Star Wars: The Force Awakens Final Trailer

Why SOME people always have to make it about race? Why cant someone just say they dont like an actor playing a role without some dick head trying to dismiss their opinion and try to paint them as either a racist or sexist? Some of you guys sometimes man, how do you survive in the real world i wonder. Personally i like Finn as his confused looking face, but if you dont like him thats cool too

This is neogaf. Don't expect people to respect someone's opinion. And definitely don't expect people on neogaf not to spin an argument/opinion/observation into something negative simply because they don't agree with you.

On topic, kinda. Was it ever confirmed this is the absolute final trailer?

Yeah. This is the only trailer. Two teasers and a trailer, all she wrote. More than Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith got, actually.

Probably gonna be some 30/60 sec TV spots though that might sneak a second or two of new footage in there between now and then, though.

Prequel asses don't count!
Jar Jar's farts got on my nerves!

Still feel like Finn has no clue what he is doing with that saber and Luke's reveal is gonna be when he shows up to save his punk ass from Kylo Ren

The last two shots of the trailer were first Finn looking resolute with his lightsaber and the second was him looking wary as Kylo approached him. The first shot looked like he had snow on his face. So it makes me think he gets his fat ass knocked around a bit before he finally composes himself and spars properly against him.

I'm actually excited to be in the theatre for the reveal.

You have to be careful on YouTube, though. The Collider Movie News guys did an hour on the day Luke's appearance in this movie was leaked to the internet. It's, not coincidentally, their most popular episode by like something like 10x. And the problem is, depending on what you watch on YouTube, it's gonna end up in your "recommended to watch next" sidebar.

And the thumbnail is the image. Which is most likely the reason it's their most popular episode by something like 10x. But it also means if you're trying to duck that image, you're really gambling by going to YouTube to watch anything Force Awakens related.

I don't think it's unreasonable to suspect it's about race when someone can't quite explain why they only don't like the casting of the one black cast member.

I haven't followed the toys closely, is there no Luke figure?

Nope. So far, Han is the only character of the trio to have an action figure.

I mean, they're all gonna be coming soon, of course. That's just how Star Wars works - if you're onscreen for like, 1.138 seconds, you're gonna have a toy made of you eventually. But for right now, it's just Han. No Leia, no Luke.

Whoah wait, I guess I haven't been following closely enough. Luke's appearance was leaked? Like, an image or a description?

Yes, it is unreasonable. It's also funny how race would never enter anyone's mind if Finn was white and I made the same observation.

Hand painted. Took a few weeks.

It's only been like what 70 years since Jedi were really prevalent in the galaxy.

How can they be a myth

Go to a third world country on Earth and ask them about events that happened 70 years ago in a different country

Except this is even more plausible because the events actually took place on other planets

Yeah, a picture was taken as Hamill was doing the PR shoot. Just the one image, I think. A buncha news sites ran with it, there was a GAF thread (which I think caused another Thanos-esque flare-up), and then the image just kinda... went away.

But it's basically waiting for you to watch something Force Awakens related on YouTube, and then it's popping up in your recommendations via Collider thumbnail.

Be wary.

You say that like we live in a perfectly equal society.

Maybe it would enter our minds if the rest of the cast was black, and there were thousands of people complaining about the first white lead in Star Wars film online.

Be clear about why you think he doesn't fit in the role if you don't want people to assume it's about his race.

That's pretty frickin awesome

Yeah, I love it. It's definitely a room to show guests of the house. Everyone loves it. If I didn't live 2000 miles away, I'd take some close up pictures of it right now to show you just how detailed it is. Especially on the Millennium Falcon.

I haven't really taken Clone Wars into consideration, but were the Jedi really "everywhere" in the age of the prequels?

I dunno. In our world, Blackwater is everywhere, but you barely see them in your everyday life, and in 70 years I'm sure you could regard them as a myth.

I've never heard of Blackwater

There you go. That only proves my point further.

(They're actually rebranded as Academi now, but they are popularly known by their old name)

Hmm... there were 10,000 Jedi at the time of Order 66, and Blackwater has 10,000 employees. Think about it.
