- The aiming acceleration curve is all kinds of jacked up.
- Maybe I like more auto-aim?
- Motion tracker has about a 12-foot range. Either make it useful or don't have it at all.
- The maps are all cluttered up with extra geometry that I'm constantly getting snagged on.
- The FOV is an embarrassment.
I played like 80 hours of the beta and obviously loved it. It's incredible what they managed to do to it in just 10 months to make me hate it (mostly in regards to the aiming).
I agree on some points. Aiming hasn't really felt off for me, then again, I am a very slow player now, think my sensitivity is 6 with Recon control scheme. Can't say it's much different than the beta, but maybe I never checked. I think the other thread showed it's bothering a few players so maybe we'll see a change.
Motion tracker, I agree is kind of useless at 18 meters. It still impacts CQC game play but it's kind of weird that I can see and be shooting people or be shot from them, but they won't show up on motion tracker. I agree, they should either get rid of it altogether, or improve it a bit again. But remember, for everyone who hates motion tracker now, they had people who hated the motion tracker of the beta (Funknown pls). Maybe they can switch it up for next game, have it work as a proximity danger sensor like Destiny, but also sound based like CoD where gunshots cause you to show up, in addition to spotting (much like how flag carriers get spotted) get added to motion trackers.
Maps, I think they need to make them 'look good'. It's a fine balance. You can't have Forge looking maps where everything is clean and bare, but you also need clean geometry and lines of sight. This is something Halo has had an issue with since Reach though. Unnecessary eye candy. But then remember, a lot of awkward geometry is placed to achieve the pro jumps and skill moves like clamber some obscure corner and crouch jump etc.
I think you should stick with it though. Once the social playlists come, BTB as well,
