Sony : Paris Games Week press conference dated

Wild is the one I'm most curious about since I had no idea how it'll play or how the game will be structured like. Everything else you kinda had a feel how its going to work

Earlier this month they stated on Facebook that they are putting the finishing touches to the PR and Marketing campaign for Rime and to expect to hear more about the game soon. The "End of sprint at the studio. Everybody can show off his work to the rest of the team!" post also makes it seem the game might be close to being finished?

Also they said earlier this year on twitter that the game is playable but it is up to Sony Xdev Europe when to show it off; which Sony Xdev Europe replied to that there is a master plan.

Thanks.
Hmm? Wasn't UC4 revealed at E3?

Neil Druckmann's Uncharted 4 (I don't know if it's the correct way to reference it) was announced at E3. However, there was an announcement of the new uncharted (the full title wasn't revealed, we just knew it had something to do with Africa and Magadascar) when Amy Heinig was still working on it.

Do we have any idea what Sucker Punch are working on? Been over 18 months since Infamous Second Son... I'm hoping they are working on a new IP (although I did like ISS)

I guess they and Bend are more likely to be at PSX if they get announced this year, looking forward to seeing what they are doing when they reveal them. QD for PGW, I enjoyed Heavy Rain and will pick up BTS when it comes out on PS4

Oh, I also want to see more of Horizon, Wild and a date for Alienation.

I decided to do an experiment, I said if the quarter lands on heads 11 times in a row crash will be shown, if not crash will not be shown. I flipped it 11 times and I got all heads. Coincidence?

Do people just not realize that Q-Games is based out of Kyoto? It is a Japanese studio helmed by foreign developers who have distinguished careers in Japanese game development.

What are you talking about? Here's my (unbutchered) post:
They don't just split what's left like a couple of kids splitting chocolate. Just like TGS gets Japanese games, Gamescom/PGW gets European games (Rime, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, WiLD, Alienation and so on) and PSX gets American games (Drawn to Death, Kill Strain, What Remains of Edith Finch and Wattam).

I think the only time the market comes into play is when a) They're greenlighting a project and b) If they don't think a project will appeal in its home market, they'll move the announcement to a better suited conference (which is why Tomorrow Children was announced at Gamescom).

Home market: Japan.
Market Sony thinks it would have more appeal in: Europe.

Please read.

That's the best they can get for the president of WWS?

Yep I misread. My mistake. Chrome has been making these weird visual artifacts all over my screen since the last update.

Makes it difficult to read things. At first I thought it was my video card or driver but 9t only seems to be happening in chrome. Anyways apologies.

I see GW2 there :P

The thing I love most is that Sony actually has the content to fill every show each year. They are wholy unique in that area. Even though they have announced like 30 new games this year we still have these laundry lists available of other stuff that could be announced for the other conferences they are participating in. Can't say the same about anyone else out there.

Really, with the announced list being so vast, as I've said before I really want to just see new stuff from already announced projects. There are so many we have seen so little of that you really could fill 1.5 hours with just new stuff from projects announced prior. It is kind of crazy to think about to be honest. Just so much shit out there atm.

Yup.

After the show they have the following for press:
Edit for accuracy:

At 9 PM Paris time the press will get half an hour for simulatenously U4 and Dreams. And than at 9:30 Gravity Rush 2 and WiLD. Than at 10 an unannounced game for one hour. I don't know if there'll be an embargo or what, but yeah that should give you a good idea of where to keep expectations for the conference.

*Please refrain from Naughty Dog behind closed doors jokes pls :(

To my knowledge, all of this is true except the one hour thing that was canceled. :(

Nope, but Shu teased Greg and Colin that he's been able to play something of it back at E3.

Yeah, I feel like Bend will be more likely at PSX between these two conferences.

I wouldn't be surprised if SFV's release date is announced at this conference considering it's only 5 months out at the most.

David Cage's game alone is enough to get me excited.

Yeah I'm pretty excited to see what he pulls out of the bag this time. I'm a little apprehensive about QD's next game after Beyond was a damp squib, but I'm eager to see them redeem themselves. The Dark Sorcerer as a full-blown game in the style of a classic adventure like Grim Fandango would be an instant win in my mind.
