, even in the waiting room before a match, is this normal? I've also tried the game on all different settings down to lowest and it still feels and looks slower than it should be.

Is this normal? Anyone else getting lag in the training room, is it meant to do that because it's trying to connect to another person, is it because I need to get a better monitor or something? Any help with this would be appreciated.

Otherwise, the beta is ok. Not really clicking with it yet and finding it difficult to get into. It's also been a while since I was really into fighting games in general. Just waiting to try Chun out really.

Saw them live like 5 years ago. Shit was so good. I'm more of yuka honda guy though. I liked her album with Yoshimi

I fucking LOVE Yuka. I saw them in LA a year ago and pretty much marked out all night. I've always said she'll probably go down as one of the most underrated producers of all time.

And back to sf, I wonder do people online think my 404 rank is some sort of glitch lol

^^^I spent like 20 minutes talking with her about her work with John Zorn when I met her. Coolest chick

Also wait, did you also just explain to me why Psycho Blast is useful in that situation over Inferno? So doesn't that means Psycho Blast isn't useless?

I actually dont feel like the knockdown is useful. Knee Press is always the preferred finisher because it leaves you in optimal range for more pressure. A knockdown resets the neutral. I was just saying that if you wanted to do it, Blast is preferable.

Random pauses is fine in training mode. All the time is not normal but it could be server related. Do other games run fine for you? If they do it's SFV. The game is not demanding.

On PC here and after a match my game gets stuck on the results screen. Am I stupidly missing something here? :(

No response from any of the buttons.

Happens to me if I alt TAb, a hard freeze. Some people have reported it just freezes without the alt tab, but that hasn't happened to me.

Bison's win quote against Necalli is about how everything is going according to plan.

If by laggy you mean the 1 to 2 seconds of lower frame rate and some frequent complete frame pauses then yea, that's an issue a lot of people had with the game. Seem to be caused by the netcode and happens regardless of your specs.

Yup.

Also, suddenly start winning/being competitive the moment I get to play Chun, since she's all buttons even though I have no idea what half of them do. Can't wait for Birdie.

Chun's V-skill seems really useful in order to screw with anti-air option timings when going in.

I'm not sure if I screwed up and didn't block in time, but I think a Ken just punished my Necalli's successful EX Stomp with a super. Is that possible?

Guess I'm some of those people :(

Really makes this a chore to play. I think I'll have to give it another shot tomorrow. This is going to drive me up a wall if I keep playing lol.

Can someone please check if Chun li still can do instant air lightning legs?

No they're not, and they're certainly not any better than his normals in the games where he doesn't have a totally fucked movespeed.
Different game with different mechanics, different characters to balance around and a completely different Bison! Not sure where you're going with that comparison.

The character obviously works with the current walk speed and is one of the best characters in the game, his tools were built around that walk and it's working out quite well for him! Walk speed matters a lot in this game, if he's already strong while barely being able to walk, making him walk as fast as the other characters would make him broken.

I actually won a round :D I was Chun-Li against Karin and somehow did what I think was my super move. I never play fighting games if that wasn't evident already so I was pretty excited. Came close to winning too!

My Necalli just got destroyed by a Mika who was mashing her crouch normals. Nothing I could do.

Are lag switches a thing in this beta? Just had the worst match by far due to lag, but I've seen any lag like that.

A while ago I fought a Vega who would get insanely laggy only when he was starting to lose. Lag switches are real.
