GOP Primary Debate #3 |CNBC| Burning Bush

As one of the only few people on gaf that can vote for one of these people in the primary...

I'm leaning Rubio.

I felt that he had a good debate, and had good rebuttal vs trump and jeb! Slants against him.

though for being the third debate, this really needed to be down to 5. How on earth this is still 10 + 4 in the kiddie bathroom is beyond me.

Right there with you, buddy. I thought Rubio shined in every debate. Can't wait for primaries.

Someone needs to explain to me why Carson is so high in the polls? I was thinking about this before the debate. I watched tonight and nothing he said was making any sort of sense whatsoever.

I can understand why Trump has been up in the polls. He's a charismatic guy and as disgusting as his views on immigration a lot of the country agrees with him.

With Carson I truly do not understand what his appeal is. Is it possible to explain how he's getting support?

All joking aside, this is all extremely worrying. The candidates, the poll results, the level of discourse for the highest office, all of it.

Oh shit, CNN reporting that RNC head came out in person and was yelling at CNBC for the questions.

Why yell? Not happy that it started with them being grilled?

Did this yelling happen during or after the debates? Because the tone surely did change during one of the breaks, and went into a more softball territory.

I have to keep posting this ;)

He's gotten more airtime in cable news than the other (better spoken) candidates.

Can anyone briefly summarize why Jeb is dead politically?

he's been cratering for weeks now. went from first to fifth. needed a breakout night to stop the bleeding, and stopping his donors from leaving his campaign (Bush is extremely reliant on a small number of high dollar donors, no one else is).

he did the worst out of anyone on that stage, had the least amount of speaking time, AND Rubio had a breakout night, looking like a frontrunner.

he's done.

This is what I just don't get. Nothing he says makes sense, he comes off like a complete pill head. It's utterly and completely bizarre.
Did you see the crowd completely washing Carson's balls? There's your answer. To them, he's this zen-like super genius man which means he is also smart about politics, but he is also a nice and calm Jesus. He can never be wrong.

And here is Carson's entire shtick: He gets called out, and he says the thing he gets called out on is no longer on the table. Keep this in your mind next time you see him answer a question.

I don't know if it happened during the debate but it definitely happened afterwards.

Christie's debate team has prepped him good. They told him "look to the camera when you talk", and "focus on Hillary as if you're running against her." It's a classic debate strategy. It never pays off.

Carson's literally the biggest idiot on stage. No hospital should allow him to practice after hearing some of the things he's saying.

Every time I hear Carson speak all I can think of is the George Carlin line, 'By the process of elimination we can find the worst doctor on earth, and someone has an appointment to see him tomorrow".

Winner for tonight: Rubio

Man was on fire tonight without being super ridiculous about it. He got a lot of good moments that will get played tomorrow for people who didn't watch the debate, and didn't make any major missteps.

Loser for tonight: Jeb!

Dude went from frontrunner to joke candidate that the moderators throw softball questions to.

His fat ass looking directly at the camera and talking down to the audience is not endearing or cute -- it's gross. He's no Ben Carson; that's for sure.
